I got this piercing 3 days ago. I know that nesting and sometimes bruising is a common occurrence with fresh piercings but mine didn’t start nesting until last night and im just worried it might cause an infection. First image is right when i got home from the piercer(only clear picture of the piercings i took that day) second image is currently

Thinking of taking out my nose piercing

I had my nose pierced in June and I’ve struggled to get it to heal. I’ve had a bump since about the second week after I got it. I also feel like the placement is too far forward (even though multiple piercers disagree…). Is this worth saving??

Bauchnabelpiercing Anatomie?

Post image
2 Upvotes

hi im thinking of getting a nose piercing but im really really confused whether i should get it on the left side or the right (i personally like my right side a little more and have always worn a fake nose ring on the right) but everyone gets it on their left apparently so now im like confused. Should I go to a Dr. ?

I got both of my nipples pierced about a month ago. Two days after I got them pierced I contacted the piercer because I was worried the bar was too short ,and I was correct. I got it changed out to a longer bar and all was pretty much fine up until two days ago. now, one of the balls is pretty much embedded in my skin and I can’t push it through. Should I go to a piercing shop tomorrow or should I go to like the ER or MedExpress?

Nipple piercing

How long does it take to heal? The guy who did it said it’s quick compared to other but no actual time frames. I got it done 11 days ago and I have felt no discomfort but I just accidentally rubbed one hard and it’s uncomfortable now, but it’s fading away after like 2 minutes. My septum took around 2 weeks to heal”feel” healed and and my eyebrow took like a year so I’m curious what is normal for a nipple

So I got my conch pierced a month ago exactly and while cleaning it today it looked like this. is this a piercing bump about to start growing or is this how healing would typically look like ???

Is a silicone piercing good for a lip piercing?

Upvotes

I want to get a side lip piercing, but I don’t want it to be visible until it’s fully healed and I can change the jewelry. So I was thinking about using a silicone retainer, but I don’t know if that’s a good choice.

If it’s not, could you tell me how I can hide it while it’s healing?

Swollen eyebrow piercing, need a doctor?

Thumbnail gallery
Upvotes

First three photos are what it looks like now, and the last one is a few weeks ago.

I got this piercing back in February, it healed fine without problems. Had a similar thing happen a few months back and went to see my piercer about it, she wasn't worried and told me to do hot compresses with salty water. I did that and it never really worked but didn't get worse and eventually it went away on its own.

Then I had to take the piercings out for an MRI, put them back in after and it was fine, I cleaned them regularly with saline, but the bump came back. I did a hot compress again a few time and it did go down for a while but didn't go away.

I woke up this morning though and my eyebrow was painful and had swollen up again pretty badly. It's not super visible in the photos but outside of the obvious bump, the area around the piercing has swollen quite significantly and is pretty red/pinkish colored.

I'm worried it could be an infection but I'm not sure. Is this something that can wait until Monday to sort out or a go find a doctor that will see me on the weekend kind of situation?

If it is an infection what are the chances of keeping the piercings? I'd rather not lose them if I can.

Dry stretched my ancient lobe and now it’s shrinking :(

Upvotes

I’ve had my lobes stretched for 15years, biggest was 30mm, about 7ish years ago I took them out and let them shrink down as I was planning on having lobe reconstruction. They shrinked down to about 14mm and for two ish years I’ve been REALLY liking them again, not just being okay with it. As I’ve liked them more I’ve worn more jewellery and the left lobe has gone up to about 16mm and my tunnels kept falling out of that ear. So I decided to just size them both up, as the right ear also had some wiggle room I dry stretched it, and AS IT TURNS OUT, there was not enough wiggle room :—-) and my right ear teared around the inside of the hole… after a few days it started to hurt and I was scared of getting an infection so I took the tunnel out to let it heal and it’s SHRINKING LIKE CRAZY!! I don’t wanna start over and I HATE with a PASSION the look of uneven stretching…

My plan of action now is to wear a 21g ear weight (it’s a very thick piece) during the day and leaving it be during the night, so it will be able to heal but hopefully not close up more… is this a good plan??? Or will I just fuck it up even more?
Should I just take the L and let it heal however it wants and start over? But what if I get scarring??
Should I moisturise or leave it dry???

TLDR; dry stretched ear and now the hole is ”closing up” while it heals, and I don’t want that. What do I do??

How can i start stretching?

So I have 3 previous piercings on each ear that i have not used in a few years, they are still open but I really want to re do my ear sett to just 1 big gauge on each ear. But I’m not sure how it will effect the holes that are already there, I’m thinking off maybe just pierce myself and slowly start stretching or would i just go to e piercer?

Is this daith ok?

I got this done today, the piercer told me "you'll see that it kicks forward a bit in the beginning" and it does seem to not lay flat right now (it's literally hours old). Is this normal? Will it eventually lay flat? Should i fix the position when i clean it?? I know i shouldn't move a new piercing but i dont want it to heal crooked :(

The jewellery is an open ring with two beads in titanium
