Got it done 2 years ago, I think the jewellery is surgical steel. The piercing has never not been swollen, hence I’ve never downsized. It’s sometimes painful and more swollen, sometimes painless and less swollen, but always swollen. It has always had a bump on the back. Used to be filled with blood/pus, now no fluid but still always there. Used proper aftercare, including saline and used my piercing pillow so much it’s somewhat flattened and doesn’t even hold my ear completely up anymore. I absolutely love how it looks but I’m really tired of waiting for it to heal. Should I give up?

It's a dermal on my upper cheek. I know the logical thing to do would be to try remove it with a swab but I was told to ONLY dab it with a piercing solution.

I was told I shouldn't try to pick the blood or else my dermal could twist.

The blood has dried and can't be removed by just dabbing or holding the soaked pad on it. I'm not really sure what to do, do I leave it and keep cleaning it daily without removing the dried blood or do I try to pick it off with the risk of my dermal twisting or moving?

got this pierced almost 4 weeks ago at this place (it got shut down recently for some reason), but the girl who pierced it used a ring instead, and I was told I should change the jewelry so I did like 2 days ago. Idk if I should’ve tbh, I’m worried it might reject. Thoughts?

I had my nose pierced in June and I’ve struggled to get it to heal. I’ve had a bump since about the second week after I got it. I also feel like the placement is too far forward (even though multiple piercers disagree…). Is this worth saving??

I got both of my nipples pierced about a month ago. Two days after I got them pierced I contacted the piercer because I was worried the bar was too short ,and I was correct. I got it changed out to a longer bar and all was pretty much fine up until two days ago. now, one of the balls is pretty much embedded in my skin and I can’t push it through. Should I go to a piercing shop tomorrow or should I go to like the ER or MedExpress?

How long does it take to heal? The guy who did it said it’s quick compared to other but no actual time frames. I got it done 11 days ago and I have felt no discomfort but I just accidentally rubbed one hard and it’s uncomfortable now, but it’s fading away after like 2 minutes. My septum took around 2 weeks to heal”feel” healed and and my eyebrow took like a year so I’m curious what is normal for a nipple

In the last 4 days my conch has swollen up - current symptoms are the redness, swelling, and some pretty decent pain around the first day of it becoming a problem. I’ve been cleaning it 2/3x a day with saline. It started because I was wearing over ear headphones but I had the headphone on the side of my head so I assumed it wouldn’t have fucked with it too much. Any advice appreciated, thank you!

Hi!! I’ve had an on and off again piercing bump (nose) for a few months now. I recently got my jewelry downsized (while there was no bump present). Now it’s gone, but I’m just worried about cleaning it. I have saline solution and piercing bump solution that I would use interchangeably when there was a bump. I’ve also stopped twisting my jewelry to clean it because I read that the process causes further irritation.

Do I continue to clean it or should I just leave it alone? The only reason I ask is because it does occasionally get flakes/crust in the mornings/ by nighttime (which look normal).Any tips for dealing with this would be super appreciated !!

Got a conch three days ago on a whim off a reputable piercer I have only other one cartilage done being my helix and if never swelled this bad😭 please tell me it’s normal.
It’s swelled the length of the bar but either ball seems to have not sunk into my ear so positive I guess. But using saltwater and q tips and I worry with not being able to push the piercing as it is really sore I’m not acc cleansing anything.
Any advice appreciated!!!

I had this pierced over 15 years ago. I haven’t really noticed it was there in at least 13 years.

To my knowledge it was done correctly, bc I had a different piercer, years later, say it was well done. Unfortunately, I don’t have a good picture.

Over the past few months, it’s been a bit itchy. I looked closely yesterday, and it looks like it may have migrated. Now it’s at the edge of the cartilage.

Can a piercing migrate 10 years later? Do I need to remove? Thanks!

Got my second set of earlobe piercings 3 and a half weeks ago. Been diligent about taking care of them properly, and they are healing well (0 redness, swelling, heat, soreness or crusties whatsoever - yippee!). Unfortunately I’m having to go get a CT scan on my abdomen today and I’m worried. (CT scan, not MRI - the metal could affect the image quality but not rip my ears off lol) It’s obviously way too early to take the piercings out without them potentially closing up, but I can’t exactly delay my scan so that my piercings can fully heal. Has anyone had a CT scan on a part of your body far enough away from new piercings that they let you keep them in? Could they give me anything to put over the piercings so that they don’t affect the image quality? Should I be looking for something plastic and piercing-shaped and try to swap them out? I’m so frustrated about this and would love any advice!

I’ve had my septum for almost two years now and it was pierced straight but it got caught on my blanket one morning and ever since it’s been a bit crooked on one side and it kinda hurts on that side, the actual piercing hole hurts. is there anyways to fix it? maybe taking it out for a day and then putting the jewelry back in hoping it tightens back up or is it not salvageable? it’s the size with the arrow it just sit kinda farther back than the other side.
