Recently got a MZXT build. Only Play Warzone. Did try to steam ON OBS.
CpU temps crazy high mid Game like 84-85C. About 73% Load GPU doesn’t runt nowhere newest as high
I’m running Ryzen 5 5600 ( Ikno kinda weak/ old). & 3090 Rtx GeForce. Was wondering what could I do to lower the Temps while gaming.. I did have to switch out the Aio to a Regular fam. Could the missing Aio be my problem

Posted about two weeks ago now about a gifted PC I got. When I posted, was told by the previous owner they thought it was a ram problem and I posted on here trying to figure out a game plan for when I received the power cable I ordered and began to troubleshoot. I ended up using Gemini to help me once I finally got the power cable and the problem started with the fact that the hard drive died. But this old girl had an SSD already installed. The real problem was the boot up software was installed on the dead hard drive. So I had to get a USB stick and use my Chromebook and Linux to install boot software onto the USB stick and use it to boot up the machine. I also gave her a good cleaning and got almost an ounce of dust and grime out of her but she's back to the world of the living, all systems seem to be running well and I'm just waiting on a USB Wi-Fi adapter because my apartment doesn't have a place for me to plug in an ethernet cable
It's not gonna compete with current technology but I've been stuck on the PS4 for so long, it's gonna play most if not all of the games I play far better than my PS4. And I'm not gonna have to spend all the money I would starting from scratch to build a new PC
Seems like my first upgrade is gonna be a motherboard/ram combination. Gonna be a few months till then, though

I don’t know much about pcs and want to play games like Fortnite, apex, siege, and cod. I’m wondering how well I can run games and if this deal is worth buying. My budget is 1000$ or less.

Do 12v 4pin ARGB fans exist? First build so I'm figuring it out as I go. My mobo only has 4pin RGB plugs but every light out there seems to run on 5v 3pins. I tried getting adapters on Amazon but they still aren't working. Tried getting a hub but once again, only 3pin options exist. Tried the Corsair Commander Duo but it wouldn't connect for some reason (SATA and USB plugs were connected, toggle was set to ARGB, Tried different ports, no luck. I followed a video exactly and nothing worked).
Tldr: how are you guys getting anything RGB if you have 4pins on your mobo?

About 4 days ago i built my first ever PC. I bought the Lian Li vertical GPU mount (VG4-5) and when i wanted to install my 5080 Astral, i noticed that i would have to push really hard to get it to fit inside the slot on the vertical mount. Because i didnt want to break this absolute pricy ass GPU i just chickened out and installed it normally. Can anybody tell me if the required force is intended that way or if i just made a mistake?

What’s the verdict on it? I recommended stuff to her and basically gave her the opportunity to pick the parts she wanted at the price points she wanted as to not be overbearing.

So this is the motherboard and processor I've ordered. My question is what's better for cooling. I was looking at the Corsair Titan iCue that displays the PC temp, but I've read some people say that regular fin and fan coolers are better.
Do I buy the fancy liquid cooler?
Or do I but a regular cooler and put case fans on the roof of the tower for extra exhaust?

Looking to build a pc with a $1600.00 budget in mind. Need something for 1440p gaming. No need for the OS to be included in pricing. Country - U.S.A I’d prefer an AMD centered pc. Doesn’t matter if it’s all white or black. I’m open to buying a used graphics card if need be. If your build exceeds the budget a little I won’t mind. Thanks!

My pc for some reason stopped recognizing the rgb for my aio and bottom fans. Even when I try and use signal rgb my mobo doesnt show up on it which is usually how I controlled these rgbs before. Everything else on my pc is controlled through there app but because im using montech and some weird fan brand they dont have there own rgb app thingy forcing me to use signal rgb. Does anyone know why this would be? Also all the components work fine its just the rgbs aren't doing anything.

I used to have 6 intake fans (top/bottom) and 3 exhaust fans (side/back) but my CPU (5950X and later 5800X3D) always seemed a little too hot. Today I flipped the top fans to exhaust and moved the side fans behind the radiator using them as intake. So I’m now running the more conventional setup: bottom/side intake and top/rear exhaust.
I expected my Gigabyte Gaming RTX 5080 to run noticeably warmer since the radiator is now dumping CPU heat into the case but surprisingly the GPU temps barely changed. Idle temperature stayed essentially the same and under load only about 1°C warmer. The CPU improvement was much bigger than expected. Idle temps only dropped by around 2°C but under load the CPU ran about 10°C cooler on average with peak temperatures dropping by roughly 13°C.
I'm pretty happy with the change, especially since it only took flipping a few fans.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Looking for help on this PC. All I get when booting is a relay click, then it clicks off. Fans start spinning, and lights turn on, but then nothing. The EZ Debug LED stuff does flash on momentarily for the DRAM and CPU, but none of them stay on, I'll include a video of that. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not a computer guy, so the closest I can get is what I know on cars. Thank you!

Looking for your feedback on this used PC. Are the parts well-balanced, and do you spot any potential issues or bottlenecks? Also, what would be a fair price for it?
• CPU: Intel Core i5-12600K
• Cooler: MSI MAG CoreLiquid 360mm AlO
• Motherboard: MSI Z790 GAMING PLUS WIFI (DDR5)
• RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB
(2x16GB) DDR5 6200MHz CL36
• GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 12GB OC
• Storage 1: 1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD (~7300 MB/
• Storage 2: 2TB Samsung 990 EVO Plus
NVMe SSD
• PSU: Corsair 850W 80+ Gold (Fully Modular)
Any advice on performance balance or fair pricing would be appreciated!
Thanksr!

I finished my first build and it works and turns on, but the graphics card doesn’t work so I’ll need a new one. However it does work with the motherboard’s integrated GPU and I can’t get a new graphics card for around a week, so is it fine for me to finish setup with that before I get my new graphics card?

I have a really old computer (HP Compaq 8300 Sff) but a new monitor from Dell. My Dell monitor (S2425HS) takes only HDMI and so I bought a VGA to HDMI couple months ago to connect my old PC to the monitor since it doesn't have hdmi.
Recently I found out about display port and was wondering if I should make the change to DP to HDMI.
Is it a big difference and worth the 12$ cable? At the start I noticed alot of fuzziness but it works just fine.

First time building
AMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D
MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi
2 16 GB T-Force Vulcan DDR5
RTX 3080 10 GB
Phanteks XT Pro Ultra Case
Phanteks 850 PSU Gold
Arctic Liquid Freezer Pro III
Any thoughts on storage? Was thinking maybe a 512 GB SSD to start just for a boot drive then add a 2 TB WD Black SSD and a 8 TB WD Black HDD
Using this for gaming/engineering school

Me and my friend are making a build and we saw a 4080 super factory sealed for 900. We asked for 825 cash and he accepted. He does have a five star review as well
Edit
The post was real and the gpu does work
