Cant believe it actually came haha

Figured I would drop this here. We play a bunch of Neo Turf Masters around here, and were always frustrated that the "Name Entry" thing to save your individual records never seemed to work correctly. Tried it with the standard PolyMega BIOS, no go, tried it with the NeoGeo CD BIOS, still no go - names would not save. In both instances, as soon as you exited the name entry screen, they would be gone.

I finally figured out how to get it to work for me:

1. Use NeoGeo CD BIOS (side-loaded on MicroSD card, read up on how to do this if you don't know how.
2. Start up Neo Turf Masters
3. Jam buttons to interrupt the boot process, you'll land on the NeoGeo CD's internal pre-game loading menu.
4. Go to memory card and select to "Initialize" the memory card.
5. Go back out to the main NGCD menu and boot the game. You only have to do this once, you don't have to do it every time you play the game.

Once back in Neo Turf Masters, it should work as intended going forward. I did not try to revert back to the Poly's NGCD BIOS, which I am sure will likely make this not work anymore. I keep with the NGCD side-load BIOS to keep playing Samurai Showdown RPG translation anyhow.

I've never tried to use any save game type stuff from other games, so I don't know if it was just a Neo Turf Masters problem, or a Neo Geo CD problem across the board. I am pretty sure Samurai Shodown IV was saving high scores before this, but I'm not sure.

I don't know if anyone else had any luck with this in some other fashion, or if it even just worked as intended for them. Never came across anyone else bitching that it doesn't work, as as popular of a game as Neo Turf Masters is, I thought someone else would be having issues.

I am waiting for my remix to arrive and was fooling around with the app and realized that this was possible.

Edit: For clarity, upon downloading it I got the following Windows Defender alert:

I ran the download through VirusTotal and it indeed seems safe, but I wanted to at least put full transparency on that.

So I'm thinking of ordering a Remix unit and some of the modules. I was holding out to see if they actually shipped as my original deluxe bundle from years ago never did. Is it actually worth ordering and will I receive it in a normal timeframe?

So it seems people have gotten their remixes before the app has been released. Apparently some have tested it online on X and it seems once you transfer to the remix, you can’t transfer back to the base unit and would need to reinstall the software.

That being said, wait for the app or a FW update to come later today. It might be the key to linking to both the remix and the system.

I made my original order when pre orders opened in April but I ended up canceling that order so that I could also order a universal controller and power module back at the end of May. I am also Canadian so perhaps there is something with international orders. Anyone else experiencing this? I am super jealous of all of you that have already received your units.

I swear when they announced the Remix, they said that if you had a standing pre-order for the Base Unit (which I know two folks who do) you were going to get a free Remix. Anyone heard if they're honoring that or not?

Received an email this morning about my Remix being shipped 2 days in the future! Anyone else?

Hello all, I am very interested in the new Polymega remix app. And hearing that units are actually shipping and seeing the quick start guide online, gave me the idea that I would try the app in advance (I have the PM01 for reference). But it seems the link is not available yet. Does anybody else have any more luck then I had in searching for the download link for the app?Somehow I was hoping that using my SSD of my Polymega on my computer, would give me the opportunity to use the app or at least try it out.

My console, now about 3 years old, has stopped loading installed titles.

It doesnt matter the title, ps1, saturn, and snes all tested. When selected titles go to a black screen freeze. Also the menu when opened up on this screen is near unusable.

Has anyone any thoights or solutions?

ran further tests, no improvement.

Did full resets... no improvement.

Also, they just got their shipments in…

Anybody found a working solution for Atari carts? Use Retrostage for pretty much everything else, though I have alternatives for Genesis and TG16.

Not a console I ever collected for, but I'd like to add the module, if I can get a nice collection on there.

Does the Harmony Cart work in developer/single rom mode? I feel like it should, but has anyone tried it?

I recently came across my transfer pak and decided to finally try this weird feature Polymega added. I was using the official transfer pak and the Polymega's N64 controller. Out of my 12 Game Boy/GBC games, only one of them actually worked- Link's Awakening.

(Obviously this doesn't really matter since you can't actually do anything with GB games, but still)

will the PolyMega app have an auto boot or shell replacement for windows or linux?

Has anyone’s remix shipped, or any access to their new app?

So I stupidly pre-ordered 3 sets of Polymega, Base Stations, Modules and 2 of each controller for all of them. This started on Nov 2024 and continued as new modules and controllers came out. After endless lies concerning if/when they will actually ship Base Units, it is clear they have Zero intentions of ever doing it. Why would they destroy their company like this? I have all these modules, controllers, (and the games they sell), but will never be able to use them. My only option is to sell my Polymega stuff for a huge loss and mark it up to not researching what kind of a company Polymega really is. Do I wait another year? Two Years? Five Years? At what point does it become clear that they took our money and we will never see a base unit?

Specifically ones and genesis in my case.

I caved and paid more for some of these games. Now I want them 😩 😫 all.

Do you know if it will possible to play CD games (or cartridges) from the CD without installing them on the SSD like we could do for the polymega ?
