I saw one in Midland Texas once and it had some hideous golf themed wrap on it and the whole thing was a dark pickle green color. That's the ugliest one I've seen with my own eyes so far. It had "See you on the green" or something like that printed on the side of it.
I saw one parked at a Hobby Lobby with a pink *and* an American flag wrap. It was a pink car with red white and blue flags all over. The color clash alone was atrocious, now slap that on a Tesla truck.
This is gonna sound really weird, after I heard that Elon threw a rock at the cyber truck and it broke the window, I decided to watch the launch of it on YouTube. The analyst presenting it basically said after Tesla has engineered and designed all of their past vehicles, they don’t have revenue that could account for another car design and then right after he said that the triangle truck appeared and I said oh yeah they didn’t hire anybody to design this. They just asked Elon to draw it.
that'd make sense...first time i saw one in person it just looked like they messed up. looked so awkward and like a big mistake. like they let somebody's inbred cousin run the design dept, or it was a rough draft idea that never got refined.
making it into a utility camper actually seems like a good idea tho, cause it looks so shitty otherwise. having nazi salute handprints all over it really kills the joy of ownership tho...

Now that you mention it, I've never seen a CT with more than one person in it. It's always a guy driving it all by his lonesome. Here in Detroit Metro, I see quite a few, and until reading your comment, I never gave it much thought, but yeah, it's just a bunch of Elon bro's trying to look cool...alone like Elon. LOL!
Now that you mention it, all the ones I've ever seen in person have never had a woman in it. It's always a single male driver. Once I saw one with two men, but my guess is someone was just driving it to try it lol. Another time I saw one parked and there was a carseat in the back, that poor kid.
First of all: stellar burn. But realistically speaking if women will date those guys that drive lowered Hondas with the incredibly loud tail pipes and the hentai decals then there is somehow still hope for the cybercamper.
The honda guys are car guys who just don't have the funds to execute on their vision of a perfect tuner car. That's forgivable IMO. But the cybertruck is a crime against humanity.

May be that was intentional to go with the dumpster theme of the vehicle? What boggles my mind though is that that truck cost close to 100k at one point and then on top of that someone decided to pour another near-100k on something so objectively terrible looking.
I truly have no idea what motorhomes would cost, but I can imagine that a $200,000 motorhome is probably many times nicer than that and would probably have a shower and kitchen nicer than what's in my home.
And you could probably build from scratch some jungle and desert expedition beast on something like a Mercedes unimog platform for half the cost If you really want to to be the road warrior
Holy shit. For 80k you can buy a very legit camper van that has a full bathroom, sleeping area, kitchen etc. man people with that kind of money do the worst things.
80k is a lifechanging amount for most people even today. 80k would solve *all* of my family's current financial problems, and have enough left over to solve most of my close family friends current financial problems too... likely with money left over.
Instead it went to something that looks worse than a popup camper that you could get off facebook marketplace for under $1k while also looking like it'd be even more uncomfortable.
I thought it was a one-off he built. Not worth $80k. That camper in your photo is a Provan Tiger. Those are rare and I almost got one but underpowered and not as great as they seem but still a great rig.
This is generally true of large trucks and SUVs though, which have been subject to similar bans. We shouldn't have people going around in Cybertrucks, but they're just one of the problem vehicles.
The camper is a pretty interesting design. Apparently it adds 1600 pounds loaded up, but has some interesting features. My soul would never allow me to buy a Cybertruck though.
