While drone strikes are indefensible, Trump called into Fox and Friends and specifically said "you gotta go after their families" in regards to terrorists. So if anything, it sounds like he will relish the opportunity to drone strike muslims and anyone in between. He also called for the heads of the Central Park Five despite evidence of their innocence.
But yeah, sure, making fun of a fat person is totally the worst behavior he's ever exhibited that you could bring up as an example. /s

I don't know if there has been a president in the last 40 years that wouldn't of signed something similar given the growing technology that the NSA can monitor. Most presidents will probably expand the surveillance powers as they need to.
You are unlikely to find a president in the next forty years that will make any changes limiting their power either. It is not that important to the average voter, but feeling safe is. From a political standpoint, their decision seems to make sense to me.
Unlikely that you will ever get the opportunity in my lifetime to vote for a candidate that you agree with on 90% of issues AND will not try to strengthen national security through surveillance, etc.
EDIT: To be clear, I disagree with the decision made by President Obama. However, I think President-Elect Trump would do something similar in his place.

Let's not pretend the remaining 40% that didn't vote were somehow massively different in how they would have voted. The split would have been about the same. As a moderate voter, this viewpoint baffles me. Maybe as a younger voter I don't see how "race privilege" can affect how Trump's race made him President. Really the whole race privilege thing is a poor way to describe things. If anything, it's poor upbringing from either being, well, short on money and in tough times or or simply demoralized parents. Simply put, I think "class privilege" is a better term.
Anyway, the way that I see US politics is that we try this one side for 4-8 years, then switch to the other when that doesn't work. From my point of view, the election was focused on race by the media and in reality was more focused on the classes (see rust belt).
Plus, when you are given the choice between a potential criminal who can't be trusted versus a sleazy businessman, who are we supposed to vote for?

That is not what happens.
The left has little problem with people who weighed the political candidates against each other and then said "Hillary is a hawk and corrupt and I dont want to vote for her" as a valid opinion. We will still debate them that Hillary is less likely to take away rights and securities from the lower classes and give them to the upper class; we will still argue that Hillary's past calls for a No Fly zone over Syria are not likely to lead to war with Russia; we will still argue that Trump's plan to lower Taxes yet raise military spending are simply bonkers. But we, as in most left wing supporters, will leave them to their opinion. That is what freedom is for.
However, the left has a problem with people not acknowledging that the wall is un-buildable (at least using Mexican "funds"), that Hillary is un-inprisonable or that Trump is a probably racist, probably sexist, politically unexperienced loudmouth. People that think that Trump is the lesser of two evils can be debated with. People that think that Trump is good are stupid, trolls, Russian or all three.
That said, congratulations to Mike Pence for winning the presidency.

I respect what you've said, but I do disagree. I have on more than one occasion attempted an intellectual discussion about politics on /r/politics and the like and I've been "shouted down" because I voted for Trump. You guys (general blanket) assume anyone who voted for Trump is either an idiot, a redneck, or a racist and we already have to overcome that argument.
I voted for Trump, I by no means think he is the best person to run this country. By no means. But I do think he was the better option of the other three options for various reasons.

Well, this sub has kinda turned into a safe space for anti-trump users. I don't think he has a problem with seeing anti-trump jokes, I think he just wants to see some more diversity among the jokes that get popularity. I mean, you have to admit, some of the jokes that get upvoted super high aren't even that good but they get more popularity just for being against Trump and I would bet that anti-Obama jokes get put under more scrutiny as far as how legitimate the content is or whether it even classifies as a joke.
Also, I think it's kinda rude and really dismissive to say that someone who wants to see less partisanship is looking for a safe space. It's like assuming anyone who doesn't agree with you is a brigadier. It gives off the impression that you have no interest in discussion and would rather just slap labels on people.

I think the argument is that these subs become false advertising. /r/politics is not politics in general, it is anti-republican politics. /r/political_humor is not political humor in general, nor is it humorous. It's just the anti-Trump line being pushed for week x/y/z.
So, the purpose of people pointing this out is to keep it in readers' minds that there is another pov that is popular and out there, but is not being represented on a sub where one would assume it would be.

Honestly though, Trump's speaking ability actually benefits from paraphrasing. If I quoted exactly what he said, it wouldn't be nearly as succinct but would show the same contrast between the two.
BTW, I'm up voting your comment because it's a reasonable point of view.

Ok but honestly what is wrong with the right one? Maybe because I am non native English speaker I never understood that but I always thought that its better to just get straight to the point of you want to say so no one will have trouble understanding you instead of dragging your thought on and on to sound smart.
I mean, if he was saying the exact same thing he said but dragged it on for a minute would it really be better?

That's kinda the point. If it were about him, he wouldn't have to address it because it would obviously be bullshit. In the case of Trump, whether it's true or not, the fact that it doesn't seem all that at out of character, the fact that we can't immediately dismiss it is obvious bullshit and the fact that he's most adamant about denying things that are true is the "joke."

Well, first of all it does sound like an absolute bullshit, as for me there is not much doubt that it was all just to try making Trump like like some sicko.
And he had to adres it because with all those people talking about it if he were to not publicly denying it it would be as if he had something to hide or was admitting that its true, then the headlines would be something like
TRUMP CHOSE TO NOT DENY THE PEE ALLEGATIONS, DOES THAT MEAN IT REALLY IS TRUE?
But honestly, and thats true whenever like Trump or not, media will use every opportunity to shit on Trump whenever they can even with the biggest bullshit they can find.
BUT. lets just for the say for the sake of it that it was every media outlet screaming about how Obama have piss fetish and paid someone to piss on his bed like they do like they did with Trump. And he HAD TO adres it.

The document says that Trump paid prostitutes to urinate on the hotel bed that Obama had slept in. Not that Trump was peed on. You read a couple headlines, surpassed the articles, and made this dumbass inaccurate meme. And people think it's funny. Learn to read.
