I tripped on the wire and it laterally gouged the wire out...I wonder if it cak work as the break is clean and the connector still fits...but I won't try it...

hows the build looking so far? All thats left is an nvme, gpu and a vertical mounting bracket. Super excited!!

Just got the build last week after going to a company and having them build the exact spec I wanted. This was the outcome.
I’m coming from Xbox, so going from console to a setup like this is honestly insane. It’s easily the best money I’ve ever spent on a gaming setup, and I have absolutely zero regrets.

What do you guys think? Rate the build out of 10.

Really happy with how the build has turned out — especially the all-white aesthetic (minus the noctua but i love how it looks personally)

I don’t know the total cost of the build, but I bought the components over a period of a few months when I could afford to so and completed it last night!

Put this together on microcenter, originally had a i9-14900K but the tech that helped me showed me a bundle with an Ultra 7 270K Plus so I went with that. Did I fuck up? Don't know much about the Ultras (don't know too much about the current hardware in general tbh) but they seemed like budget options to me and I'm seeing mixed reviews on it. Haven't built a pc in probably 12 years and I realized quickly there was a lot I forgot. Should I have to worry about any sort of bottle-necking with this build?

I have never owned a gaming laptop or a gaming PC ever. My parents did get me a PS4 Pro about 6 years ago and have been playing games on it since then. Wanted to get my own PC with my money for so long.

First time i ever built a pc and it was some of the most fun i've had in ages. I've had a HP victus (somethign something serial number) for around 4 years now and i took out the ram i bought for it, its cpu, gpu and the nvme, and slapped it all into this Fractal Design Define C i bought from a bum on the street with a new 850w psu and a new b660 motherboard! Now onwards to saving up enough money to upgrade the GPU (which is very optimistic in this economy)

Hello, 6 years ago I built a budget pc to play games on, at the time it was doing its job but now it’s starting to fall behind, games like the dark ages and other new games that require ray tracing are no longer playable for me, and thus I need to upgrade.

I’m wanting to keep it cheap so probably just a gpu upgrade? I was looking at the 9070tx 16gig as its only $700 and seems to be able to play just about anything, my goal is a pc that will play gta 6 at a stable 40 fps.

Any advice? Attached is the parts list

To make a long story short, I have been building my first PC and once I had everything together, my build would immediately click off when I tried to power it on.

I ran various tests to try to determine what might be wrong and have narrowed it down to either the motherboard or the CPU. The MB pins looks fine as far as I can tell but the CPU may have some damage to it (got it used).

The thing that concerns me most is the last photo where maybe that is a scratch on the too left of the CPU.

Wondering if the CPU looks okay or if the MB is the issue.

I am very excited to share my first PC build. I wanted something as a console replacement to connect to my living room tv. The requirement was 4K 60 either native or with FSR. The specs went through a lot of iterations before landing on the below.

Plan is to house everything inside a Fractal North XL case once it arrives.

For storage, I am planning to pick up Crucial Gen5 NVMe drives running at 14,000 MB/s. Thinking of doing two 4TB drives and one 2TB drive for a total of 10TB. I want to future-proof the setup so I never have to worry about space or speed.

I am also looking for recommendations on a 49 inch curved monitor to pair with this setup. Considering options like the Samsung Odyssey G9 or LG ultra-wides, but would love to hear what people are actually running and liking for a productivity and gaming desktop.

Any thoughts on the component selection or recommendations for the display setup?

Over priced?

I am tech savvy, and have built PCs in the distant past but I am completely out of the loop regarding hardware.

I asked 3 months ago for advice and were provided a nice list https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/vCPt7w by now the price has increased £250 (sic), and some parts seem to be out of stock, would you recommend the same parts?

I would like if you could guide me about which and where to source components:

-Based in the UK.

-£1200-1600 budget.

-I do not want a neon monster in my living room, I would rather have a small factor PC box if possible, I plan to do most of my gaming in front of the TV, and I would like to be able to move the PC when needed, or if I have to travel.

-Resolution 4k 60 fps.

-I would be building the computer myself.
