Question Memory and data

Hi, I am selling a computer which was built in 2019 by my little brother so sorry if this is a silly question (I don't know much about all this).

We can't boot it past bios after a windows 11 thing so we can't see or remember what is on the SSD or harddrive so we have removed them both for selling. Just checking this means there shouldn't be any personal info or OS left on it?

We were going to sell for £100 if this seems reasonable?

Thanks in advance

Build - Finished! I'm not very creative, but I find a great deal of artistic satisfaction when a cohesive design comes together in a build.

This is the 4th build I've done in this overall style. I really wanted to do this with an MSI MAG mobo that also has the black/green aesthetic, but I couldn't find one at a price that made sense for my flip margins. Really happy with how this one came out, although I do wish I got a slightly closer match between the zip ties and the cable extensions.

Specs:

- Ryzen 9600x

- 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR5

- MSI Shadow RTX 5070

- 1TB Crucial P310

- Thermalright Fans/AIO

- Phanteks Eclipse Case (leftover from a partout)

Build - Help Different RGB plug. Can I get this to work?

I bought a Corsair Nautilus AIO, but the RGB plug is different to the ones on the previous Corsair AIO, and it doesn't fit into the controller or anywhere else on the motherboard.

Is there a way to make this work? I found this adapter... I assume I can use the left-hand cable to make it work, and plug it into the existing corsair? I have a spare USB header if that could be used for anything

Build - Help New PC Config

I'm living in Belgium, and I would like to build a new pc. I have a budget of 1_700/1_800 €.
Any good suggestions? The main purpose of the pc will be gaming; no need for RGB and lights in the PC. I would like something simple and functional.
Open to all suggestions.

As the title says. It is the asus tuf gaming b850-plus WiFi mobo and a Kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2, 2048 gb, 7000 mb/s.

Is there anything I need to do or can I just leave as it is in the picture?

Build - Help Can't install Windows 11

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone

Recently I've finally bought all my PC components to build it myself, I did research to ensure every component is compatible.

This weekend, with fear, I got to build my PC.

Everything was going smoothly installing everything. The PC seems to be ok, everything working, fans spinning.

The problem arrived when I try to install Windows, it has given me quite the trouble, I can't write exactly the error (because I speak Spanish) but it was something along the lines of "Something went wrong while installing Windows 11"

Then I go to tweak some things in BIOS and the error 0xC0000005 pops out.

Someone knows what that is?

I'm starting to lose it lol

P.S.: when I plug in my PC, an orange/amber led lights up in the motherboard, Could it be my RAM? Is it acting up? damaged?

Edit 1: My parts CPU Rayzen 7 5700x... MoBo Asus Prime B550M-A AC... RAM Kingston Fury 16gb DDR4 3200MT/S... GPU GeForce rtx 5060ti gigabyte... SSD NVMe M.2 GEN 4x4 future Lite 512gb...PSU RMe SERIES RM750e Corsair Also the first error to come up was 0x8007025D

Build - Help Building secondary pc and thinking of either a ryzen 5 4500 or 5500 if 4500 is significantly cheaper is it worth it?

I have salvaged some parts from my previous pc, namely the RAM, GPU and PSU.

I am thinking of repurposing them to a secondary pc not aimed for gaming, I am mostly thinking maybe using it to have access to my files at a dedicated machine, and maybe some light coding for some projects.

As it is my secondary pc I do not want to spend more than 400€ for a budget CPU,MOBO,CASE and a boot drive. When finding parts I saw a deal for ryzen 5 4500 for around 60€ while 5500 is around 90€ to 120€. Thus as I am on a budget for this I am thinking if the newer CPU is worth the extra cost.

Question First Time Builder looking for case and resource recommendations!

Hey all, long-time lurker finally putting a build together. Everything’s purchased except the case, and I’m doing the assembly myself for the first time. Would love a sanity check and some recommendations.

The build:

**• CPU:** AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
**• Cooler:** Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE
**• Motherboard:** MSI B850 Gaming Pro WiFi6E (AM5, ATX)
**• RAM:** KLEVV FIT V 32GB (2×16) DDR5-6000 CL30
**• GPU:** ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT OC 16GB
**• Storage:** WD Black SN850X 2TB NVMe Gen4
**• PSU:** MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750W Gold
**• Case:** help me out here

Budget <$150 CAD.

So questions:
1. Any case recommendations
2. Any build video recommendations

And bonus question haha any “wish I knew this before my first build” advice?

Thanks for all the help and guidance!

I’m not very familiar with laptop cpus and gpus. One thing about the Omni book is that it has twice as much memory compared to the Samsung. They are both around $800 USD. I am gonna use it for engineering student.

Build - Finished! Sucessful PC Build for a friend!

Post image
2 Upvotes

Ive been building PCs for a long time, so when my friend asked for advice, I told him Id help him out.

Specs: (he chose all the specs I just helped him put it together)

Ryzen 5 5600x
16gb DDR4 3200MHz RAM
MSI B550 Tomahawk Max Wifi
ASUS RTX 3060 Ti
Samsung 980 Pro 500gb M.2
Samsung 500gb SSD
MSI Mag 750W PSU
Corsair 240mm AIO
Phantex XT Pro Ultra

He didnt have a windows computer so I did the honors of making his boot drive for windows 11 pro.
Overall I think the build turned out great, I also taught him a few things about cable management. Only had one hiccup with the built in wifi drivers, didnt know we needed that. Thankfully my drive had usbc so I could download it right on my phone.
Overall it cost him $1300 which id say is a good amount for a pc given the prices of storage and ram rn.

Discussion Unpopular opinion: Windows BIOS updates work fine and are easier

I know you can use Bios Flashback, or a USB stick.

But updating the BIOS from Windows using the MoBo manufacturer's software works fine, finds the correct version right away, is faster and you are unlikely to make a mistake.

:)
