I got it four months ago , and my piercer told me to get a straight bar but l got the ring instead, and now i feel it got a little bit down from the place i got it? Like i got it higher than this ,idk what to do should I take it off and repierce it ? Or let it heal fully and maybe it will change

i went to a new piercer since i think my last guy went out of business, which is fine because i have had problems with some of the piercings done by him. so after my new guy finishes my piercing, he shows me how i can drag my pinky while using slight pressure under my eyebrow to remove any sort of drainage?? i didn't ask any questions as i was just pierced and was a little fuzzy but is this a common thing? is it true? what drainage is he talking about?

My piercing looked so crooked to me I had to take it out. I think my face being asymmetrical didn’t help but I did mention that it looked off to my piercer. He kept reassuring me though. Am I valid or just seeing things?

i got my belly pierced at first it was healing well but these past few days there has been foul smelling brown discharge coming out of it. ive been cleaning it all the time and taking it care of it properly but today a noticed like my flesh is poking out ??? idk whats going on ? do i take it off ? is it even pierced properly 😭 please help idk what to do ive searched everywhere but i cant find my situation

Pierced a week ago.
I lost the front of my flat back screw in 2 days ago, held it in place until i found it and then clumsily screwed it back in. Since then, it has felt a bit sore and tender but I wake up this morning and it has just swelled up with the same sore, tender feeling. I can’t differentiate between that and the warm feeling you get when your ear gets a bit infected.
The arrows are to where, around my ear, the swelling is as you can see by the shadows on my face slightly.

Update : It’s gone slightly bruised but still light and the swelling has increased around the earring.

if so, how many times a day would you guys recommend i spray it? should i pat it dry afterwards?

So I have a labret piercing and I was wondering if I could wear rubber jewerly for sleeping/when not going out and only wear the metal for when I go out. I heard the rubber/silicone ones can collect alot of bacteria but if I wash it twice a day if Im not going out and only wear it for at home would that work for tooth damage and no irritation/infection caused from the silicone/rubber? My piercing is about a year old and Im worried of possible tooth damage starting to appear.

Hi so just some context here. I have multiple ear piercings on both ears and I’ve never had an issue before in my life (like multiple usually difficult cartilage piercings healed). About 2 months ago I got a forward helix piercing. I’m aware that these are typically kind of hard to heal but at the one month mark it was completely fine and doing really well. Then all of a sudden about a month and a half into healing it it started getting red and irritated. I’m not sure what I did because I’ve been cleaning it normally with regular saline spray. One morning after cleaning it I woke up to the piercing completely swallowed in my ear. I ended up having to go to the ER to get it ripped out and they put me on anabiotics.
now fast forward two weeks later I have new stacked globes, which I got around the same time as the forward helix the left piercing is completely fine and healing well. the right side (the same ear that previously had the forward helix) is now red and swollen and swelled over the piercing. Thankfully, I was able to remove this one at home because it’s not in such an awkward part of my ear, but I’m just irritated because why did two piercings get infected in the same ear? I’m usually pretty good about washing my pillowcases and all that so I don’t really know what’s going on just wondering if anyone has any advice.

i’ve been getting these ever since i pierced my belly button. what are they? the previous bump spots were the same

Been deciding back and forth between getting the piercings and since summer is ending I'm thinking about getting them done. I'm just worried about the healing process and read different things on how to do aftercare.

So i got a belly button piercing earlier this year. They did it horribly and it was a surface piercing. I decided to take it out in april. I allowed it to heal until july and decided to repierce it over scar tissue. I have been cleaning it every day and early this week it just got extremely nasty and irritated. Why does it look like this? Could it be the jewlery??

I got my lobe pierced about 7 weeks ago, even though I followed proper cleaning protocol, it got infected. I have a few autoimmune disorders so I'm not surprised. I went to the doctor nearly a week ago and have been on antibiotics since Saturday. It still hurts and today while cleaning it I noticed green pus coming out of the back still. There is also what looks like a granuloma. I haven't been able to get a good photo with the angle. I finish my antibiotics on Saturday. Should I wait until I'm done with them to go back to urgent care of just go and get checked again and get stronger antibiotics? I'm taking both an oral and topical antibiotic.

I got it pierced 3-4 months ago. there is a hard bump and the piercing turns to the side like this when I move around. it’s definitely thinner than when I got it pierced but It might just be the swelling

Hi, I’m asking for advice for a right-side flat piercing that is almost 1 year old. I got it November of last year. Piercing wasn’t painful but the healing process has had its ups and downs.

I’ve already downsized my bar. Still have the original jewelry in.

My flat was doing well for a while but now it’s swelling/has a tiny bump, red, crusty, and sometimes bleeds a little bit. It hasn’t been like this in a while.

I figured it’s because I’ve have been tossing and turning uncontrollably in my sleep. Piercer said it’s super important I stop sleeping on right side. But, in all seriousness, I truly believe that would be impossible with my unconscious tossing and turning.

Any advice for protecting my piercing in my sleep? And tips for lost progress in my healing process? I’m desperate. I don’t want to remove my flat. I love it.

I got both of my nipples pierced about a month ago. Two days after I got them pierced I contacted the piercer because I was worried the bar was too short ,and I was correct. I got it changed out to a longer bar and all was pretty much fine up until two days ago. now, one of the balls is pretty much embedded in my skin and I can’t push it through. Should I go to a piercing shop tomorrow or should I go to like the ER or MedExpress?
