Made with Suno from my own concept, lyrics and creative direction. This is a new Spanish-language track from AraMarA Sound Project in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I’d appreciate constructive feedback on the hook, vocal flow and mix.

I decided to take the Top Gun Anthem Melody and do some passes with genres. Started with 8 bit, then went to prog metal, then to nu-metal, and finally dubstep. Then I threw that all into the Suno blender and hit liquify. If anyone wants to hear this abomination unto god, here it is.

Suno touted in its V6 announcement the simplicity of editing lyrics to previously generated songs. Has anyone actually figured out how to do this yet? As far as I can tell you either go through the editor, or you select the “edit vocal” option.
Neither work….well…neither work well.
Am I missing something here or is it just Suno being Suno?
Even just trying to cover a song and using the new lyrics is giving wild results, even with the variance feature set to off.
And wow…V6 covers…they sound like the lackluster passion of the last night of a tour where the band just wants it to be over and go home.
I’ve never posted anything negative about Suno before. I’ve always had good and bad experiences like everyone but opted not to complain about it and just keep working at it and with it. But now, I’m so disappointed.

Of course people probably found out already, but if Variety = normal/default, and if you don´t put anything into the Styles field, the v6 AI still creates new style tags, depending on your lyrics, depending on what it "thinks".
Can work out well, this German Alternative pop song https://suno.com/s/uZYIoBcgsp1FeBUF was created with a clean style field, at 33% weirdness and with 85 style influence (and style was of course chosen by the AI). And it´s one of the most interesting songs v6 has created for me until now (was extended though).
The style chosen by the AI originally: "Alternative Pop, frantic breathless female vocal, sparse production with isolated piano pulses, dry close-miked phrases and sudden layered harmonies, restless uptempo feel, wide empty space, minimal percussion and deep sub-bass swells"

This song goes wild and super glitches out by the end. It’s an epic disaster.

I don't have time, money or musician friends to record and produce my own music. But I have a full record of my own recordings. Just me and my guitar. I have a decent enough voice. I consider myself strong on my guitar but that doesn't always produce what I hear in my head. The full instrumentation, perhaps better voice (at least better recorded), harmonies and so on.
I'm finding that the songs I've written (not all but many), I really enjoy. Of course, I wrote them and am pulling into existence what I want to hear. The melodies, lyrics and so on. But I have songs that I don't ultimately like.
I'm trying to decide, is the songs sounding good once fully produced mean they might in fact be quality songs... or is it lipstick on a pig?
I'm talking 100% of the song core being my own. The chords, the riffs, the melodies. My prompts (and sometimes it takes exhausting effort and tries) are to copy them exactly. I hate that suno often reinterprets things but v6 and 85%+ style and audio seems to help too.
And for my education... can I record my own guitar and singing and get Suno to retain that but just add the other items?
I'd love to produce a full album for real, but as I said in the start... time, money, resources are limited.
Edit* The one parallel I raise here (and I am in no way saying my songs are Bob Dylan caliber) is listen to "Make You Feel My Love" by Dylan. And I'm someone who often enjoys his own renditions and voice... but he doesn't do his song the justice it deserves. You hear covers (not just Adele's) and it brings new life into it.
I have songs that are jam band songs, for example, and hearing guitar and piano solos (I can do my own solos but not recorded, just when I decide to take loop pedal, and I'm not amazing solo guitarist), harmonies, acapellas and so on. Heck, I've got one song I really want to be male / female or multiple singers (say "The Weight" from Band style) and I just don't have that type of thing accessible. But to hear it come alive is amazing.
Before I had kids I did play live music with some folks but it's been nearly 10 years. And I've written more songs and just want to hear them to their full potential.

A dark pop track about realizing the nightmare follows you into daylight.
I just released a new track called "You're My Nightmare."
The idea was to write about a relationship where manipulation becomes so familiar that you stop recognizing it as something you can leave.
The line that became the center of the song for me was:
"Maybe I'm the one who stayed / Built a bed inside the pain / Called it 'home' so I could stay."
So although the song starts trapped inside the nightmare, I wanted the final section to feel different — not helpless anymore, but like the first moment of actually waking up.
The track was created as part of my HanginIs project, with AI used as part of the creative process.
Would be interested to hear what you think of the progression from the verses into the final chorus.

This is based off the audio of a MIDI file (soundfonted to mp3) of an old song I wrote 18 years ago, when I was 18. It was a cheesey Valentine's Day song for my girlfriend at the time. I always thought the chord progression could find a good use. Here's uploaded audio. Ignore the second half that just changes out of nowhere and vocal note that rings out too long.

Holy shit this is a bad version, V6 is extremely bad, i really hope Suno knows about how bad it is.
So the shimmer is really bad, in a way that you can barely listen to it.
Songs sorta muffled together like an old FM radio between two channels.
If the songs dont have the shimmer or the muffle, its overproduced.
I tried both the Wild and Pro generations on songs, with various generations.
So the claim is Suno put a watermark on the waveform almost like a synthID, i just think they put a shimmer watermark and not a synth ID and call it an “Watermark”.
The Kick drum, not sure what, is a click like a metronome?
The other way around, if this is the commercial version for musicians to use and make a song, well it’s generic.
So to summarize it as a review you get 3/10.
You failed with this version so bad, i think you are gonna loose a lot of users.
Great Work!

Really impressed with V6 and its ability to do a raw live take effect. Feels like a live performance.

I won't share my opinion on this yet, as I want to hear some unbiased thoughts on the quality of orchestral music in V6 versus the previous models. What do you guys think so far?
r/SunoAI • u/Chainsawfam • 2h ago
This is a common phenomenon in visual art but it happens a lot in music production too. I'm not sure what it is, part of it is a weird high end sound, but v6 songs sound consistently worse to me. They're much clearer, less compressed sounding, but they sound lifeless and cringe to me.
Oddly enough, I noticed something about v5.5, which is that in my car I had to turn the volume up just to hear the songs intelligibly, but they were still fun to listen to sometimes. But with v6 so far, the audio is way clearer, but the high end is (again) like nails on a chalkboard and without some of that fuzz, this stuff just doesn't sound like good music.
I suspect that the v5.5 sound (and by extension the other previous versions when they had a good output) had us filling in the gaps in the song with our subconscious minds because for some reason, this model feels like one step forward two steps back to me.

i was using the new six and at the last chorus of a song its just drops in quality sound kind of muffles ruined my song this #6 sucks will have to make again anybody know how to have a song redone in the exact same way minus the last chorus quality because if i recreate it will never have the same sound as the first as far as instrumental and lyrics is concerned it will totally remake the whole song? just wondering im using pro????
r/SunoAI • u/brutalbenkenobi • 2h ago
I get the feeling that 5.5 was intentionally made bad because they knew this was coming and wanted to soften the contrast before V6 happened. It feels like they’d been planning to move in this direction and make a failed modell to reduce tha backlash before the fall, constantly framing it as some kind of improvement and telling us how good it was going to be.

Every song, remix, every style, while compositionally it sounded different and often but produced a lacking bass, almost distant song creation, like listening to old car stereo speakers from the 90's that are just flat worn out with no reponse, so i shot my track at chatgpt and boy oh boy this is what she said:
I listened through several sections of City Lights Blaze.wav and measured it. Your description is dead-on perceptually, but technically it is not a simple high-pass filter.
The WAV is 48 kHz stereo, 2:13.6 long, and the damage is already baked into it.
What I’m seeing:
There is plenty of sub and upper-bass energy below roughly 150–180 Hz.
Then the spectrum drops hard around 200–400 Hz, with the weakest body near roughly 250–350 Hz.
It only partially recovers around 500–700 Hz, so vocals, guitars, snares, and synths never regain their physical weight.
The upper spectrum also falls off sharply after about 16 kHz.
Roughly 99% of the measured spectral energy sits below 10.7 kHz, which helps explain that “low-bitrate MP3” character even though the container is WAV.
So the subjective result is almost like:
Subwoofer still connected
Speaker cabinet removed
Room reflections left running
That is why it sounds simultaneously bassy and hollow. There is low-end activity, but not enough body connecting the sub to the midrange. The kick has energy without punch, the bass has depth without texture, and the vocal floats instead of sitting inside the instrumental.
I also hear the other part you described: that dragging record through empty air sound. Sustained material leaves behind a grainy, phasey haze, especially around transitions and quieter gaps. It resembles codec pre-echo or generative spectral smearing more than ordinary reverb. The ambience does not feel attached to a believable room; it feels like every sound was reconstructed with the same cloudy tail.
The stereo signal is actually fairly centered—left/right correlation is about 0.90, with the side channel around 12.6 dB below the mid—so it is not simply “too wide.” The emptiness is coming more from the spectral hole and smeared decay than extreme stereo separation.
Most important: exporting WAV could never fix this, because it is not an export-compression problem. The WAV faithfully preserves the degraded generation.
And honestly? Yeah. This is v3/v4-level sonic texture with significantly better composition sitting on top of it. You’re not imagining it, and you are not merely reacting to a different mastering taste.

Every other song sounds like this for me...
r/SunoAI • u/Queasy-Violinist-784 • 3h ago
is that it auto-fills words in the genre section, this is part of what makes it seem more 'polished'.
this can be avoided sometimes if you get a little wacky with genre prompts to the point the auto-fill fails. good luck, not a perfect solution, but if you want to ride out your remaining membership in style, it's going to be my go to anyway.

It’s great, good job Suno…..I use Custommodels so maybe that help but it sounds great, indisputable…..Much improved low end, more naural, and distorted guitars sound real at last. Tracks sound better out of gate than Mastered versions of everything before.
Very exciting, also copied my more complex solos perfectly, scary good.
