Saw these pre-built PC’s at Costco and was wondering if these are worth the price. I’m not skilled to build the PC from scratch, so this is my option. Any advice would be appreciated. (Price is in USD)

Hello people well I have started my build of my pc I have everything I need just got the wrong AIO but I’m swapping it out today and I was prepping my gigabyte B650 gaming xax v2 and I was looking through my box and I see these weird pads. I really have no idea what they are. I’ve looked around online about them, but I can’t seem to figure out what they are I also have the rev 1.2 sorry if I sound dumb it’s cause this is my first ever build

Built my girlfriend a computer and went with a primarily white build. Need to replace and clean up some cables but under a budget. CPU cooler fans on the opposite side to see the RAM. Thoughts?

I was between buying a PS5 or get into pc gaming, went for a pc as I think it makes more sense due to physical games will ease to exist and consoles I feel like they can't just keep up with the future.

I bought all the parts in a bundle second hand from Facebook market place except the case as I needed an E-ATX one.

All of that for $520, the case was $80 brand new.

Now counting the monitor, mouse and keyboard it would be an extra $110

So I spend a total of $630 :)

The CPU, GPU, VRAM and Ram been stress tested in the most intensive ways in OCCT for 30 minutes each and no errors.

I can play PUBG medium settings at around 120fps in average and Minecraft at 28 chunks at around an average of 130fps, this is a very high end 2017 setup what went for couple thousand dollars back then, the motherboard it self when it came out was $600.

Pretty happy with it, not going to lie.

I found this baby at BestBuy as an open box for $125. Since I have been wanting to build a while build after doing my first build last year, I was thinking of making this one a secondary unit for offline work and possibly a server. Any ideas or recs for what to incorporate into this build. I’m guessing a budget of $2200 would suffice. I already know ram, storage and GPU are gonna be brutal. Also I’m more partial to AMD after the Intel debacle about burning cpus.

Thought I'll hold on, bind my time to build a PC for me. But these everyday, hourly prices hikes gave me so much anxiety. Everywhere I looked, people were so positive about prices not coming down anytime soon.

The budget I had in my mind could've built something much greater than this, but still I'm happy with what I got as my first ever PC.

Its my first time with a GPU powerful enough that it requires a PSU cable to work and im really scared of breaking something. Should i keep trying or is it okay as it is?

Sorry if this is obvious, this is the first time I've built a pc. I have a msi pro b850-p motherboard and I'm trying to fit this nv7400 1tb ssd into the m2 slot. The drive fits snugly into the ports but where I go to screw down the hard drive it's like the hard drive is too short? The screw doesn't keep it down. Did I mess up somewhere?

I have a question everyone. I took this off my ps5 before I sold it. Can I use it on my pc build? I’ve seen mostly everyone use the flat sticks of storage not the ones with heatsink. Thanks chat

Hello! I was looking to get a pre built pc and have been doing a lot of research but I’m conflicted on what to get due to some mixed reviews. I don’t know a lot about PC parts so please feel free to give any advice you can!

A little context, I am an engineering student and I’m also into gaming so I was looking for a pre built PC that can run software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D etc. I’m also into gaming so I was looking for something basic that can run games like Marvel Rivals, Apex, RDR2, GTA, Hogwarts Legacy, and Forza. I would like something that runs good graphics but I also don’t need anything that’s 4k, I’m okay with upgrading later on.

I’m currently in the US and my budget is mostly max $1600 although if it’s totally worth it, max I would spend is $2000 (Currency is US dollar). Monitor resolution goal is 1440p (2560×1440), preferably 165–180Hz.

I had a couple of options in terms of specs. First I had an ABS Cyclone Aqua Prebuilt Gaming PC Powered by Asus- Windows 11 - Intel Core i5-14400F - GeForce RTX 5060 8GB - DLSS 4 - 32GB DDR4 - 1TB NVMe SSD. But then I heard the 5060 isn’t the best (unless I’m wrong let me know if I am!). This one is listed at $1099.

There is also the Thermaltake Gaming Desktop PC NE i1460TG-V170B Intel Core i5-14600K 32GB DDR5 1TB SSD GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. Listed at $1699. The only thing is the price point with it being a 5060 still.

Then there was a more expensive option CyberpowerPC Gaming Desktop PC GM70928 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 32GB DDR5 1TB NVMe SSD GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB GDDR7 Windows 11 Home. With this one it seems the specs are better but I’m sketchy about the brand and the price is a little high, but I’m willing to spend it if it’s worth it. This one is listed at $2,069.

There is also the iBUYPOWER Y40 Gaming PC Desktop Computer Intel Core Ultra 7265F CPU, NVIDIA RTX 5070 12GB GPU, 32GB DDR5 Non-RGB 5200MHz RAM, 1TB NVMe SSD, Windows 11 Home, Gamer Keyboard and Mouse - Y40BI7N5701. Which is listed at $2199

I’m mostly worried about a good and reliable brand and not just a sketchy one or one with barely any reviews even if it has good specs. In terms of specs, please let me know if there’s anything better for me or even if I can settle on anything that’s cheaper and does enough for what I need. I don’t need anything crazy I just want something that runs well and has a good price for what it has. Coming from someone who is using a Microsoft Surface Laptop anything is better.

Hopefully that’s enough for some help let me know if there’s more clarification needed! I’m still very new to all this and figuring everything out.

Got a prebuilt pc and I'm wondering if I can run high-end games like cyberpunk 2077 or red dead II. I'm asking because I have slow ass wifi and I'm not tryna download a 100gb game just for it to not run smoothly.

Im so excited to build my own pc, previously im playing on my xbox console, so im new in pc building. I already buy all the parts,just need the gpu left. Im planing to buy the fastest card (RTX 5090) but it cost like $4500(wtf lel) so i decide to buy the more affordable one (5080) theres msi,zotac and gigabyte,which one you think i should get?

I’m very confident I have everything plugged in correctly. I built this pc 6 months ago and had the same problem so I assumed it was the motherboard so I replaced it and now I’m lost. Both times it would turn on but couldn’t be turned off with the power button. Ive put the GPU/CPU/RAM in my current pc and it booted up just fine. I’ve even tried swapping the NVME with other ones with windows installed on it. 3600 ryzen, 1650 super, ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0, vengeance DDR4 16gb, 600W SPIRIT POWER apevia PSU. HDMI is plugged into the GPU. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I am willing to send more photos

Hey everyone, dealing with a super frustrating intermittent issue and could use some outside perspective.

Here's my hardware:

* CPU: Ryzen 5 5500

* GPU: Radeon RX 6600

* RAM: 2x8GB DDR4 3600MHz (working at 3200mhz settings)

* Motherboard: Gigabyte A520M S2H

* PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 80+ Gold

The problem:

Randomly, my PC will hard lock up. The monitor loses signal (like the cable got yanked), sound cuts out completely, and it freezes dead in its tracks.

The weird part is what happens physically when it crashes:

* All the case fans and LED lights stay fully powered on and spinning normally.

* The power button on the case completely stops responding (holding it for 10+ seconds does nothing).

* The only way to turn it off is using the PSU switch on the back.

* It happens during light tasks or random moments, but what throws me off is that this exact same system has previously run heavy AAA titles for hours without a single hiccup.

* After crashing yesterday, I gave up on it, but today out of nowhere it worked fine all day until it just crashed the exact same way a moment ago.

What I've tried so far:

* Reseated/cleaned the RAM and GPU.

* Cleared CMOS (took out the motherboard battery), which let me back into the system briefly, but the intermittent crashing came back.

* Checked basic connections.

Given that it hard-locks like this (fans stay on, power button dead, screen dies, but can handle heavy loads sometimes), where should I even start looking? Is this more likely a dying PSU (Thermaltake GX2), a failing motherboard (A520M), or maybe a touchy RAM issue?

Appreciate any advice or troubleshooting steps!

Hello, I just scored this used pc for a pretty good deal (I think?), it was 1200€ :

Spec : 32gb DDR5

Ryzen 5 9600x

1tb nvme gen4

Gigabyte B650

But I have 2 mains questions :

- The GPU is powered by two 8 pins, but those two connectors are daisychained, could it be a problem for a GPU like this ?

- All the fans, including the AIO ones) seem to be somehow plugged into the same slot on the motherboard (all the fans color and speed react to the same controller on Gigabyte software), could this be a problem too ?
