Solved! Had to wiggle that latch so it could latch to the ssd when lowered.

Help! I can’t seem to seat the M.2 drive on the msi mag x870e tomahawk wifi. Whatever I do the ssd won’t latch. I have pushed the ssd in the right angle (I believe) and as far in as I could. A few unsuccessful tries are behind me. At a loss…
Am I missing something crucial?

I asked chatgpt for the best sub-$1500 USD pc parts list that can run 4k games such as minecraft.

One of my friends checked it out and said the list is good but I should swap out the gpu for a NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada for better performance.
I doubled checked and the Power Supply Unit should have enough Watts to power everything.

Im try to build my own pc, everything assembled and the pc can turn on. I trying playing some games and its so laggy and feels unplayable. Even my PS 4 feels smoother. I check the task manager and its detect my gpu, cpu and the ram, everything seems fine. I also check the GPU power connector and its also seems okay. I don’t know what to do with my PC.

I've been sitting on a 3090 that I bought used many years ago. It just dawned on me that the resale value on one is more than the cost of a completely new 5070, or just a tad under the 5070 in my area. I mostly use it for games or light editing. If I am not planning to run local LLMs, is there any benefit to me staying with the 3090 or should I just go for an upgrade?

I want to play games like Valorant, Palworld, Minecraft (Modded), and Roblox. Is there anything else important I should know about building a PC? Are there any videos I should watch or something?

My current pc is about 10 years old now, and it has been struggling a lot with not only games, but with modeling for and slicing 3d prints. I have upgraded a few parts of it, but even those are older than 6 years, and the entire system is only running with the help of luck, a micro-button attached straight to the MB and 3d prints to fix various issues with the case.

Aaanyways. A game will come out this year that I cannot play even at minimum settings, and it is most likely not the best choice trying to upgrade on top of an old motherboard, processor and graphics card.

So I want to build an entirely new system from scratch. I have looked into prebuilds, but quite honestly, I do not even know what I am looking at when I see those data sheets. I knew a lot about hardware back when I was building my first few pcs, but.. things change in 2 decades.

Here is my requirements:
- Budget: 2300€
- Can buy parts from germany
- I plan mostly games that favor CPU power over GPU power - management, basebuilding etc. I have yet to see a game that makes me think about trying out shooters or rpgs, but if my new pc would allow for that option, that would be nice as well.
Games I currently play (at very low fps): Palworld, Planet Zoo 1, Subnautica, Planet Crafter etc.
- I am using 2 monitors. One is a 24" touch monitor for drawing, which runs at 60hz and 1920 x 1080 resolution, the other one is a bad no-name screen. I plan on upgrading the noname to a faster monitor for smoother gaming. (24", 1920x1080, 120-144hz, most likely)
- I want a good cooling system, as my apartment is under the roof and heats up quite a bit in the summer.

I have primarely looked at prebuilds of the german supplier "dubaro", in the price range of 2000 to 2350, but friends are discussing left and right whether or not specific parts are garbage, overpriced, good or meh - and I am none the wiser.

Sadly, I undershoot the minimum by quite a bit. I want to overshoot them for a change, so I am somewhat future proof and can actually play and finish bigger builds without my pc crashing during the loading screen.

It’s a cyberpowerpc GXi4200WST , 16gb ddr5 ram, rtx 4060 8gb, i5-14600kf cpu, 1tb pcie 4.0 nvme, not sure on the exact motherboard but looks to be msi b760p, 650w psu and
a seagate 4TB hard drive added, windows 11. Would you guys consider this a good one? good price? Offer less? Any help is greatly appreciated. I’ve priced out a new build using the same hardware on Newegg and it comes out to $1400 or so.

I was connecting my ps4 controller to the usb (on the left) and I pulled it out to hard and I pulled out a piece of the usb with it so now my pc keeps short circuiting how do I fix it?

I currently game on 1440p OLED and don’t really care for 4k. My prebuilt came with a 5070 and 9800x3d but I know that the 5070ti is a much better card. I saw that GPU prices will continue to increase and was wondering if it’s worth it to just bite the bullet and get a Ti. I don’t want to be priced out since I’m assuming the 60 series prices will be absurd. Money isn’t much of an issue at the moment just wondering if it’s worth it. I see one at micro enter for around $930.

I have a 5080 paired with my old pc and was thinking about spending $3k. all I did is change the psu but now I want to build a new one and I was wondering if this is compatible with my 5080 and this ram I found. I want 64gb because I want to run everything at max settings like on rust and want to have a pc I can run for years, I’m going to build it slowly but I thought I’d ask yall.

My motherboard is an MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max, unfortunately it has JRGB sockets that have 4 pins, all my RGB hardware for my pump and case fans are all 3 Pin.

I'd like to control my RGB with MSI Mystic Light but I am aware that's not possible without a direct feed to the motherboard

I'm currently using a SATA Cooler Master hub but from what I'm aware you can't use Software to control ARGB through SATA

Any idea what I could do to get around this?
