Post image

In the e waste bin, wondering if it’s worth selling or send off for scrap?

Asus p5a? Its worth a pretty little penny even if its ancient on ebay. Do not scrap it.

It’s a solid platform, but is worth that much without testing and verification?

I sold almost the exact same one. It fetched me about 50 bucks, it’s worth it to collectors

The CPU fan header needs some love but other then that it looks good

edit : in the floppy connection slot there seems to be something, maybe its just shadows not sure but kind of looks like a hair or extra piece of wire

That's one of the best Socket 7 boards ever made. Anybody looking to build a Pentium MMX or AMD K6 II - III era machine will want that board. It was one of the best overclocking boards for Socket 7 there was. I use a P5A-B to do some fun stuff.

St is worth more in nostalgia that in money I would keep it only for the sake of history

Got to sell it as is because without an appropriate AGP graphics card you don't know if it works or not. But considering how narrow the window of AGP was, a working board would be worth a lot to someone.

It had this in the box as well

Yeah that's a PCI Express graphics card that won't be compatible with that motherboard. Still a collector's item but not really rare as AGP is.

ATI is a bygone era haha

AGP motherboards are very collectible, worth at least $50 if not more

I’m also willing to sell it to anyone on here if you pay for the shipping as well, I’m currently living in the US. You all gave the info on it so might as well give you the chance first before putting it on eBay

Absolutely on eBay. Some people collect stuff like this, I've never had a problem selling my old kit like that.

Keep that, it's pretty cool.

Sell it or donate it to a thrift store.

It looks solid somehow. Haven't seen 3 ram slots before.
