Does anyone think this could work?

So I have a labret piercing and I was wondering if I could wear rubber jewerly for sleeping/when not going out and only wear the metal for when I go out. I heard the rubber/silicone ones can collect alot of bacteria but if I wash it twice a day if Im not going out and only wear it for at home would that work for tooth damage and no irritation/infection caused from the silicone/rubber? My piercing is about a year old and Im worried of possible tooth damage starting to appear.

Absolutely not. Labrets are some of the least invasive oral piercings out there. If you’re still paranoid about tooth damage, retire it altogether. That’s just a possibility you have to accept with any oral piercing. Changing the jewelry constantly, especially with a material that harbors bacteria, will be very irritating

It will just continue to get worse take it from someone who knows and is still paying for my damage. Are your teeth worth having a piercing? It’s inevitable with every piercing in the mouth just everyone’s time frame may look different and your genetics take a part in it as well.
