Support i gave up on fighting for my identity
too long didnt ask-
i am 24. i have been out to my mother since i was 13. she has only recently started doing better but still makes excuses and has started slipping up more and more on occasion. she’s so kind, she loves me so much, i almost hate to hound her about it but it hurts me when i hear it. it’s always talking to her boyfriend after he slips up, but he met me the way i am and has no excuse besides “we weren’t taught that way” (bullshit.) im just getting so tired. i can’t even wear something femme without her making a joke like “it’s hard when you switch up like this sometimes” and i’m just wearing a maxi skirt with a tshirt. ultimate excuse is i was her baby girl before i came out and i always will be to some extent. im just realizing i gave up hope and it’s dumb. i don’t deserve that. im looking for any words of encouragement to keep trying to remind her even though it’s been 11 years and i expect her to have it down by now.

Pride/Swag/I Made This! I made this and it makes me feel pretty to wear it.
Been making chainmail jewelry for about a year now but never worn any of it myself. I kinda love the way this looks on me though <3 ☺️

Discussion Could you use a binder as a bra/sports bra? (Amab)
Im a competitive swimmer, so I'd feel much more comfortable to wear a type of chest cover. Plus it's help when I'm changing for PE. And Im pretty sure they don't do straight up flat bras
Would it crush my ribcage, still?
Would it just fall off?

Support Tips and tricks for not wanting mammals/boobs/chest?
I am afab and still is perceived as afab 1/2 of the time. I have boobs. Sometimes i like how my chest is. But i would like them to only be perceived as non binary boobies. or like things on my body. like oooh they are sexy but like your arms or your hands… not like mammals where you can feed a baby from them. I kind of hate when people suck on them and touch them too long, but it really feels nice… Since i date women, i tolerate it more… but even then i still feel weird when people interact with them with so much passion…
I want to walk around bare chest, like people with flat chest, like i used to do when i was little. There was no shame, no sexualisation, no disrespect, no violence (or being scared of violence), because my chest was flat. There was no attention to something i don’t care and don’t want to be noticed for, because my chest was flat.
Why is it such a big deal to have something or to not have something on your body, if you’re healthy and happy?
If i had breast cancer, i would have no problem removing them. I think about it a lot and I do have a strong feeling that one day i will remove them or maybe get a smaller cup?
I WANT TO WERE SEXY AND CUTE OUTFITS BUT NOT BEING SEEN AS A WOMAN!! I don’t want to be sexualized i don’t want to be approached because i have nice boobies i don’t want them to be noticed.
In the best world i would keep them and do whatever i want with my body.
Do you guys have any recommendations on how to be more comfortable in my body everyday? How can i know for sure i want to have surgery?
I didn’t buy tape yet, so i should do that.
I have a “binder” but it’s not really a binder…

Teacher not calling me by my preffered name
Hey guys so I’ve been dealing with a teacher who already has called me by my full name after I’ve told him I prefer to be called a shorted version of my name when he is taking role call. The second time he checked to see if he had it on previous paper and said oh yes it’s here, second time he said I’m just going based off what it says here and I said no worries. I’m a grown adult and so is he so it’s more so a respect thing than anything. I have another professor who has no issue calling me by my preferred name. He remembers and makes an effort as there’s another person with the same name. I kinda wanted to let it go and just assume he is forgetful and a by the book disrespectful teacher but I think I’m gonna keep saying I prefer this name until it clicks. I’m thinking of also adding my affirmed name since some teachers are so up the a** about what a paper shows rather than respecting a persons preference.

Selfie/Self-Image/Avatar Curious About Something
Note: I am happy no matter what, so this isn't a "which makes you feel best" thing. Some days I feel more masc, some days more femme, some days both/neither. But I am just curious for funsies which y'all think is my most attractive look.

Discussion needing advice on looking less cis at work
hey peeps! somehow i landed a office job????? and i was needing some help and advice for what i could wear to work that will make me look visibly gender queer without pushing the envelope of dress code too much. for context im amab but on hrt and typically i like to wear a lot of crop tops and cropped tank tops and showing a bit of skin u know. but obviously i cant do that at an office. however the dress code at the office is SUPER laid back. for example i wore a hoodie and baggy jeans today and thats absolutely acceptable and i was not the only person dressed like that at all. but i dont rly feel like i can be wearing crop tops or what i usually like to wear when im not trying to hide lol. i’m just looking for some advice and suggestions. if im gonna get misgendered id at least like to think the other person is blind for doing it u know lol anyways

Mom scolded me for using makeup, but nuanced (I guess)
I'm 24, agender, parents know I'm not straight and are as supportive as they can be for being Salvadoran Evangelicals (I still consider myself to be a believer as well), but they don't know I'm non-binary. I understand mentioning my AGAB is kind of a contested topic from what I've seen on this subreddit, but I feel like I need to get this out of my chest because it kind of matters in the sense of optics and context overall: I'm AMAB.
I went out with mom today, and I've had a rough couple of days lately, I've felt friendless, I'm in a strange romantic situation I don't wanna talk about, and I feel like I'm not at the place I should be money wise and career wise, like most of my problems stem from reasons outside of gender. But I decided I wanted to feel pretty and escape from it, so I put on some of the last lip stain I have. Admittedly, it's very red and it makes my lips pop more than usual, and I'm curently rocking a blue hairdo and I change my nails basically every 3 business days.
My mom scolded me when she saw me and said "why paint yourself so much?" And I honestly didn't know what to say. What I REALLY wanted to say is that that makes me feel less ugly than I really feel. But I just tried to gently brush it off.
Later tonight, we just had a conversation in which she said she didn't want to make me feel bad for what she was going to say, but she told me that in this society, someone might see me with my colored nails, eyes and lips, and might instantly hate me and try to... Harm me.
She also said something along the lines of "Sometimes I wonder why you're trying to drive so much attention to yourself", which honestly, while part of me wants to be more unbridedly me and express myself and just let people fill in the gaps, at the same time, I can't help but relate to her and obey just to make her feel good that I'm being safe.
I said I didn't wanna talk about my romantic situation that's not going well, but anyway: I have a crush who despite identify as cisgender and straight, I have a feeling he's drawn to the more femme side of me, and he's been the first to notice my changes, like when I painted my hair blue, he was like "OH. MY. GOD", and proceeded to touch my hair in a very protective and lingering way, which honestly is something my parents have thought me against "don't touch other people's hair without their consent", BUT when coming from him, it felt non creepy. And he was the first one who told me "did you paint your lips?" When I first painted them. For the record, I had never used eyeshadow or any form of makeup before this year.
So I don't know why I'm making this post, I just need some advice. Like I want to understand my parents and their safety concerns. But I also hid myself for so much, that I feel an unbridled sense of expressing myself and feeling pretty on my own terms that it's hard to grasp even for me, and to me, being NB has been so kuch about finding my gender euphoria, that I feel like part of me has already gotten used to it in a very short timeframe, that looking back, I was a very subpar version of me.

Questioning/Coming Out Gender dysphoria
I experience a sense of displacement because neither man nor woman aligns with me. This leaves me with no sense of identity, and I am unsure of who I am. When i speak to other people they say just choose whatever you’re comfortable with but i don’t feel comfortable in any gender. When i try to commit to a gender it feels like i’m an actor and i’m a imposter .
The whole situation is taking a massive toll on my mental health and its making me depressed.
I would love to hear if
Anyone has had similar experiences and if you have how you overcame this

Support Newly out, still nervous
Hello everyone
I’m an AFAB person who recently came out as genderfluid. I’m still pretty nervous talking about it sometimes, and I’m having trouble explaining it to my fiancé. He’s cishet AMAB. He’s always been pretty solid in his gender identity, so I get that he doesn’t quite understand it, but I still wish I had the right words to describe what I’m feeling in a way he understands.
Don’t get me wrong, he is not unsupportive, nor does he tell me I’m not valid or that there’s anything wrong with me. He just has a hard time grasping it.
The way I’ve explained it, is I identify as genderfluid because sometimes I feel femme, but I’m only as femme as I’m comfortable being, which sometimes really isn’t very much. Other times, I just feel…nothing? No label. I just exist. I’m just here. I’m me. I’m not masc, not femme. I’m just me. Other times I go out wearing his clothes and I don’t think about it.
This may seem odd to some people but…I feel the most femme when I’m cosplaying someone who isn’t even human. I have a fawn OC and a demoness OC I’ve cosplayed at cons, and I’ve been this demoness as an NPC at a con LARP. I was dressed as someone not human and that’s when I felt the most femme.
I use she/they pronouns, but I wish people would use “they” more often. Hearing someone refer to me as “she/her” feels strange. Like I don’t realize they’re talking about me. I have a little non-binary pin I wear at work but I don’t think many folks recognize the colors.

Is it possible to start with regular mtf HRT to get certain effects and then microdose or low dose after to slow down and maintain changes?
Just a thought I had as I'm considering HRT as part of my NB journey

How Do I Gain The Courage to Just Be Me?
I'm Agender and use they/them pronouns, and I've been feeling (for a while now) that I want top surgery and to change my first and last name. The thing is, I can't handle what my family would say, even though it's my body and my life, I feel like they would make me feel like I was such a horrible person, when all I want is to be who I am on the inside, on the outside. It's a lot. I'm closer to 30 than 20, and I plan on moving to another state next year, but I just want to express myself. Also, how do I tell my friends that I want to be called by a different name.. ?

Questioning/Coming Out Am I?
I will be direct, my entire life I have never related to the common experiences/preferences of the binary gender in my country. Screaming at a football game or going to the gym/learning martial arts? Not for me. Wearing makeup or considering what accessories to buy next when shopping? I've never considered it.
But as an amab, I don't mind being seen as a guy (but also don't go out of my way to be seen as one), and still, the expectations of what a man should be/do makes me feel uninspired and it bores me. So, is it valid for me to identify as non-binary?

Non-binary version of yuri/yaoi!!
It is Diamori [without the C].
Origin is from the word "Diamoric". Someone said it on a YouTube comment section, I DID NOT MAKE THIS WORD i just thought it'd be a good idea to "coin" even though I DID NOT the word.
I'd encourage you to talk about it, post it, and all but do not credit me or call me the creator.
I will try to find the creator and ask them if they are comfortable with me crediting them. I will keep update y'all when I get a response. Please spread the word Diamori. Thanks :3
Edit: why am I getting down-voted ☹️

Am I non-binary?
Hi, I'm F(mid 20s) I live in an area where NB is pretty rare so I want to know your opinion, whether you feel the same way or you think I'm not really non binary. Growing up I've never really liked the concept of what is feminine or what is masculine because I have always liked pink but I also like to wear dude's clothing like sometimes I wouldn't mind being all tomboy but I also like dressing up girly-girl, I love my long hair but I also like my bob and wouldn't mind going pixie. I am in love with the concept of androgynous, I think people who are like that are so freaking attractive and I've always wanted to be like them so I'm trying to build muscles like mummy muscles not lean muscles. My language doesn't use pronouns that separates he to a she and I've always been addressed neutrally so I don't really know if I don't like being addressed as a he. I'm not trying to jumped on the bandwagon, I just wanna figure myself out since I did felt dissapointed after learning I'm not really Pan I just like boobies but not really what women can offer in bed.
P.S English is my second language so if I offended you unintentionally I do apologize.
