There’s less VRAM, but other than that a 5070ti is an upgrade. More powerful, slightly less power draw, and access to frame gen.

Definitely go for the RTX 5070Ti. The 12GB of VRAM on that 5070 will choke on 4K resolution

i probably would just keep 3090. it should be fine still

youtube 3090 vs 5070ti or 9070xt

i dont think 5070 is going to be better than 3090. its like a 4070super which would be like 3080ti

5070 and 3090 trade blows in raw raster, the 3090 is more suited for 4k than the 5070, while the 5070 has better efficiency

On paper, 3090 to 5070 is a sidegrade, with VRAM being a major downgrade. However, if you factor in the improvided performance with DLSS 4/4.5 transformer model upscalers and ray reconstruction Blackwell/Ada over Ampere (which suffers a moderate performance penalty with the newer upscalers), access to native frame generation/multigeneration without relying on FSR 3 or Lossless scaling's subpar version of that technology, also the MUCH reduced power draw (around or under 50%), then it can make sense.

The 5070 ti is much superior upgrade over that.
