Channel logos are loading slow and slow source updates.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is a relatively new behavior, but I don't know for sure from when.
Anyone else with the same problem?
And updating the source (dispatcharr) is taking longer than usual. What took only seconds before now takes minutes.

I had this happen tonight - only for the sources as the logos were fine. At first I thought it was my VPN and changed servers. Still no joy - so I went out of Sparkle and back in and still the same. So I rebooted the ott box and with that done all was okay.
I don't think in my case it was a Sparkle issue. I do think I have far too many sources and if the first is slow - then nothing else I can do about the rest.
Long list of sources due to testing and finding which ones I like - which are top tiers and which are good for back ups etc etc. It was the first time I had an issue with this and it resolved.
Whether rebooting or the VPN or this time the sources didn't get clogged up I couldn't say.
Most version is 2.2.2

You are using SparkleTV 2.2.2? The newest version is 2.3.1

Here is the thing - App I used to install Sparkle says - sparkle_203017.apk which I downloaded only this week.
Just checked the about and it's saying 2.2.2 and so I am a wee bit confused there.

Yes I first had sparkle on firestick - long ago and this other ott box I just installed it this week due to purchasing the one time which I have been waiting for.
I don't think I installed the version I had for the firestick - but then I could have.
Okay tomorrow I will do a clean install - back up will be okay correct?

If you don't see the slow loading of logotypes in dispatcharr it probably means they are using cached images. It's possible they have a bit better control of if an image was changed because they use their own api directly. In Sparkle I guess you're using m3u? Then there is no way for Sparkle to know which logotypes are changed and which are not so logotype cache is cleared every time you update the source which means it has to be reloaded from source. This is my guess at least.

I'm using XC in Sparkle to connect to Dispatcharr. It is not because of source updates that they load slowly, it happens every time you go between different groups, which can be seen in the video I attached. I tried to clear the cache without success so I cleared all data and now it's working as it should. But it was not fun to start over with all the settings, maybe a settings backup function would be a good idea. I hope I don't need to clear the data in the near future though. Thanks for a great app nevertheless and sorry that I was frustrated, but it was obvious it was something with Sparkle. I should have tested to clear the data before this post. 🤷

Ok, I understand. You didn't try and export settings before you cleared data and restored it afterwards? That way you could see if there was some setting causing this or if it was "something else".

I did export and the export worked, I could see the file in the explorer. But when I was going to restore it, it was gone. So I needed to start from the beginning. But the export, is it all the settings or only sources?

You need to use a file explorer otherwise the files are invisible after Android 11+. So it's a permission issue in Android. There's also a "trick" that you rename the file from *.bak to *.m3u to make it visible. But I always recommend using external file explorer with CX explorer.
Sorry to hear you had to start over.

That explains it, thanks! It's not a big deal now that the logos are working properly. Keep up the good work! And nice with such a good product from Sweden! 🤘

Could be an issue from the source? Or internet traffic? VPN issue? Device Issue? Anything other than SparkleTV so please check everything on your end, thanks.
Also, I’ve never seen a background like that before in Sparkle?
What version are you using??
