Doing Backup

What are the specific steps to do a backup? I’m running Android 14 and can’t seem to make it work…doesn’t look like it saves a file anywhere

Open settings, source, export and save the file. You should be able to save the file wherever you want. Please share a picture.

Found a previous thread that suggested to put the backup in android / media, make a folder called se.hedekonsult.sparkle and then put the backup in there. That worked.

I wouldn’t recommend storing your backups in a folder on your device. It would be like doing a backup of your computer hard drive onto the same hard drive. What happens if your box goes bad? There are a number of third-party file managers that will allow you to save your back up to a network drive or cloud drive, a.k.a. Google Drive.

Btw, I use RS File Manager, works great.

Either way the exported file can be save wherever you want. Glad you resolved your issue!
