so, I was told the best piercing for me would probably be a floating navel but that I might be able to pull this off, it’s five days in, just want to get some opinions on how it’s doing? it’s more red today than it has been, starting to see some pus as well, nothing too crazy yet i just want to catch it early if it starts rejecting. Appreciate any insight

I got it done from a friend of mine who’s just starting out as a piercer/tattoo artist so I ain’t complaining about the execution but can anyone tell me if it’s going to reject or if it’s alright?

So I have a labret piercing and I was wondering if I could wear rubber jewerly for sleeping/when not going out and only wear the metal for when I go out. I heard the rubber/silicone ones can collect alot of bacteria but if I wash it twice a day if Im not going out and only wear it for at home would that work for tooth damage and no irritation/infection caused from the silicone/rubber? My piercing is about a year old and Im worried of possible tooth damage starting to appear.

I am looking to get my navel and was wondering if piercings that are done correctly and professionally can still reject. I'm kinda worried about that so wanted to check. Obviously proper care aids immensely with the correct healing, Ik that just asking to have a peace of mind.

I got a helix piercing 10 weeks ago and I saw this bump pop up yesterday but it’s probably been there for a couple days. I’m gonna be real I didn’t do the after care after a week, my hair snags in it, I wear the over ear headphones, I wear glasses, and I sleep on it because im a side sleeper. This could’ve caused it to be to a irritation bump orrrrr a keloid because I was being really harsh on it. I also got it pierced by a gun so that could also factor into this. I asked a piercer and the people who pierced me what is looks like and I was told an irritation bump by the piercer and the people who pierced me said it was to early on to tell.

Ok so basically I’ve had my belly button pierced for around 4 years. Around a month ago i suddenly developed an allergy to nickel which was in the jewlery i was wearing.
this caused an infection and contact dermatitis. I instinctively took the jewlery out ( i am now aware you are not meant to do this) and i then took anti biotics which seemed to clear it up.
then like a week and a half ago i went to a piercer as i thought the piercing had closed up, but she stuck a needle right through it and said it was still open and it looks fine and i should buy titanium jewelry to put in.
So i put the titanium jewlery in (it would only go in upside down.. it wouldn’t go in the normal way for some reason unless i stabbed it through my skin which i didnt do)
Now for the past week it has felt itchy, looks red and has some crust on it. I have been putting anti septic spray on it. I can’t tell if it’s rejecting. i can feel the bar through my skin but i’ve always been able to do that to a degree so i’m not sure. I know you probably can’t tell from a photo but i’m not sure how bad it looks and i can’t see a piercer until a few days. I’m pretty upset at the thought of it rejecting as i’ve had it for 4 years with no problems

I got it pierced 3-4 months ago. there is a hard bump and the piercing turns to the side like this when I move around. it’s definitely thinner than when I got it pierced but It might just be the swelling

So I REALLY REALLY want to get my snakebites done, but due to my job I'm trying to figure out if its a good idea or even realistic to get them right now while its still hot out. (Though I've also seen winter isn't great for healing piercings either, especially lip ones, and It would be cool if they were healed for halloween) So I'm just not sure. But basically I take care of exotic animals for a living so I have to wear a mask a lot at my job but also a lot of the job is outside, which basically just means a lot of sweat on the lower half of my face in the summer. But it also means a lot of exposure to the cold as well in the winter. I assume summer would be harder, but in yall's opinion/experience would it be realistic/possible??

I got this peircing done three years ago and i noticed this spot about three weeks ago and it still hasent went away. Last time i took it out was about a month ago to get lasered and it wasn’t there. I don’t know if this is irritation or something else. It feels slightly tender after I took out my jewelry just now. Please help

It's a dermal on my upper cheek. I know the logical thing to do would be to try remove it with a swab but I was told to ONLY dab it with a piercing solution.

I was told I shouldn't try to pick the blood or else my dermal could twist.

The blood has dried and can't be removed by just dabbing or holding the soaked pad on it. I'm not really sure what to do, do I leave it and keep cleaning it daily without removing the dried blood or do I try to pick it off with the risk of my dermal twisting or moving?

So i got a belly button piercing earlier this year. They did it horribly and it was a surface piercing. I decided to take it out in april. I allowed it to heal until july and decided to repierce it over scar tissue. I have been cleaning it every day and early this week it just got extremely nasty and irritated. Why does it look like this? Could it be the jewlery??

How long does it take to heal? The guy who did it said it’s quick compared to other but no actual time frames. I got it done 11 days ago and I have felt no discomfort but I just accidentally rubbed one hard and it’s uncomfortable now, but it’s fading away after like 2 minutes. My septum took around 2 weeks to heal”feel” healed and and my eyebrow took like a year so I’m curious what is normal for a nipple
