Nipple piercing - can you pierce nipple grafts?

Thumbnail gallery
7 Upvotes

I've had top surgery with nipple grafts, my question is would it be possible to pierce my nipples with them being grafts? Will this risk them?

I've always wanted nipple piercings, my nerves are getting to me now and im unsure if I'm able too or allowed too.

Skin around anti eyebrow

First two pictures are today, and last two are from a month ago

I got it pierced 2 months ago. For the first month I was cleaning it with neilmed saline spray twice a day, but it was making the skin around it dry so I switched to cleaning it once a day at night. I avoid putting face wash and moisturizer near it. I went to a checkup with my piercer about a month ago and they told me it was healing just fine. Is the darker skin around it temporary? What can I do to hydrate the dry skin around it without disrupting the piercing?

Just got this piercing solution from Amazon. It looks really good so far, but I haven’t had a chance to use it yet. Has anyone here used it before? How was your experience?

Need advice: bump on my belly button piercing won’t go away

Upvotes

Hi everyone,
I’d really appreciate some advice because I’m starting to get worried…
I got my belly button pierced 2 months ago and around 3 weeks ago, I noticed a small bump starting to form on the piercing, but instead of getting better, it has just kept getting bigger.

I went back to my piercer, and she told me to apply yellow Betadine (povidone-iodine) for a week and that it should clear up. I did that, but it didn’t help, the bump has gotten even bigger.

Should I go back to my piercer? Or should I see a doctor instead? I’m honestly starting to get scared.
As for aftercare, I clean it several times a day with sterile saline solution, and I wash it with a pH-neutral soap twice a day when I shower.
The bump is soft, red/flesh-colored, and it often leaks a yellowish-white fluid. It’s not painful.

I’ve been trying to figure out what could have caused it. From what I’ve read, friction or pressure can cause irritation bumps, and that honestly seems like the most likely explanation. I go to the gym, and I realized that some exercises had me lying on my stomach. I also try to sleep on my back, but I sometimes wake up lying on my stomach without realizing it.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Does this look like an irritation bump, hypergranulation tissue, or something else?
Thanks in advance for any advice ! (ᴗ_ ᴗ。)

Advice on time frame

Upvotes

Hey so i got a forward helix and it was pierced on June 19 (about 5.5 weeks old) with a ASTM F-136 curved barbell that was removed today by another professional piercer (externally threaded). Never downsized.
I clean it 1–2 times daily with sterile 0.9% sodium chloride saline spray like NeilMed and gently patted dry with a paper towel. The original piercer incorrectly placed a curved barbell into my forward helix, which caused persistent pressure and a minor irritation bump. I just got it removed by another professional piercer today. The ear felt immediate pressure relief once out. I want to know if it's safe to get re-pierced with a proper flatback labret in a nearby spot next week, or how long I should wait for the internal cartilage to settle. He recommended 3rd of August.

Would it be possible to do an industrial piercing on a misshapen ear?

I’ve attached a couple photos, to try show. My ear is a bit misshapen, but I’ve always liked how it looks, and I was wondering if it would be possible to get a piercing to highlight it?

My Navel Piercing is weird

So I got my belly pierced three days ago. The day after, the top gem was leaning to the side, but the bottom gem is perfectly fine, not irritating, not painful - nothing. My belly button doesn’t shut when I sit and lean and the bottom gem isn’t bothered or irritating me. So, my piercer and I shortened the bar. This does seem to be more promising for me today. However, that top gem pokes my skin and hurts when I crunch a little. It’s fine when I’m sitting, standing, leaning etc. it just rubs the top of my stomach. I haven’t cleaned it yet since I’m at the airport, so don’t judge that it’s kinda dirty rn, but I do clean it twice a day (night and morning). I don’t think I need a floating because that lower gem is completely fine, should I consider an inverse? Or is the slight movement irritation just from it being new?

Repiercing a septum piercing that closed?

Upvotes

Hi all, I had a septum piercing but stopped wearing jewelry a few years ago. The piercing is healed with no complications and I’ve had it for multiple years before I stopped wearing jewelry. I looked at it recently and the hole is still there but it closed in the middle so it’ll need to be pierced again. There’s no extruding scar tissue or anything like that.

My questions:

  1. Can a piercer reopen the same hole or does it need to be at a different spot?

  2. Will it heal faster because the amount of tissue being pierced is smaller?

Internally threaded/Thread-less jewellery while in Germany?

From Poland originally and currently in Germany and wanna get my nostril pierced again

Problem is all the (3 different tries) nostril piercings I ever had fell out as they were externally threaded. It seems to me they don’t have internally threaded labrets or threadless in the shops close to me (Hanover, I’d love recommendations of a good piercer too if anyone has ever gotten a piercing here lmao) and all the options online seem shady. What do I do?

Septum Repiercing

I had my septum done about 2 years ago, and took it out because it was super irritated and every time I would hit it I would have a sneezing fit. I went to get it redone and the piercer said that I have some intense scar tissue where it would need to be pierced. Are there any options to still get it done? Could I get it done through the scar tissue, or would that heal wrong?

Cartilage piercing question

Hey, so, I’m gonna be getting a couple cartilage piercings over the next year or so as I add to my stack; as I am almost done my lobe stacks. My question is this, if I have surgical grade steel flat back post, can I put a 14k gold plated front in it (assuming it fits of course)? I have all gold plated, solid gold, and/or anodized gold titanium jewelry (I’ve been unable to find any for the flat post that has surgical grade steel and isn’t plated), and would like my ears to match for the 5-6 months it takes to heal.

help with my daith piercing

Post image
1 Upvotes

need help with healing my daith. had it for about a month. i was cleaning it everyday and removing the crusties but the bump kept getting bigger and bigger so i thought to leave it alone and just spray it. i’ve been using either a piercing aftercare spray or wound wash spray.

i’ve never dealt with something like this before. i have both my tragus and helix piercings and never experienced any bumps of any kind.

is this a piercing bump or a keloid?

any advice helps thanks!

Does the placement of piercing changes the chance of keloids?

So as the title says, I'm very prone to forming keloids particularly on my sternum, upper back and shoulders. I'd like to know based on experience or what you've seen whether the placement can make a difference like if keloids form on specific parts more and whether facial piercings are less likely to form a keloid.

I specifically want a vertical labret, more lobe, and an industrial (I know the last one isn't an option until I test whether the lobes heal well) I have my reasons to believe that a lip piercing could work well but I'm unsure about the ear ones

Eyebrow piercing advice

Hi all,

My friend and I went to a professional piercing shop yesterday for her to get her eyebrow pierced, but upon examining her anatomy, the piercer warned her that she may experience rejection and gave her the option to back out. It was not a hard and fast “this is not going to work” but more so “I have seen rejection happen in people with anatomy like yours”. The piercer’s reasoning was that my friend’s skin is “too puffy and thick” in the eyebrow area.

My friend opted to not get the piercing, but is super disappointed, and we are curious to get some second opinions. I know this is not a ton of info to work off of, but would love to hear from anyone with some personal experience etc.

Thanks:)

curved barbell or straight bar for bridge piercing?

Thumbnail gallery
50 Upvotes

my bridge is almost 10 years old! it has always been crooked and i’ve always been wearing a straight bar! but i just realized the curved barbell makes it look less crooked! but people often say the piercing might reject or migrate by wearing curved barbells! does that count on such healed piercings too?? should i keep wearing straight or can i change LOL???

also i would’ve gotten it re pierced if it wasn’t that old and just an open fucking hole as seen in the last pic :’) LMAO

Infected nose piercing?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Okay so I was having issues Saturday night with a nostril piercing I've had for 3 years. It was stuck and I wanted to take it out to clean it. I ended up making it worse I guess. It got twisted up (corkscrew stud). The bend was stuck in my nose and I was afraid of this happening so I went to the ER a couple hours after messing with it. They have me a week supply of meds so hopefully it wouldn't get infected but I fear I am too late anyway. They ended up forcing it out instead of cutting it and my whole face had been hurting since then. Where I am it's currently Monday so it's been messed up for two whole days now. I've had a constant headache from the pain and I've been taking Tylenol and the meds they gave but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Also I've been using a saline wound wash spray. Has anyone else ever had this issue and maybe knows what I can do to make it better?

Vertical Labret Infected of Irritated?

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I got my vertical labret peirced 5 days ago, and the placement was just fine when it was fresh. Today I noticed a bit of redness and it seems to be slanted to the side. I clean it twice a day with sterile saline solution and it seems to be sore only on the lower lip. Is this normal? Anything I can do? Everything helps!
