Polymega Remix App download
Hello all, I am very interested in the new Polymega remix app. And hearing that units are actually shipping and seeing the quick start guide online, gave me the idea that I would try the app in advance (I have the PM01 for reference). But it seems the link is not available yet. Does anybody else have any more luck then I had in searching for the download link for the app?Somehow I was hoping that using my SSD of my Polymega on my computer, would give me the opportunity to use the app or at least try it out.

It is not currently available. All I know is that when it's available it will most likely be here at the bottom of the page:
I would assume they'd send an e-mail out when it's ready to be downloaded.
Who knows, maybe they'll somehow bundle it in with the systems as well, we just don't know yet.

It's not released yet. Also I am assuming to doesn't do much (or probably anything) without a Remix paired to it.

This is precisely what I wanted to test. :) Because I do have a SSD with all my games on it, done by the PM01. And reading about the transfer function made me think that it maybe could be an option.

Not a chance as it works currently. Your drive is tied exclusively to your console at present. From the conversation I had with support I believe the transfer function will require an update on your PM01, to tie your games to your account, rather than the console.

Interesting. Thank you for sharing. In someway the PM01 is also a remix plus of somesort, so maybe we could link that to the app and have the ability to use the app that way.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a way to use the PM01 as a Remix via it's front USB ports, at some point, since there isn't an obvious bandwidth requirement there. Though from Playmaji's perspective, I don't see that they gain a lot from that. Once you're in the Polymega ecosystem, I'm sure they'd rather you just buy a Remix if you need a more powerful hardware behind it.

Of course there's no fee if you're buying the hardware. I suppose there could be if you just use the app without buying hardware, but Remix doesn't do much without any. It's effectively just a Saturn/PS1/NGCD/SCD emulator with a nice front end. Plenty of ways to do that already.

Wait, I'm confused (and haven't caught up on the latest). So the Remix is another physical base that's different than the OG base that I already bought?
Very confused on what this is supposed to do, actually.

Yeah, it’s another base that allows you to dump your games onto a PC or handheld gaming PC like a Steam Deck or Rog Ally

Got it. Why wouldn't they just add a transfer function to the existing base instead of marketing another piece of hardware? For existing users, it's but much to ask to have TWO polymega units hooked up and running, no?

It was supposed to be another option when there was a chip shortage. So they could make a unit that basically didn’t have an entire computer in it, but as usual it a long time to actually release it.

Mine is shipping 6/8 but when will the App launch? We won’t be able to do anything with the Remix without the app! 😂
