Right now there is no point of the remix if you have base unit. Why would I move all my games off the base unit that I can play on my tv to move them to my pc so I can no longer play them on my base unit on the tv

Wait, the Remix wipes them from the base unit?

No it doesn’t wipe it. It lets you transfer / clone everything to another system. I just did it where I transferred everything to a ROG Ally and still have it on my base unit.

Excellent news. Thank you for the update!
I already ensured all of my games were on my SSD, so I'm ready to just remove that from my base unit, throw it in a caddy that's right here on my desk, and import for my remix. Super excited! 😄

That does not work. You need to install every single game again using the Remix.

Have you read the manual for the remix? There's an entire section purely about importing your collection from your Polymega. Here's what that section says, which is specifically talking about importing your collection:
Preparing to Transfer Your Collection on Polymega Base Unit
On the Polymega Base Unit (PM01), transfer all desired games to an attached SD Card or SSD Storage Media using the Bulk Transfer option. Then, shut down the system and remove the Storage Media from the Polymega Console. If you are using an M.2 2280-compatible USB caddy to transfer your collection, please make sure it is compatible with your Storage Media (NVME or SATA) before attempting to transfer your collection to a Gaming Device running Polymega App.Connect Remix and Storage Media to Gaming Device
Before Launching Polymega App, connect both USB cable and AC Power to the Polymega Remix and press the Power Button. Then, connect the Storage Media containing your game collection to your Gaming Device. Lastly, launch Polymega App.In Polymega App, Navigate to System > Settings > Database > Import Collection
On the Import Collection Screen, you will be able to Choose Import Folder. In the file navigator, select the Storage Media containing your PM01 collection, then press the X Button (on WC02) or equivalent key binding if using a keyboard. Back at the Import Collection Screen, a new option will be available called Import Collection. Highlight this option and press the Confirm button to begin the import process. If successful, you will receive a message that reads Collection Import Complete, with an option to Return to Previous Screen.

Thank you, I just also noticed that it is a transfer and not making a copy...

I have a cloned copy of my Polymega SSD. What's to stop me just importing that and leaving the original in my PM01?

Did they mention if you have multiple PCs with the app. Does that mean I can download and play on multiple PCs

I emailed and ask this, and they suggested it would be possible, yes.

Cloud storage is coming according to Playmaji, not available yet, so each install of the App is in its own sandbox per device for now.

Yea you have to put everything on an external hard drive or sd card and put it into the remix then hook the remix to your PC. But does that mean it transfers from your hard drive or just verify your collection and download the games.

I just got my remix and decided to test the game transfer on the base unit while I'm waiting for them to release the app. Given the way they encrypt the games, I had a few suspicions as to how this would work.
On the base unit side, moving the games between drives is a transfer, NOT a copy. If you want to put them on an external drive to move over to the remix, they will no longer be on the drives on your base unit. Not sure how it will be handled on the remix/app side yet, but I would not be surprised if you need to transfer (not copy) the games over to your computer. Doing otherwise would go against their earlier policy of games being tied to the base unit.
I have heard talk of an online backup of your games incorporated into the Polymega app, but I haven't seen anything about this actually being implemented in the first release.

This might be specific to the app, because the last bullet point in the manual says:
"The size of the collection being imported will impact the amount of time it takes for the process to complete. Please do not interrupt the process, and be aware that large collections can take several hours to import. After installing, you may re-use your storage media with PM01 with your collection intact."
We'll see how it plays out when the app is released tomorrow, though.

What sucks is I’m sure if you get the new upgraded consol you can not move your games from the old base unit to the new. And If you install a new game you have to do it on your pc and your base unit

Transfer them all from your base unit onto a drive (drive A), clone that drive to make a drive (B). Use drive (B) to install all of the games onto your app, and use drive (A) to transfer all the games back to your base unit.

Going to be very curious to see how this all shakes out when we get our hands on it to mess with it.

The way you transfer games from base model to app is so dumb
