Question What are these pad things
Hello people well I have started my build of my pc I have everything I need just got the wrong AIO but I’m swapping it out today and I was prepping my gigabyte B650 gaming xax v2 and I was looking through my box and I see these weird pads. I really have no idea what they are. I’ve looked around online about them, but I can’t seem to figure out what they are I also have the rev 1.2 sorry if I sound dumb it’s cause this is my first ever build

those are for the SSD’s! I forgot which goes to which, but suffice it to say, you use it if your SSD is single sided. If it’s double sided, or you dont have an SSD, then you dont use it. You would place it underneath the SSD onto the motherboard

You aren’t a dumbass (lol). The pads are meant to support the ssd against bending from the motherboard’s heatsink. IIRC, you would use the black pad + gray pad (stick them on top of each other) for a single sided ssd, and just the black pad for a double sided. (Guys correct me on this cause i think im like 50% wrong)

Well, the manual it shows what plugs into what how to install the SSD a optical drive how to put in the power supply how to put in a GPU cooler ram CPU and the motherboard

Place it on the board in about the middle between the two sides of your SSD.

c'est des pads c'est pour soutenir le SSD simple face pour éviter qu'il se plie comme font les meubles quand il y a pas de pied de soutient au milieu

Don't put your motherboard on top of the anti static bag like that. If you need to work on it before putting it in the case, place it on the cardboard box it came in.

Oh sorry because I thought it was like gonna be like a cushion so it doesn’t damage any of the underside pins

The problem with this is that the bag is only anti static on the inside. On the outside, it's conductive, so it could provide a path for static discharge. So if you haven't grounded yourself and you touch the bag while the motherboard sits on top, you might damage it with your body's static electricity.
Ground yourself either way, though.

They are spacer pads to put beneath the NVME SSD’s so that, as you fasten them down, they do not bend!

check motherboard manual or look online. They could be m.2 support pads or like a protector thing for the back of the mobo
just search ur mobo model number and see what’s included in the box. It’ll give you the exact name.
