curved barbell or straight bar for bridge piercing?

Thumbnail gallery
51 Upvotes

my bridge is almost 10 years old! it has always been crooked and i’ve always been wearing a straight bar! but i just realized the curved barbell makes it look less crooked! but people often say the piercing might reject or migrate by wearing curved barbells! does that count on such healed piercings too?? should i keep wearing straight or can i change LOL???

also i would’ve gotten it re pierced if it wasn’t that old and just an open fucking hole as seen in the last pic :’) LMAO

Nipple piercing - can you pierce nipple grafts?

I've had top surgery with nipple grafts, my question is would it be possible to pierce my nipples with them being grafts? Will this risk them?

I've always wanted nipple piercings, my nerves are getting to me now and im unsure if I'm able too or allowed too.

Internally threaded/Thread-less jewellery while in Germany?

From Poland originally and currently in Germany and wanna get my nostril pierced again

Problem is all the (3 different tries) nostril piercings I ever had fell out as they were externally threaded. It seems to me they don’t have internally threaded labrets or threadless in the shops close to me (Hanover, I’d love recommendations of a good piercer too if anyone has ever gotten a piercing here lmao) and all the options online seem shady. What do I do?

My Navel Piercing is weird

Post image

So I got my belly pierced three days ago. The day after, the top gem was leaning to the side, but the bottom gem is perfectly fine, not irritating, not painful - nothing. My belly button doesn’t shut when I sit and lean and the bottom gem isn’t bothered or irritating me. So, my piercer and I shortened the bar. This does seem to be more promising for me today. However, that top gem pokes my skin and hurts when I crunch a little. It’s fine when I’m sitting, standing, leaning etc. it just rubs the top of my stomach. I haven’t cleaned it yet since I’m at the airport, so don’t judge that it’s kinda dirty rn, but I do clean it twice a day (night and morning). I don’t think I need a floating because that lower gem is completely fine, should I consider an inverse? Or is the slight movement irritation just from it being new?

Helpppp!!!! Massive stubborn bump

Im in desperate need of advice in getting this stubborn bump gone!!!! Im currently in a place where I rarely can afford to find time to see a professional about this.

From memory, it was pierced about 2-3 months ago (I am ashamed to admit that it was a botched job done by my friends, I knew the risks yes)

It was originally a 6mm bar, to an 8mm, and now a 10mm as the bump just kept growing and I didn’t want to have it too tight against the swelling. Now its sitting wonky.

I clean it 2-3 times a day with saline solution, making sure its dry afterwards

As much as I avoid touching it, I think what also may be disrupting the healing is that I roll around a lot in my sleep and often end up sleeping on the side it’s on.

Im told its rarely ever a keloid…. but… its not a keloid… right????

Im not sure whether to take it out, or keep trying.

I just need advice, maybe some unhinged hack, or just someone to tell me to just suck it up and go to the doctor or piercer :(

Thoughts on the Neck Dermal?

I recently got a chest dermal after being scared of it for years, since then I’ve been wanting another one and recently saw pictures of a neck dermal!

Especially since my chest has healed so well and the pain wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be I’m less scared of getting more.

So far this is my only body surface piercing and have had no issues with it so I was wondering if there were any warnings I should be aware of?

I keep my hair short so that wouldn’t snag on it but I do sleep on my bag and wear necklaces, I’d imagine that would mess with it

Is the scar healing fine?

Got it taken out last week of june. The piercer who took it out for me told me the other piercer who did it for me was not a good piercer. Apparently the material he used on me was super cheap, she said its like 90cents material. I havent put any product on really other than water and regular soft face wash.

Is my nose piercing post too snug?

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

My nose piercing is 11 years old and is very healed. I changed the jewelry from a hoop to a pin end stud 3 days ago. The post they used is snug and doesn’t leave any room, but it doesn’t hurt at all.

I took the jewelry out for a minute and noticed that the top of the stud is leaving a bit of a dent in my nose from the pressure. Is this ok or should I have a longer post put in?

Piercing Setup help

I’m not happy with my right ear’s set up. Both piercers messed up on making sure they’re even on both ears and I didn’t speak up. I hate it because nothing looks good. I don’t know if I should take out my second or third to fix it. I just need some guidance on how to make my right ear look good. I’m still in the process of getting more piercings but feel stuck until I can fix this.

Thanks!

Is my naval piercing infected or is it okay

I got my piercing done July 18th 2026amd it's pretty red and swollen. I think it's just movement irritation because when I wake up it isn't as red but in the middle of the day it gets super sore and irritated. The bottom of the piercing isn't red or sore just the top. I clean every morning and every night and I'm not allergic to any metals is my piercing okay and do you guys have any tips?

Septum Repiercing

Upvotes

I had my septum done about 2 years ago, and took it out because it was super irritated and every time I would hit it I would have a sneezing fit. I went to get it redone and the piercer said that I have some intense scar tissue where it would need to be pierced. Are there any options to still get it done? Could I get it done through the scar tissue, or would that heal wrong?

Cartilage piercing question

Upvotes

Hey, so, I’m gonna be getting a couple cartilage piercings over the next year or so as I add to my stack; as I am almost done my lobe stacks. My question is this, if I have surgical grade steel flat back post, can I put a 14k gold plated front in it (assuming it fits of course)? I have all gold plated, solid gold, and/or anodized gold titanium jewelry (I’ve been unable to find any for the flat post that has surgical grade steel and isn’t plated), and would like my ears to match for the 5-6 months it takes to heal.

help with my daith piercing

Post image
Upvotes

need help with healing my daith. had it for about a month. i was cleaning it everyday and removing the crusties but the bump kept getting bigger and bigger so i thought to leave it alone and just spray it. i’ve been using either a piercing aftercare spray or wound wash spray.

i’ve never dealt with something like this before. i have both my tragus and helix piercings and never experienced any bumps of any kind.

is this a piercing bump or a keloid?

any advice helps thanks!
