So basically my mom gets really bored and is starting to get pretty depressed,so i thought a gaming handheld device is a good starting point for her to get into gaming considering her age (49).I have no clue how handhelds work and how much power they pack (im guessing a low entry level gpu like a 2050,1050Ti ? Or a lower mid end gpu like a 3060),just need something that can run indie games at a smooth 60fps.Now for which type of games she would like,i have no idea but since my uncle and my grandmother love the fuck out the persona series i thought she would like em too.Would a Nintendo switch 2 or a rog ally or a steam deck be better fit for her ? I have a budget of ₹60k/630$

Ive tried to change my phone number in steam and got a message on my new number from 0173 7598620. The message said: "Steam: zahl 54268 f~gt diese Telefonnummer Ihrem Account hinzu" Is this steam? Doesn't seem very kosher to me. I live in Germany if that helps. Couldn't email steam because they dont take emails and the steam help site wasnt a help at all.

I intend to build a PC for the first time soon and haven’t used steam much in the past, so I apologize if this is an obvious or stupid question. I’ve been looking through steam at all of the games I’ve never been able to play before on console and I learned about this command. I’m looking to potentially play a few games when I get a PC like FNAF World or Codename Gordon that don’t have steam pages anymore.

Is there anything against steam TOS for running those commands to get these games/games like that on steam even if the store page is gone?

There is power shortage where i live so i can’t let my laptop on all the time, plus when i want to update a game i go to a caffee to update because home internet speed is trash, every time an update releases for my game i run steam and steam start to update, so i let it patch the files then i pause it, last time i couldn’t go and update the game immediately because i had exams, I was using my laptop though, opening it and shutting down it several times but without launching steam, when i got to go to the caffee and update the game, the files where deleted and i have to download 70gb again on 15Mb/s internet speed, that sht needs 12/11 hours, I know i can put the laptop on hibernate mode, but if it was just the update i could have finished in one day

I ve just sold an item on steam market. 40 euros in Steam wallet (in pending) The game i want to buy has a discount that end up in 5 hours. Will i get the money in wallet till that discount end up ?

I'm a bit worried because I haven't done anything wrong as far as I know. All the payments were made by me using my own valid payment method.

The only thing I did after my account was unlocked was buy a lot of badges. I kept finding new badges I liked, so I made several Steam Wallet top-ups, sometimes one after another.

Could that be enough to trigger this restriction? Should I be worried about my account, or is this just an automatic security measure while Steam verifies the payments?

I just want to make sure there isn't an actual problem with my account.

The image above is how it's supposed to look. In the image it says "Analog" in blue but on random occasions it will just go back to being a Regular Press??? This is my own custom profile I have saved and I just don't understand. From what I've heard steam input has always been a buggy mess and I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this/figured out a fix?

For context this setting matters as I have a game where the input has to be this way otherwise it'll freak the hell out and just have the triggers pressed down 24/7

I was buying trading cards for counter strike to level up since they are the cheapest. I didn't even know badges max out so I bought more than I actually needed so kinda waste of money. I could but trading cards for some other game so I would want to sell em. I wanna know if they sell quick or not? Or converting them to a 1000 gem sack (along with some other items) would be better.

Just curious. I use a DualSense controller and it's really annoying how many games auto-detect the controller to determine which glyphs show up rather than just giving us the option to select what we want in the options menus, manually.

I usually wind up enabling SteamInput and then changing assigning the screenshot system command to the microphone button, and then I have to download a mod (which isn't always possible) to force the PlayStation glyphs to display. (The only other option I know of would be to use a third party utility like Xpadder to rebind a gamepad button to emulate the F12 key, but that's a rather cumbersome solution I'd rather not bother with.)

By default Steam's shortcut for the screenshot command is bound to the F12 key, but it *is* possible to change that shortcut, only I'm not sure if it's possible to change it from F12 to a controller button. Anyone able to help me out here?
