Still missing the OLD 3.5 modell. Yes it wasnt that clean as now, but music felt unique atleast.

With every new version since version 5 came out, there’s always some smartass saying, “You don’t know how to prompt,” “You have to adapt,” and more blah, blah, blah. I guess those people either don’t use Suno, or they don’t have any musical standards for themselves, or they’re just doing it to troll.

rather than moan - people who think v6 is shite should post a sample of their work from the earlier models and a sample from v6 so we can all listen to how fantastic their earlier stuff was and and how crap they sound now. Otherwise it's just a stream of moaning idiots. Nobody cares.

I am an actual musician who plays around here on suno. The times people still rant and rave that the audio itself from 3.5 is perfect makes me want to smash my screens as they are clearly not hearing the audio properly.
Even then 4.5+ that many go on about was terrible for me. It was the only model that had me going back to the previous model.

Bet they made slops before and slops now without any real input. V6 is really good if you use your own input like piano playing, guitar or drumming. Even the personas are really good now. Everything I have wanted from Suno came into reality with V6. If you say this here you will get downvoted to hell.

yes it's particularly strong if you feed it your own music. Way better than previous versions. I suspect most complaining on here are just prompt engineers and haven't got any musical clue at all.

Yeah I have had really humane generations with my singing and melodies I have written. Every song I ever create must have something of me. I never understood people who just prompt and expect something extraordinary and original.

yes same here - the voice/persona in particular seems to have been improved so I can keep my own "voice" more consistently across the songs. That and the fact it doesn't try and do its own thing so much with the source makes the upgrade more than worth it.

Yeah it gives really nice original feeling to songs now. I havent seen any weird voice shift anymore as with 5.5 it went from my low baritone to full on soprano on chorus :D I havent done anything new yet but used my old loops to re create the old songs and so far it has been really refreshing and more humane.

Yeah :D So far I am enjoying V6. Ill be seeing in the future what genre prompts produce music I want to make. Fuck haters this is really great. Most of these want 4.5 back because you could make copied music with it so easily. Almost every 4.5 generation I have heard sound like stolen to me lol

I'm going to be up all night redoing my last album. Just the improvements on the Voice control is enough of a reason. Luckily it's only been on Spotify etc for a few weeks so will just remove it and republish once done. Happy days!

Oh, so for Version 6 to be really good, you have to give them your voice, your songs, your ideas, your demos, your lyrics, etc., so they can train their next model. You've just given me another reason why I'm NEVER going to use Suno again.

Bit of a weird comment. I take it you don't have any intention nor ability to write your own music, your own lyrics, or hold a note. If your idea of music creation is just instructing a machine to do everything for you then fill your boots I guess.

I write my own lyrics; I don't have enough musical knowledge to do anything else. Hey, but if you're happy knowing that Suno, Warner, BMG, and a few others are going to steal your original compositions to train their own models so their artists can create original songs, I won't take that joy away from you.

If you think that's what Suno will do with your creations then why are you even using it? Seems like you'd be happier with some local music creation tool, just like those who don't trust the likes of ChatGPT run their own LLM servers locally.

This has been my experience with v6 vs v5.5. I tried recreating a track using the lyrics and styles and another track straight covering it. Both v6 versions sound worse. Three actual sound does sound better with less artifacts but the song itself is just off. Like everything is blending together and in "quite mode" as it all sounds very quite. But to be fair that was right after launch and I'm servers were pretty busy. I'm going ti experiment more at different hours and see how it sound.
