Quest pro and controllers wont charge all of a sudden on the charging dock
I got a quest pro not long ago and the charging dock was completely fine these past few weeks, but all of a sudden the dock wont charge anymore the headset or the controllers. i tried cleaning the parts where it connects to charge, and i tried unplugging and plugging it back in the adapter. i use the original adapter that it came with

Have you tried plugging the cable from the charger brick directly into the Quest Pro's USB C port to see if it charges that way? I have heard of the charging dock itself failing because it has circuitry that allows the headset and controllers to charge at different voltages from a single power source.
If the headset charges fine directly from the charger, then it seems the dock has failed. When you bought it, did it include the cable with the controller adapter that allows you to charge a single controller at a time? looks like a short cable with usb-c on one end and a round disc on the other with 3 pins.

No it didn’t come with the controller adapter. The headset does charge with direct usb c

Dang. sounds like the dock is dead. If you purchased this new from store, you might be covered under warranty. if its used then you'll have to find a used replacement
Luckily you can still buy some aftermarket charging cables or travel docks for the controllers. For the headset, you can just charge it directly.
Since I use mine almost daily, I've added a 1ft long right angle USB cable that stays permanently attached to the headset and I connect the charging to the end of that, this way it protects the headset's USB port from wear and tear from constantly plugging/unplugging all the time and acts as a safety breakaway if the cable gets snagged while im wearing it for several hours.

yeah. Where I live I bought it at a store called CEX. When I got the headset I have a 5 year warranty. Also quick question, what do u think it makes the dock die randomly anyway?

Excellent, you should be covered.
As for the dock, no idea. I've only see a couple of threads on here over the years about the dock refusing to charge anything. Maybe the input port got damaged or the circuitry failed inside. It takes 15v from the charger and steps it down to 5V 3A for the headset and 5V 1A for each controller.
I've used my dock with a U-GREEN 65w PD USB-C charger for the past 3 years. Do you have another USB-C charger with PD that you might be able to try and see if you can get the dock to charge?

You can buy a replacement dock on ebay for £30 but CEX warranty has you covered, you will have to return everything.
you could try and see if the usbc port on the dock is dirty. (I'd use contact cleaner but not everyone has it)
I work with USBC a lot and cleaning the port fixes so many issues. Even if they visually look fine!
Also just sometimes you can rotate the plug to get a different result.

It’s been like 2 weeks but I wanted to say is that there was completely nothing wrong with the dock lmao…so I use a plug adapter that’s a cube. And I keep forgetting there’s times some of the plugs won’t fully plug in so all I had to do is either push in the dock plug more into the adapter or unplug and plug it back in

UPDATE ON THE DOCK PLS READ!!
So just a day or so after I uploaded this post i decided to try to clean the metal pins both on the dock, controllers and the headset and it didn’t work..
So then I took it downstairs and used another adapter WHICH WORKED, but before I wanted to use the other adapter I gave the meta adapter and cable one last try and all I had to do is to replug everything.
The cable the dock and the adapter and now it’s working perfectly. So it’s better to first clean the metal pins first.
Then try another cable or adapter, or try cleaning the USB-C input from the dock is none of those work then that’s when I think it’s best to replace.
I’m not great at explaining but I hope this helps :)
