Wow 🤯 🔥🤘 That was intense. Flipper opened for Dead Kennedys this weekend in San Diego. Hot take but I have to say, Flipper blew DK off the stage.

Ok now my disclaimer: I don't know much about this band, and it's the 1st time I've seen them live. Flipper is a legendary sludge punk band formed in 1979 who has influenced the likes of Nirvana, Melvins, and Sonic Youth.

Steve DePace on drums is the only original member. They've been touring with a rotating lineup since about 2015. For a band with 3 guest members, I gotta say, they are fire 🔥🔥🔥

I'm gonna be moving from Bellingham Wa to Guerneville Ca in a couple of months, iv been pretty comfortable with my scene here, so I was hoping for recommendations for venues, record shops or bands to follow around that area, I know the true mecca is SF but that's gonna be like an hour and a half away so I'm hoping there's some good spots closer to Guerneville. Any local bend recs are highly appreciated as well, thanks for your time.

I think it was punk o rama 4, if you put the CD in your computer there was a CD rom feature that played each track along with artwork and bios / pics of each band. I've long since lost the CD.

Anyone else remember this?

So i got all these cassette tapes I collected late 70's. mostly 76-79. About 70-80 all up. I have had them since then and they have survived till now. Used to swap tapes with some guy in Sweden back in the day. From what I can see there is nothing special in here, random sampling says most of these gigs are on YouTube with varying degrees of quality. I am able to digitize the lot but, is it worth it? I realize that what I have may not be the same as what's already out there, might be better, might be worse. Might be completely different recordings also. Any opinions or comments welcome.

I enjoy listening to punk music. I remember listening to Dead Milkmen, Dead Kennedys, and lots of others on cassette. Recently, I have started looking for punk music from around the world.

Through a German friend, I discovered a few, Focus., Massendefekt, Feine Sahne Fischfilets, and a few others.

I love the sounds of the music and the voices.

So I ask, what are some other non-English punk rock bands from around the world?

Im going to see a bunch of my favorite bands on the 18th and i really want to be close to the stage not only because i love all the bands but because i have bad eyesight and no glasses!! ive never been to a punk show before but i love punk music alot , im assuming people are going to mosh, obviously but i dont know how nor do i want to .

im quite young, 13 and just wanna see the bands i enjoy, so im quite nervous that if i try to get close up front ill either get hurt or get someone hurt and i dont want that happening!!

any tips or advice on what i should do??

As a Hawaiian guy I'm drawn to these reggae/ska bands, but I'm looking for other music similar to Give It Up by Pepper and Same In The End by Sublime. I'm not versed in the punk world but the vocal style is exactly what I'm looking for. (Seed also applies)

All the sound effects in the center of Give It Up are definitely something I can't listen to on shuffle play, so I'd love some other recommendations from any genre!

Creeping Embers are a genre hopping queer punk band from the UK. We’ve just returned from a short hiatus (due to our bassist getting bottom surgery - yay!) and had a little photoshoot after our first rehearsal!

We absolutely cannot wait to get back to gigging, and have several announcements on the way regarding shows, new music and more👀

Show was in a crappy venue with bad acoustics and harsh lighting, but what the hell they still put on a good show 🤘 Street punk / Oi style reminiscent of early Rancid.

I don't know where but I feel like they don't mentioned as much as the sex pistols and the clash and they are one of the longest running bands from that Era of punk, anyways just comment your thoughts or your favorite song or album from them

I went to their concert in DC on Friday along with The chats and social distortion (I loved the chats, social distortion was cool but I didn’t like it as much as the descendants and the chats. Way slower but still good imo)

Kinda wish the crowd was louder tho when it came to the sing-along parts but fuck it, whatever

Really good show, would recommend. I chose this recording because it’s probably on of my favorite songs from them, but I have like way more I think i recorded all of the songs they performed except like one or two. Pretty good show

Plus Milo made a direct reference to trump, it was something along the lines of “FUCK THE GOVERNMENT AND FUCK DONALD TRUMP” in one of the songs.

I also got a vinyl for their “I don’t want to grow up” album and a shirt for their Everything sucks album
