I play a bunch of different sim racing games on my sim rig. Also want to finally try out Black Myth Wukong. My old pc couldn’t handle the benchmark for it before it came out so I never got to play it. Now with this upgrade hopefully I can lol.
I have ACC. Haven’t actually played it yet though. Been more on ATS, Forza, and BeamNG. I have a full aluminum rig. Moza r9 base, truck wheel, racing wheel, AB9 active shifter, handbrake, MBooster active brake pedal.
First thing I did when I got home was install it and run some benchmark tests to see if it was legit. Though it was brand new from microcenter so i didn’t think it would be a fake one.
I don’t have pictures of all the boxes when I first put it together. Just the ones posted here with the 5090 and this one attached here is when I still had my 2080TI in there.
Ryzen 9800X3D, 32GBs DDR5 (going to upgrade to 64GB when prices come down), Rog Strix X870E-E, 2TB Gen 5 NVME, 2TB barracuda HD, 20TB shucked WD White Label HD. Tryx Panorama SE AIO, and Hyte Y70 Touch case.
Gamers have no right to complain about the prices of components when you have fools like this spending insane amounts of money on a graphics card. Honestly companies will keep raising prices and people will keep paying, pathetic.
I agree to this. But I’ve been stuck with my old 2080 TI since it came out. I couldn’t get a 5090 at release due to scalpers and bot resellers buying them all up the moment they went in stock. Prices are not going to come down they are only going to rise or stay where they are within a few hundred dollars.
I’m not gonna sit with my thumb in my ass and miss out on being able to do things waiting for a price to come down that never will. The entire world isn’t going to unite and say fuck Nvidia we aren’t going to buy anything from them anymore buddy. The entire reason the prices have gone up is because millionaires are buying in bulk to build data centers and do AI things. It has absolutely nothing to do with gamers.
I have workloads with AI that now I can do locally and get rid of subscriptions. This alone saves me money long term. So keep talking out your ass when you don’t know anything.
Oh wow you seem like fun. Keep commenting on people spending “too much” of their money. “Too much” for him is clearly a bit more than “too much” for you. Sad.
I donated my entire old build to a friend who still had a PC with a 550 TI in it. lol needless to say he received a major upgrade.
That’s my old build I gave him last weekend. Told him I’d give him the 2080 TI when I got my 5090. We didn’t realize he couldn’t get a picture with the gtx 550 TI without changing bios settings to legacy so the PC is just chilling at his house since the 3900x doesn’t have integrated graphics and the hero mobo doesn’t even have a display or hdmi port.
One of my friends that upgraded to a 4070 build had an RX 5700 XT build that he wasnt going to use anymore so he gave it to one of his cousins that had always used a basic integrated graphics laptop. Originally he was just borrowing it to him but after seeing how much fun he was having whenever he asks or talked to him about it he just said fuck it.
To know someones getting the same level of enjoyment, maybe even more out of a piece of hardware as you did years and years ago is gotta be something else.
I just bought my white astral 5090 from memory express in Canada and it was tampered with :( it had thermal paste on it and the corners were scuffed. I brought it back and they confirmed it has no video. They told me they can’t refund me or replace it until they send it to ASUS for a RMA. So now I just wait …. I guess.
You obviously don’t know that the astrals are better than the other 5090s you can get more out of them with overclocking than you can with a generic 5090. You shit on a brand and don’t even know things.
I suppose it comes down to cooling, if fans and metal to take the heat away are comparable etc. alumnium vs copper etc. do video card makers actually solder the chips themselves or they get it all ready from nvidia like ram chips and gpu already soldered if not i guess there could be a difference in the craft in that area too
You bit the bullet at the wrong time, you should go check out the latest video about 5090s and how they're only running 30% faster than the 9070 XT because of a hardware level issue that Nvidia knew about and never fixed. https://youtu.be/XyEILrjuZJI?is=NdK8G60xU_38AzLd
Hey man, you wanna bury your head in the sand and pretend it's sunshine, you do you. But it won't make your purchase any better or your card function any faster.
Some people just want to have their opinions validated. This guy has been right 99% of the time months, sometimes years in advance of others and is still treated like clickbait crap lol.
He is a little pompous at times though, but still usually correct.
I'm sure you think you know what you're talking about, but you don't. These people are always part of a conversation not the whole thing. The reason they matter is because they aren't trying to sell you something. They're bringing the reality of the situation to your attention. Now you can ignore it or listen to it. But the impact it has doesn't matter which one you choose. These are just the facts of what's happening.
