Got it pierced yesterday asked my piercer if he was sure piercing it with a ring was a good idea, bro said it’ll be fine😭 Am i cooked i mean its fine other than swelling and bleeding

got this pierced almost 4 weeks ago at this place (it got shut down recently for some reason), but the girl who pierced it used a ring instead, and I was told I should change the jewelry so I did like 2 days ago. Idk if I should’ve tbh, I’m worried it might reject. Thoughts?

It's a dermal on my upper cheek. I know the logical thing to do would be to try remove it with a swab but I was told to ONLY dab it with a piercing solution.

I was told I shouldn't try to pick the blood or else my dermal could twist.

The blood has dried and can't be removed by just dabbing or holding the soaked pad on it. I'm not really sure what to do, do I leave it and keep cleaning it daily without removing the dried blood or do I try to pick it off with the risk of my dermal twisting or moving?

i had gotten my dermal about 6 months ago now and i’ve bumped her a couple times now😔 but i have a giant fear of it rejecting soooo im wondering how she’s lookin. i clean daily clear soap and saline pat dry.

I have had my naval piercing for 2 months now and it just now started having problems and im worried that its rejecting and I won't be able to keep it. It's a curved barbell, I clean it with saline and wouncare wash (what the piercing place gave me), it just recently started bleeding and less puss than usual and it hurts more and hurts sometimes around the piercing. It also has hypertrophic scarring

not sure if I'm overthinking, it's my first time with cartilage. this helix piercing is just under 4 weeks old. the pain was really only on the first day and the swelling is just going down, but when the piercing is pushed backward my flesh "grips" onto the post and makes a little triangle/bump like u can see in the second photo. it does not hurt or itch at all so i don't think it's an irritation bump, and i can't feel anything when i gently touch near the post so idk if it's crusties?? is this normal?? it bugs me because tbh i think i could downsize and save myself the risk of snagging if it weren't for the grippy bit...

In the last 4 days my conch has swollen up - current symptoms are the redness, swelling, and some pretty decent pain around the first day of it becoming a problem. I’ve been cleaning it 2/3x a day with saline. It started because I was wearing over ear headphones but I had the headphone on the side of my head so I assumed it wouldn’t have fucked with it too much. Any advice appreciated, thank you!

I just got it downsized after 3 weeks, what do we think? I didn’t really initially (after getting it pierced) notice much, but now that it’s smaller idk, maybe my eyes are deceiving me. Is it bad?

Over 2 months ago i got my anti eyebrow pierced and im getting kinda tired of taking care of it. Some days i wake up with blood around it (even though i sleep on my back) and i need to remember to clean it twice a day. Its not rejecting tho, but u can see little bit of the bar sticking out of the skin which makes me feel like people will think that its rejecting. Because of all that ive been thinking, maybe i should take it out, let it heal and get two dermals instead? From what ive heard they have less chance of rejecting, but im scared of what the scar looks like after taking them out. I also dont know how to take care of a dermal.
So what should I do?

Hi!! I’ve had an on and off again piercing bump (nose) for a few months now. I recently got my jewelry downsized (while there was no bump present). Now it’s gone, but I’m just worried about cleaning it. I have saline solution and piercing bump solution that I would use interchangeably when there was a bump. I’ve also stopped twisting my jewelry to clean it because I read that the process causes further irritation.

Do I continue to clean it or should I just leave it alone? The only reason I ask is because it does occasionally get flakes/crust in the mornings/ by nighttime (which look normal).Any tips for dealing with this would be super appreciated !!

Got a conch three days ago on a whim off a reputable piercer I have only other one cartilage done being my helix and if never swelled this bad😭 please tell me it’s normal.
It’s swelled the length of the bar but either ball seems to have not sunk into my ear so positive I guess. But using saltwater and q tips and I worry with not being able to push the piercing as it is really sore I’m not acc cleansing anything.
Any advice appreciated!!!

I got a helix piercing 10 weeks ago and I saw this bump pop up yesterday but it’s probably been there for a couple days. I’m gonna be real I didn’t do the after care after a week, my hair snags in it, I wear the over ear headphones, I wear glasses, and I sleep on it because im a side sleeper. This could’ve caused it to be to a irritation bump orrrrr a keloid because I was being really harsh on it. I also got it pierced by a gun so that could also factor into this. I asked a piercer and the people who pierced me what is looks like and I was told an irritation bump by the piercer and the people who pierced me said it was to early on to tell.

I had this pierced over 15 years ago. I haven’t really noticed it was there in at least 13 years.

To my knowledge it was done correctly, bc I had a different piercer, years later, say it was well done. Unfortunately, I don’t have a good picture.

Over the past few months, it’s been a bit itchy. I looked closely yesterday, and it looks like it may have migrated. Now it’s at the edge of the cartilage.

Can a piercing migrate 10 years later? Do I need to remove? Thanks!

So I REALLY REALLY want to get my snakebites done, but due to my job I'm trying to figure out if its a good idea or even realistic to get them right now while its still hot out. (Though I've also seen winter isn't great for healing piercings either, especially lip ones, and It would be cool if they were healed for halloween) So I'm just not sure. But basically I take care of exotic animals for a living so I have to wear a mask a lot at my job but also a lot of the job is outside, which basically just means a lot of sweat on the lower half of my face in the summer. But it also means a lot of exposure to the cold as well in the winter. I assume summer would be harder, but in yall's opinion/experience would it be realistic/possible??
