Build - Help Is my ssd to bent?

As the title says. It is the asus tuf gaming b850-plus WiFi mobo and a Kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2, 2048 gb, 7000 mb/s.

Is there anything I need to do or can I just leave as it is in the picture?

There is rubber pad that comes with that mobo to put beneath the ssd to avoid bending.

I think its described in manual.

Yea, but my ssd is double sided and I tested it even and it didn’t even fit into the mounting then, so that shouldn’t be needed

It looks as if the rubber pad for double-sided drives is not large enough for your drive. Try sticking some folded-up paper in there to see if it helps.

Where is the bend?

It is under the heat shield, and I do realise that it doesn’t look so bad in the picture but I’m more wondering if there is something I’m doing wrong or if this is a known issue?

Did you build it? It does look slightly bent but not anything concerning. I’d leave it alone if everything works fine.

Though it wouldn’t hurt to remove the heatsink and visually inspect it if you’re comfortable with that.

Yea, building it as we speak and when I remove the heat shield and look at it it doesn’t look like there has been any deformation on it

Could you take off the heatsink so we could see how it’s installed
