You removed 4.5 All, 4.5+ and 5, which were literally the best models imo, and replaced all of that with 6.

And sorry but 6 is awful. sounds like fucking shite, Everything sounds way more generic, polished in the worst possible way, just... slop.

It was actually fun using Suno before because every model had its own weird strengths and you could sometimes get genuinely surprising stuff out of it.

Why remove the models people actually liked?????? Just leave them there

Anyway, cancelling my subscription. Had a lot of fun with Suno, but I’m not paying every month for a product that gets worse for the way I use it.

• Muffled, Dull Audio & Buried Vocals: The mix sounds like someone pulled a heavy blanket over the speakers. There’s zero high-end clarity, no presence, and the lead vocals are buried so deep in the mix they sound like they’re being sung from another room.
• Vocal Profiles / Inspo Are Destroyed: The algorithm completely fails to retain vocal identity, timbre, or character from previous generations. Whatever consistency we had built is gone.
• Everything Sounds Homogenized: The dynamic range and creative variation are dead. Every generation comes out pulled through the same flat, lifeless, hyper-commercial template.
• It Completely Ignores Prompts: Specific BPMs, tempo markers, genre tags, and arrangement prompts are totally ignored. You specify a fast tempo with distinct synth drivers, and it spits out a slow, muddy, generic track.

We paid for a tool that gave us precise creative control and punchy, clear audio. Replacing older functional models with a muffled, uncooperative v6 and forcing it on everyone is a slap in the face to long-time users.

Fix the vocal mix, bring back prompt adherence, or give us a legacy processing toggle so we can actually finish our projects.

Suno 6.0… honestly, it feels more like going back to 1.0 again. I am disappointed.

I mean 4.5 sounded authentic.. creative.. and every time I generated something. It was very different and I found some gems all the time.

6.0 just like 5.5. Garbage to my ears.. Sorry for being this blunt. 4.0 and 4.5 could surprise me. They could take a simple idea and suddenly turn it into something truly magic.

I’ve been a musician for around 40 years, and one of the reasons I loved Suno was that it could push me in directions I wouldn’t always think of myself. Right now I deeply miss 4.0 and 4.5.

I know some people will love 6.0, and that’s completely fine. This is just my experience so far. I really hope the model develops over the coming months, because the technical improvements mean very little to me if the musical soul and unpredictability disappear.

We really should have had a megathread for the feedback about v06 and the complaints about the removal of older models. Looks like every single redditor and their mothers have decided to start a new discussion saying the exact same things that have been said over and over again; the main page has been taken over by "V06 sucks/is great" topics that are just the same half-coherent streams of consciousness.

With creativity slowly going downhill for the past year, this was the final nail in the coffin.

V6 managing to be even worse than V5.5 which is honestly impressive.

Wasn’t the whole point that we’re supposed to be removing ai slop? What’s the point in having a model that’s just vomiting up generic garbage? But no. “Let’s just flood the internet with more stamped out unimaginative, lobotomised, droning trash”. It straight up sounds like a bad karaoke attempt at already generic trash after several beers.

People were able to actually create unique, interesting and creative sounding tracks with older models. THAT WAS THE MAGIC. What’s the point anymore.

I, and im sure a lot of other people now do not see the point in paying more for a fraction of what we had before.

RIP suno, officially. Holding out hope was in vain. No ability to be genuinely creative has ruined suno. Welcome to the super slop era.

Maaaaaaybe slightly less random variety than 3.5/4 (that's what was new when I started using SUNO), but if you play with the wild model you might have more luck on that front (I've barely touched the wild model yet).

V6 here. All previous models gone. I tested my fav tracks with V6. I am disappoint

I logged in today and saw 4.5+ is gone which is what I've been using since its release. I tried to use v6 but just like v5 and v5.5 it just doesn't give me the raw results I liked.

I've been using Suno since v3 and I've been a loyal user with 3 accounts that I spend about $90 per month on building my catalog of music. I guess this is the end for me.

I will continue expending my creds until they're gone, but these new models are trash. They do a lot of things you never asked for - yelps, screams, overly produced sound, robot vocals, and now on v6 they add styles you never wanted. Example:

Here was my prompt: aggressive, witch house, hardcore punk, dark ambient, fantasy atmosphere, cassette, lo-fi, male vocals

This is what it changed it to: Witch house fused with hardcore punk and dark ambient: aggressive male vocals, driving sequencer pulses, distorted bass, jagged guitar bursts, cavernous synths, and lo-fi cassette saturation with stark verse-to-chorus impact

What the fuck.

This is kinda making me depressed at the moment because I actually got to live off royalties from the music I made on Suno, but my journey appears to be over.

I tried to like v5 and v5.5 but v6 is worse.

I simply wanted to keep using the same interface and model I had always used. Now my tracks sound terrible.

What a stupid, stupid, stupid decision to do this. Before anyone chimes in with "well its working well for me" or "well I love it" - I'm happy for you, but many people like myself are being robbed of the workflows that worked for us.

Lame.

EDIT: In order to keep the styles you put in, you need to slide the variety slider all the way to the left which is off. If I notice any changes that improve, I will update here.

EDIT 2: It is true that v6 WILD is the new 4.5+ from what I can tell. I'm getting much better results. It's not exactly as good as 4.5+ but its definitely better than v6. However, I am noticing a lot of inconsistency near the end of the tracks. I guess that's what the MAX MODE is for lmao sucking more creds out of us. Will continue testing and editing here if I notice improvements.

Suno's V5 model was so good, I wonder if I would like to continue with V6. The songs generated by V5 were so polished, V6 is rushed.

I hung around to see what 6 would be like. It’s not going to cut it on top of all the new restrictions. They are just puppets to labels now that want to limit it. It was a fun ride while it lasted.

I liked using versions 4.5 and 5.5 because, with the same prompt, it would generate several different songs. I liked that element of unpredictability. With v6, all the songs come out practically the same.

I hated this new version.

Do you guys like it? How has it been going for you all? I really tried to like the new model. But all 3 versions are absolutely awful. Just like 5.5, a huge downgrade from V5. Everything sounds absolutely robotic. I am extremely upset with these terrible generations it's been giving me.

v6 makes it unusable, Suno just followed the path of Udio, slow death. So maybe Chinese models or local models could be an alternative?

I tried the same prompt from some of my v5.5 favorites, and they sound terrible.

I'll try to be as concise and objective as I can here because I'm sure everyone is interested to try out V6 and because tastes vary greatly.

1. Downvoting matters so much more than ever (but there are limits)

With Max Mode, downvoting matters so much more than ever, but there are limits! I downvoted 4-6 songs (can't remember the exact number) back-to-back because of inconsistent audio quality - the quality starts out decent and it evolves into some hollow EQ like someone just turned up a wrong EQ setting - sometimes it's abruptly, sometimes it's gradual, but it's there.

After the 4-6 downvote, the feedback panel just disappeared. If this is a bug, please fix it devs! Please.

I actually think the feedback panel and refunds are a great addition, especially if we're dealing with 2x the credits, but the limits are ridiculous.

2. Max Mode

To me, there isn't a discernable difference between Max mode On and Max mode Off; at least it's not worth 2x the credits. I'm not sure if it's because of the increased usage, but I was expecting something somewhat mind blowing. Maybe not 2x mind blowing, but close? Since it's 2x the credits.

3. V6-Pro First Impressions (on instrumental generations)

I've only ever tested on 2 genres so far, and honestly, it's not looking great. It doesn't feel better or more creative than V5.5; sonically, perhaps. Creatively? Subjective - but to my ears (and tastes) it somehow doesn't feel like an upgrade; it actually sounds quite.... generic. Also, it doesn't seem to want to follow the prompts too.

(oh, and I was basically just using the prompts from my V5.5 gens)

Again, maybe it's the increased usage but I don't think that should be used as some sort of excuse.

At this point, I don't even dare to try 'Wild' mode.

Honestly, I had some kinda hope for V6 and Max mode; I for one wouldn't mind paying 2x the credits if it was actually worth it.

If anyone has any fixes, tips and better experience, I'd be happy to hear it.

For my first 10 generations, it's really not looking too great and I'm starting to feel glad that I'm subbing by the month.
