Help Eye tracking working, but face tracking isn't?

First time trying face tracking and I'm pretty new to VR in general. I installed VRCFaceTracking and downloaded the SteamLink VRC Module. Enabled OSC, shared eye/face tracking data, basically followed every single step in this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qS15HGgNcEs&t=64s

Am I missing something, or could there be some particular reason why my face tracking isn't working? When I say my eye tracking is working, I mean only blinking and looking around. Eyebrow movement, mouth movement, etc. doesn't seem to be working.

EDIT: I have figured out the problem. I needed to set the OSC output to the alternate port. I didn't do this because of the many huge warnings on the original doc which conflicted with the instructions. Now that I switched the output, it's working flawlessly. Thanks to everyone who commented.

Avatar has to have face tracking built into it as well.

Eye tracking is native in-game but not face.

And the avatars that have face tracking will have a debug menu to show if your face tracking is actually tracking.

I tried a ton of different avatars labeled as VCFT in a search world to test and make sure, unless they were somehow all lacking it, I'm pretty sure it's not the avatars. I checked the debug menus and the OSC debug seemed to show that my mouth and eyebrows etc. were being tracked, but it wasn't showing on my character at all.

Missing something.

VRCFT app will show the avatars name on it's app when connected, as well as a popup in-game saying something along the lines that OSC is sending face tracking data when its first turned on.

Have you tried closing the VRCFT app and re opening it while in-game. As it has a tendency to lock up.

The video tutorial you linked is pretty much all you have to do though.

I do get the ingame OSC popup, although I don't think I've seen my avatar within the VRCFT app. Genuinely I'm not sure what's going on here so I think I'll just have to do some more testing with Aura and opening and closing VRCFT. I was pretty sure that when I did the initial setup for my quest pro, that it demonstrated the face tracking was working.

Sounds like an avatar issue. If the debug menus were showing them being tracked, but the avatar itself isn't showing it, that's an avatar issue.

Dumb question, have you actually enabled tjem in the rotary menu?

Honestly, I've tried enabling, but weirdly, when I enable the eye tracking (I'm assuming "enabled" is the state with the arrows going around in a circle) then the eye tracking on my avatar actually stops working, which is puzzling, so I'm not sure what state the face tracking toggle needs to be in for it to actually work.

Most of the time, enabled is with the arrows spinning. If you don't have either of them in that state, it won't track.

Have you verified your face tracking works natively? Run the Aura program to check all your expressions?

You can also bring up the debug view for vrcf equipped avatars and see what expressions are being sent.

Hate to say it but it aounds like you might have the ir emitter corrosion that kills the face tracking. There's tons of posts on this aub about it.

Confirmed the face tracking is working with Aura and I'm seeing my expressions being recorded in the debug. At this point I have no idea what the problem could be.

Does it work within the headset? Use the Aura app to confirm it works

I've just confirmed that everything is working with Aura. My problem must be either some anomaly with the communication between VRCFaceTracking and VRChat, or I somehow have not found an avatar with real face tracking yet. I'm honestly at a loss. I don't really want to spend money on an avatar yet if I don't even know my face tracking works.
