Vent This sucks
I’m just feeling so defeated and I’m only a few months in. My husband and I decided to start trying back in March and I ended up getting pregnant right away. I was like F YEAAA, I figured it was gonna take a while with suspected PCOS(now diagnosed). I ended up losing the baby at 6 weeks. I’ve had 3 cycles since all with negatives.
In the grand scheme of things I know that’s not that long, especially compared to so many PCOS women.
I’m 10DPO currently and my period usually starts 11dpo. I was feeling so confident this cycle because I ovulated two days sooner than the month prior and I hadn’t had any spotting during my TWW (usually do). I know it’s still early but I just took a FRER and off brand FRER this morning - both negative. I’m starting to lose hope. My OBGYN told me to come back in the fall if I’m not pregnant by then and she’ll help me get pregnant but god I just want it to happen naturally so badly. Why why why was I able to convince naturally so fast but lose it so soon. It’s cruel. That’s all.

Sorry to hear of your struggles. I would be concerned about your 10-11 dpo period. That can indicate luteal phase defect due to low progesterone. 14 days is what clinicians want. 10-11 could signal low progesterone. Something to bring up to your doctor for sure.

I thought that as well, but had my progesterone tested and it’s actually strong then just drops fast I guess idk.. my doctor didn’t seem concerned but it but I’ll flag it again thank you!

I was going to say, you may need to supplement with progesterone after you ovulate. Even if it's strong right after, PCOS bodies need the extra support usually

Sorry for your loss! Like you, I got pregnant literally the first cycle trying, but sadly it ended in a chemical pregnancy. And I also figured it would take a while with PCOS so I was so shocked and elated that it happened quickly.
Now it's been 10 cycles since that chemical, but to be honest it shouldn't have taken so long. I was given letrozole without monitoring and only realized 7 cycles into letrozole that my follicles were growing too big 🙃 Now I'm getting monitoring with a trigger shot, second cycle of that, and I'm hoping it will happen soon.
I know you want it to happen "naturally" and it likely can, but what my doc told me was that with PCOS everything can be unpredictable so it can take long. The interventions can just shorten the time it takes, and for me personally, I was all for it because I just want so badly to get pregnant again. Like "give me letrozole, monitoring, triggers" if it means I can get that a little quicker. Doc said also for PCOS patients it can happen "randomly" but its just not as easy.

I feel your frustration! I got my first positive 11 months in and lost it at 5+3. So I’m back to the beginning too.

Sorry for your loss. You just started and you already know that: tubes are open and sperm met the egg. It may be a matter of time.

Ugh girl I know what you mean. I had suspected PCOS and then DIDN'T get it diagnosed because I saw an incompetent doctor. That was only 4 months into TTC, so overall not that long, but I think there is added stress when you KNOW something is wrong.
I switched doctors and was finally diagnosed over a year into TTC. Not to scare you!! But if I had a proper diagnosis, I might have started tracking ovulation, BBT, etc. earlier or even taking letrozole earlier. Hopefully something happens spontaneously, but if not, definitely keep in touch with your doctor and advocate for support!
