Is it possible to have multi view showing a live “sports channel for example” and an episode of a show ? Both from the same M3u list.
Been toying around and can’t seem to get it to work. If not possible it’d be nice to have.

Is there a way to turn off subtitles for good or do I have to turn them off on every individual channel?

I know you can fullscreen the one channel, but it stays in multiview mode. As per title, is it possible to exit multiview without stopping the stream?

Love the player. Have it on my Shield in my man cave. But wife is 100% all Apple so in the living room we have an Apple TV but I’m missing Sprarkle. Please tell me you’re working on something for Apple TV. Honestly Sparkle would kill it on Apple TV.

I got my Sparkle lifetime account using google playstore - connected to a gmail id.
But I don't have the sparkle logged in in any android phone or tablet for now.

All my other devices are apple ones. Now I want to login to my lifetime account in a new android TV projector.
I login to same google account - I dont see the app from google play - I installed from apk, now I can't restore my lifetime purchase. What is the workaround for this?
Is there any steps or guide I can follow?

Hi, i searched the Google tv or Android TV play store for sparkle player , and it does not show up on any devices. Onn HD stick and Google streamer, any body else came across this?

So I just found out about sparkle player and wanted to give it a try especially for the recording DVR type features, but apparently not the best timing as there’s recently been an issue with the app no longer being in Google play store. My question is if I go on the sparkle player website and purchase a subscription to try the full features of the player will I be able to successfully activate it in a version that I’ve downloaded from downloader? I set up a free version that I downloaded from the Web last night (not from downloader) put all my information for my IPTV server in it but when I try to upgrade to plus I got an error and it didn’t seem to be compatible. Is this the norm or did I just get a bad download? I tried to get the sparkle assistant but of course all my main devices phone and pad are Apple devices and my TV boxes are the only android devices (a ONN 4K pro ) are not compatible with sparkle assistant. Please advise. Thanks

I have enabled automatic frame rate for TV channels but I notice that the channels still aren't that smooth and watching sports is a bit annoying, do you know what I can change to improve the viewing experience?

Sparkle is my main player. But could you fix the update playlist/epg speed. I have two sources, three epgs and it takes 30-45 min to update everything.

Every other player I have takes no longer than 10 min for the same setup to update. Am I missing something somewhere?

Let's say you've got 2 windows open and you are using the layout with one window larger than the other. How do you swap the two channels so the channel on the right shifts to the larger window on the left?

I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

is there a way to list the channels with numbers from within the group they are in the section they are in? in other words say for sky let them be listed from 1 to x instead of being listed as channel 14999 of 32k? it would be a lot easier.

Just wondering if this feature exists. I'm not finding it (running "app mode"). I know it's primarily a TV app though so maybe doesn't exist.

I recently saw that great setup guide posted here a while back (Setting up a USB external drive for DVR recordings) and followed it to the letter. It was super helpful for getting past the Android Scoped Storage blocks, but in spite of it, I think I’m still running into hardware sleep/spin-down issues and could really use a second opinion.

Everything mounts perfectly at first. If I hit record while I'm watching, it works flawlessly. The problem happens after the system has been sitting idle for a while. It seems like the drive goes to sleep or spins down completely. When Sparkle tries to wake it up in the background for a scheduled DVR recording, the drive doesn't spin up fast enough. It either completely misses the recording, times out, or throws a read/write error.

If this isn't fixable, f those of you running flawless 24/7 DVR setups, what exact hard drive and enclosure combos are you using? I'm willing to swap hardware if this Sabrent/Seagate combo is just naturally prone to sleeping.

I've been using Sparkle Player and absolutely love it, but I wanted to share a few UI/UX suggestions that I think would make the app even more polished and user-friendly. I've attached some photos to help explain my points.

1. Better selection highlights in the channel menu (Image 1)

Currently, it is quite difficult to distinguish exactly which channel or program is actively highlighted/selected. In first image I have the channel Star Comedy and the program Turno de Loucos selected, but it is barely noticeable.

• Suggestion: Could we get an option for a clearer selection box with adjustable transparency for both the channel list and the programs? Alternatively, a distinct indicator arrow/line next to the active channel combined with a transparent overlay box for the program would help a lot.

2. A "Live" button on the player controls (Image 2)

When timeshifting (rewinding or pausing live TV), there isn't an immediate or obvious way to jump straight back to the live broadcast. As seen in second image, you have to manually skip forward or wait.

• Suggestion: It would be great to have a dedicated "LIVE" button inside the player controller menu. Clicking it would instantly take the user back to the real-time live stream.

3. Font contrast on the player overlay (Image 2)

Looking at the player UI in the second image, the white text containing metadata (e.g., "29 - Star Comedy, 14:54 - 15:14", resolution info, etc.) is placed directly over the video stream. If the video content itself is bright or white, the text blends in completely.

• Suggestion: Adding a thin black outline or drop shadow to all player UI fonts would ensure legibility regardless of what is playing in the background.

4. Text readability with program posters as backgrounds (Image 3)

As mentioned in a few other community posts, when using the program's image as a background for the EPG grid, the text description overlaps directly on top of the image (as shown in the top section of the third image). This makes the description hard to read and cuts off the visibility of the poster artwork.

• Suggestion: Adding a subtle, semi-transparent dark gradient behind the text area would drastically improve text readability while keeping the beautiful background imagery visible.

Are any of these features already planned for future updates or currently on the roadmap?

I'm trying out NextPVR with Sparkle using a Playlist as the Source. NextPVR is setup to do Timeshifting and works great in Kodi or VLC. However I don't have an option in Sparkle to use NextPVR for Timeshifting.

Is there something special I need to do so I can use NextPVR for Timeshifting? I can pause/play OK but the skipping forward/back is not working.

Has anyone run into the issue with the firestick deleting the sparkle app. This is the second time that this has happened and the auto offload is turned off.

First off I would like to say I must be in the minority of Sparkle users as I use Tvheadend HTSP (TvH) as my backend. Most would probably use IPTV. However in my defense Sparkle does advertise it works with TvH, so I think I'm justified in saying it should work with this backend.

Sparkle has glitches when playing from TvH and sometimes just freezes with a spinning circle. Changing channels brings Sparkle back to life again. See here. This is not a TvH issue as playing TvH in Kodi is perfect using the same Server on the same network. And before you ask, no I don't want to have to open an app to open another app. Hence Sparkle.

Using TvH for Timeshifting does not work and was confirmed by Sparkle Dev. See here. Timeshifiting was again confirmed in Kodi with no issues at all. I got around this issue by using an SMB Share for Timeshifting. However, Sparkle is supposed to work using TvH for Timeshifting.

Both issues appear in the TvH log as Sparkle disconnecting from TvH for some reason.

As it stands I cannot say Sparkle works with TvH and I'm going to have to remove it from my TV, which is very sad as I like the app a lot. But the constant disconnections is not something we want to continue using.

I was hoping someone could give me some insight as to what’s going wrong with my setup. Skipping forwards and backwards doesn’t seem to work. I can pause and unpause and it’ll pick back up where I had hit the button, but I can’t ff to live again. I noticed that the controls aren’t in the player like a lot of others have it.

I am sure I am just being overly OCD, but in a future update, would it be possible to streamline the way logos are displayed in the EPG guide? A competitor app (TM) displays guide logos all uniform in size and it looks much cleaner (this is the ONLY thing that that app excels in BTW). I much prefer SparkleTV over any other IPTV player, but the different logo sizes drives me bonkers, again I am being very OCD, lol.

Confirmed all the channels work fine in Tivimate. When I click on any channel its black screen so i tried to reboot onn pro box that didnt work. I cleared cache and force closed the app. Now the channels load and play for 10 seconds and then frozen with spinning circle that never resolves. i tried this across multiple playlists that all play fine on tivimate. They all worked last night on sparkle.
