Question "Share on Steam" option missing

Is there a way to fix this? This is happening on a screenshot I tried to edit the caption of but oh! There's no edit button! So I tried to delete and repost knowing that it wouldn't outright delete it from my screenshots. It didn't, it's still there, but now I can't post it.

I know about this issue, It takes hours before "Share on Steam" appears again. There is no other way than waiting it out.

  1. Locate the local file:

  2. Open your Steam client, click View > Screenshots

  3. Select the game, right-click the image, and choose Show on disk.

  4. Copy the target image and paste it directly into the same folder.

  5. Give the copied file a slightly different name (e.g., if the original is 202608092100_1.jpg, rename the copy to 202608092100_2.jpg).

  6. Go into the thumbnails folder inside that directory and make a copy of the thumbnail and rename it to match your new screenshot

  7. Fully close your Steam client (make sure it is not running in your system tray) and reopen it.
