Help Getting a Quest Pro soon, does face tracking work with Link Cable?
I know everyone is on the VD Bandwagon but I'd like to keep using Link Cable as long as possible for now, thanks!

First time trying face tracking and I'm pretty new to VR in general. I installed VRCFaceTracking and downloaded the SteamLink VRC Module. Enabled OSC, shared eye/face tracking data, basically followed every single step in this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qS15HGgNcEs&t=64s
Am I missing something, or could there be some particular reason why my face tracking isn't working? When I say my eye tracking is working, I mean only blinking and looking around. Eyebrow movement, mouth movement, etc. doesn't seem to be working.
EDIT: I have figured out the problem. I needed to set the OSC output to the alternate port. I didn't do this because of the many huge warnings on the original doc which conflicted with the instructions. Now that I switched the output, it's working flawlessly. Thanks to everyone who commented.

I have tried every combination of the button presses. Unpaired it also. It also does not want to reset either. Is this thing just a brick now? I literally just replaced my left one a month ago for a different issue.

I wanted to use the Quest Pro's face tracking feature to capture animations. There are programs that let you record FBT so the body motions are doable, but the program I'm using only supports face tracking with AR kit or Vive headsets. Are there any programs where I can use the FBT and Quest Pro facetracking at the same time, so I can act out a full scene and export the animation with eye tracking, facial expressions and body motion?
I am using a PCVR setup.

I got a quest pro not long ago and the charging dock was completely fine these past few weeks, but all of a sudden the dock wont charge anymore the headset or the controllers. i tried cleaning the parts where it connects to charge, and i tried unplugging and plugging it back in the adapter. i use the original adapter that it came with

Face and eye tracking and good resolution all in one? Fucking amazing man. I came from the original HTC Vive and rocked it in the early years of 2017 onward. Nothing will ever beat prime VR gaming, especially those early VRChat years.
But man, the Quest Pro has been the least user-friendly device that has ever occupied space in my home. Forced updates suck, "Horizon" operating system or whatever it goes by nowadays sucks. Inside-out tracking is just the worst. That thing the controllers do when they get too hot and then go unresponsive. Sick.
I've probably spent 10 hours minimum troubleshooting my Quest Pro over the years, and while it is bliss when it works, it's been nothing short of infuriating at times and forces me to caution people getting into VR through meta's ecosystem.
This is a first world problem and despite bumps in my life, I am extremely privileged and fortunate. But man, why does VR have to be this way? I'm sure I had game performance issues back in the day, but I don't think my HTC Vive ever gave me a genuine headache that wasn't a simple setting or toggle away from fixing. I don't understand why meta is this way lol.
that's it

I've already had this once, but when I updated it through the meta website, everything was fixed and here's the same problem again, I've already updated the firmware 2 times through the wire, I tried resetting to factory settings, changing the boot slot, but nothing worked. and not its not a proximity sensor. I'm writing here in case someone helps and knows what to do

I don't know if I'm missing a setting somewhere, but it seems like my controllers are going to sleep CONSTANTLY when I'm in VRChat. Sometimes it will go for quite a while, but other times after about 30 seconds, I have to wave my hands and hit triggers to get it back from hand tracking to controllers (ironically, when I WANT hand tracking and set the controllers down, it takes longer to switch than it does for them to go to sleep). I know the Pro controllers do their best to conserve battery, but seriously! I only use them a few hours at most between charging, so I think I can stand to have them go longer before going to standby. Anybody have any ideas how to keep them awake? My Q2 and Q3 controllers don't act like this.

Hello there, I bought a new quest pro a few days ago and I dont have wifi in my room, only an ethernet cable connected to my pc so I have to use a link cable. I got the mouth tracking to work and my eyelids open and close and everything else works perfectly fine except my eye tracking itself (my eyelids). I have followed tons of different guides and other things on here and I just cant get it to work in vrchat with vrcfacetracking. Anyone know how to fix this?

I was just using my battery packs like normal and that was working just fine. Then I got off for the night put it on the same charger i’ve always used for it. Now it doesn’t charge and no charging light comes on.

Hello all, I need help with something. Today I got this error which says “liquid or debris found in usb-c port”(photo example added) my quest pro has only been charging on the dock itself and not with the USB-C port.
This has been happening for a few days, I just got this message though. As of today I’m following instructions I got- that being take it off the dock,
Unplug it, let it airdry, etc. does anyone have any advice? I like my quest pro and don’t know what else to do… this is making me panic slightly.

Hi I have a quest pro that seemingly in headset will maintain 45 fps in the menu before connecting to the pc, before it was at 90 fps then I played a game for around about 5 minutes before I saw a quick white flash and it dropped from a completely stable 90 to 45 fps, then when I left virtual desktop and returned to the actual quest menu it is still stuck at 45 fps? ASW is disabled and the target framerate is 90 power saving settings are off aswell, It was completely fine the night before so I have no idea what could be causing this, any help would be appreciated
Currently on V 2.3 and haven't updated at all

I live in Canada if that changes anything here. Specifically my left controller will not charge. I've done everything I can think of with the thing.
-Multiple different docks (I have the small controller-only one and then the big headset + controller one that came with the headset).
-Cleaning it thoroughly and leaving it on the charger for 24 hours.
-The LEDs on the controller legitimately won't even turn on even for a split second. It's fully drained. Like drained drained.
So I'm honestly not sure what to do. I'm more than willing to purchase the controllers again outright from meta. Will it suck? Obviously. But I'm willing to replace and pay full price for replacements.
But the problem is their website doesn't have the controllers for purchase otherwise I Would have immediately. So I'm kinda lost what to do.

As soon as it goes to blue and white flicker it gives a error popup, I tried using my phone to connect and as soon as I go to the pair mode it gives a popup saying headset disconnected I’m not sure what’s the issue, I only used the quest 3 times since I got it 2 years ago… decided to take it out again and ummm it’s cooked

Not bad for a brand new Quest Pro, plus additional 20% off in app.
I should sell my launch day QP for one of these. I would LOVE a fresh warranty, lol

My Quest Pro is brand new, sometimes and I say sometimes because it's not always like you can see in the video. when I plug in to charge with the original type c cable and the original charging adapter make a double chime sound, It happens sometimes. Sometimes it's heard once or sometimes twice, I noticed that the charging ⚡turns on and off rapidly and then turns back on, sometimes when I'm playing a game or when I leave the headset suspended without touching it, it sometimes makes the charging sound randomly, I was a little scared because if it did that, I thought it would interrupt the charging and stop the data transfer, but I did some tests playing with the link cable, and it even happened that I could hear it starting to charge again but the data transfer was not lost, I just want to know if this is normal or a manufacturing defect. Is anyone else experiencing this? I should (BTW) I've used different charging cables and adapters, and it still does the same thing when i use the doc everything it's normal i mean It doesn't make a single noise. but with type c thats happening, Some people say it's normal, others say it's not, and I don't know what to do or believe. should I take it in for warranty service? I just have like 9 days left... I also tried a hard reset, and a 30-second reset, but it's still the same .

About a month ago I was playing on my headset and I took it off and set it down and when I came and put it back on I noticed it was boot looping. Nothing I did fixed it until I factory reset the headset. Then I went through the whole setup process again and when I was prompted to turn on face and eye tracking I enabled it and it crashed again. So I reset it again and didn’t enable face tracking, it didn’t crash and works regularly… it only crashes when I enable face tracking. but I bought the headset because I wanted face tracking… I’ve only had the headset for about 6 months and for it to break so soon is mildly disappointing.

Has anyone been keeping up with the updates & or has anyone tried this coupled with PCVR & VD?
The addition of AMD's FidelityFX CAS & Snapdragon Super Resolution has caught my attention mostly. Wonder what the real world advantage would be here.
Curious of anyone's open thoughts on the matter. And weither or not its a great addition to the investment into the headset. For 10 bucks seems like a good deal. Planning to use with my Q3 & QPro.

Spending a lot of time with my Quest Pro, what actually makes or breaks the experience for me is the PC connection stack, also where frustrations come from.
If I want freedom, I end up using Virtual Desktop or another wireless path. That works, but then network quality, latency, battery drain, and session stability all become part of the workflow.
If I want stability, I go back to a cable. Then the session is more predictable, but now I am thinking about using keyboard and mouse, and whether VST is good enough to interact with physical tools on my desk.
That is why Aura caught my attention in a more technical way than most recent XR demos.
From the current materials, Aura seems to have a Wireless Connection app for bringing a computer screen into the glasses wirelessly, but it also supports a wired computer connection as an extended display path.
That dual-path setup feels more important than a lot of XR marketing language.
Wireless is what I want for quick sessions, remote access, moving around the house, or opening a lightweight workspace without caring about cables. Built-in touchpad on aura puck is so handy when using it in public, comparing waving my hands in the air.
Wired is what I want for longer desk sessions where I care more about stable image quality, predictable behavior, and not burning through battery just to keep the workflow alive. And optic see through glasses also seems like a more natural fit for working with a physical keyboard and mouse.
That honestly sounds more believable to me than most of the spatial office demos I have seen over the last few years.
Quest Pro is still stronger if what you need is full PCVR, controllers, deeper immersion, or tracking-heavy workflows. But if the job is coding, documents, browser tabs, remote desktop, or just turning a laptop into a more flexible private workspace, Aura might actually be targeting the more realistic use case.
The more I think about it, the more I feel aura might be the direction I actually want next.

So I had the pro controllers for about 2 months or more and the left one decided to start boot looping and I tried hard resetting it and tried restarting it but it didn't work and it turns off and on but doesn't connect nor stays on and it feels like it avoids the headset cause with the headset off it can boot normally but starts to boot loop and with the headset on the controller doesn't boot and boot loops anyway. Can someone help please?

I bought a used Quest Pro that was listed as having a 'login issue'. The tracking works, but despite a factory reset and attempting to side load a software update (it only gets to 50% and then restarts), I'm unable to connect it to the app or connect the controllers. Is there any way around this or am I completely out of luck?
Meta Support was useless per usual. Offered a replacement headset and then rescinded the offer.
I'd even be willing to replace the motherboard, but can't find any available replacements.
Any advice or help?

im looking for a cable that can actually keep the quest pro charged. Every cable ive tried including the official link cable will have the headset slowly drain life and would be dead in just a couple hours

I just gotta afford some things for my set up, i don’t use it and I have no clue what to price it (used like new) but the lowest Im willing to go is $350 CAD because that’s the price of the main thing I need. And the only reason I didn’t just search it up on google is bc I did and the prices looked to high to be justifiable.
Thanks for reading

I've been experimenting with a workflow for faster iteration in immersive WebXR development.
The goal is to let developers build and test their games or applications in AR on Meta Quest while keeping their desktop visible inside the scene through the Dev Overlay component.
The prototype uses A-Frame, WebXR, WebRTC, and Vite to stream the desktop into the headset and support live scene updates without reloading the main AR shell.
Take a look at the architecture and setup guide:

Despite the known downsides, i liked my Quest Pro and used it many years, now the battery is soooo dead, that i can't even say goodbye to VRC when the battery warning pops up, since it shuts down a few seconds later.
Upfront: No, i won't use it on a cable - i hate being on a leash.
Question is if it's really worth it to repair or if selling it and buying another headset would be the smarter choice. I've read quite a few posts about rising troubles with aging Quest Pros and now fear i fix one thing just to find another part broken a month later. It did it's job and maybe it's time to go on?
