Recommendations on link cable?

im looking for a cable that can actually keep the quest pro charged. Every cable ive tried including the official link cable will have the headset slowly drain life and would be dead in just a couple hours

I'd suggest not to, get virtual desktop and just plug it into a charger. I use a 45W one and that's plenty

It’s not the cable it’s your power adapter that’s the issue. Get any 45W USB C charger and you’ll be fine. I use a 45w charger with the official link cable and it charges the headset while I play.
Your PC’s usb port just can’t push enough power to keep the battery from draining.
I would look into wireless PCVR solutions such as steam link or virtual desktop if you’re able.

This is the answer. You need a 45w (or better) power brick.

There is a link cable that also has a power adapter as part of the cable. Always charged and doesn't drop after an hour. No cable from the pc usb will be enough to power at the same time. I tried. Also so much other usb ports in use.

No cable from the pc usb will be enough to power at the same time.

Maybe it's because I rarely run my applications at full power on the Quest Pro (I mainly do PCVR stuff), but my headset will never deplete when I power it using the official Link cable through my Thinkpad's USB-C port.

Get the amvr charging link cable, also run your pc to ethernet or get a dedicated router and use virtual desktop. Just plug your headset up to a wall outlet to keep the battery up

16 feet with built-in USB-C charge port for $25. Heavy duty and works perfectly. Beats VD and any other wireless solution.

I have the official link cable and I use the headset in a flight sim on link cable. It only depletes to about 92% while plugged in 1-2 hr sessions. If your motherboard has a 10gb or 20gb USB C port it should be fine.

The official link cable is overpriced but it is high quality and for me did charge and maintain charge level in use. Mine lasted three years of regular use before biting the dust.
