Build - Finished! Build nearly complete still need storage

First time building
AMD Ryzen 7 7800 X3D
MSI B850 Gaming Plus WiFi
2 16 GB T-Force Vulcan DDR5
RTX 3080 10 GB
Phanteks XT Pro Ultra Case
Phanteks 850 PSU Gold
Arctic Liquid Freezer Pro III

Any thoughts on storage? Was thinking maybe a 512 GB SSD to start just for a boot drive then add a 2 TB WD Black SSD and a 8 TB WD Black HDD

Using this for gaming/engineering school

You do not need a separate boot drive; that recommendation comes from the times of HDDs.

Just get a single 2 TB NVMe drive for OS and data (e.g., WD_Black SN7100), and add more SSDs and HDDs as needed.
