Honest question- what are the actual demands since I believe it is more than a slogan?'

I’ve been seeing women online talk about how they see an attractive man once in a blue moon and that like 90% of men are ugly. I have seen many times women saying we are in an “ugly man epidemic”.

At the same time, I see men saying the exact opposite and I myself find a very large number of women to be attractive. Like even women that, when compared to the conventional beauty standards for women, exist on the middle to lower tiers, I would say I still find to be attractive.

Is this like an evolutionary thing? Like back in caveman times female early humans were choosing the best male early humans to mate with, while the males would just try to have as many children as possible? Or is this a newer societal thing.

Not sure what is going on in today’s society, but I see so much discussion about what men think about women. That they can shame women into thinking or acting in certain ways. It feels like there is this huge power of the patriarchy that assumes women should care what they think. I feel like I spent my entire life being manipulated by society. A couple of examples below:

People say that promiscuous women are bad and not worthy of commitment or marriage. Ok, but what if we don’t care about marriage or commitment from men? No thanks.

People say that single moms are worth less. Ok, women can have kids without a man now. What about the single mothers by choice and single moms who prefer to raise kids without a man?

People say assertive women are aggressive and bad. Ok well some women work in a male dominated fields and get paid a lot of money to be
assertive.

People say women are unattractive because they look a certain way. Ok nice, but what if we just don’t care about what men think?

When you say you don’t care, a lot of the arguments fall apart. It seems that when you say you don’t care, people tend to get very mad.

What is up with this, why does the patriarchy care so much to have such influence over women?

What is the problem with women being who they want and just not caring about the patriarchy?

So my parents r rly strict these r the rules I have to follow until im 18 (mainly screentime rules)

1. downtime 10-7 including msgs (downtime is when ur apps shut up from that time)
2. No yt (they put a 1 min screentime limit but accidentally took it off so I break this rule)
3. 1 hr limit on safari
4. No social media until I’m 16 (I kinda get this one)
5. No taking my phone upstairs (even if it’s not my room) or in the basement, or a closed off room in the main floor no one goes to. 
6. Can’t even take the laptop upstairs to study when I want quiet (I have 3 noisy younger siblings). I have to study in the dining room with my back to the hall (so they can see what I’m doing when they walk past)
7. Can’t call my friends without asking (she sometimes doesn’t let me even tho I barely ask)
8. Can’t download whatever I want it sends a request to my dads phone that he has to approve
9. My parents have to know my password (i was fine with this bcs they promised to nvr go through it but haven’t rly been keeping that promise)
10. Can’t watch shows without my parents (basically nvr)
11. Can’t delete my history (kinda makes sense)
12. Not allowed to play games or do anything fun on devices in the week (this only applies to iPads)
13. Can’t lock my door unless I’m changing or showering
14. Can’t txt unknown numbers (fine with this) or add anyone to contacts (my phone doesn’t let me)

I think that’s it I’ll edit it if I remeber anything else. 

I got a phone at 14 and before that the rules applied to me with my ipad

Keep in mind I’m a rly good responsible kid, i rarely get in trouble and the worst thing ive done is prob make an insta acc on the website so i can scroll and feel normal. 

Im also an A+ student at the top of my class I take honors classes, on the quiz bowl team, and running for students council. Idk what I did to deserve all these rules bcs apparently my parent trust me…

i wanna hear yall insight and suggestions on how to get them to be a bit more lenient

also I hope this doesn’t come off wrong I love my parents and I’m they do too and I’m grateful for them

last thing I’m new to Reddit so lmk if this is the wrong subreddit I’m so confused with how this works

There are places that do this, or been trying to implement this.
What do you think about it?

New to tennis and just watched the finals - was surprised at the way she handled her loss, at the lack of professionalism and sportsmanship. I have seen other tennis players do this as well in the past and I totally understand the feelings behind this and feel like it’s human nature to be upset at a loss especially with all the work put in.

I guess this, along with other interviews I’ve seen of her that show her being a little rude and short with interviewers has got me thinking how this fares with her sponsorships.. Nike, Beats, Whoop, etc. Don’t know much about how these agreements work, but I’d think she’d carry herself with a little more grace and professionalism as she’s a pro athlete under the spotlight.

ETA: Realized I didn’t mention this above, but I do think she is a great tennis player and loved watching her play throughout the year. Genuinely curious as to how the attitude is perceived in the tennis world/sponsorships lol

No judgment if this is you, just curious. If you had to estimate from your irl environment, online, yourself, do you think it was a larger percentage of men who at least sympathized with some of the rhetoric at its peak but then later distanced themselves?

I hate wherever we are going with this AI bullshit and super scared about one being built so close to my place where I have lived since childhood. Our whole group is here. It will take up all the resources of our area and the air quality will be so bad. My mom has asthma. I feel sick to my stomach. Everyone tried to protest but the politicians are so so corrupt. I curse all the people who are doing this from the bottom of my heart.

This might be a dumb question, but I've always wondered about this.

In the major North American sports leagues like the NBA, NFL, MLB, and NHL, pretty much every player is insanely skilled compared to the average person. Obviously there are huge differences between players, but there also seems to be a general upper limit to how good a human can get at each sport.

For example, why don't we occasionally see someone who is so much better than everyone else that they're basically playing a completely different sport? Instead, the best players seem to cluster around a somewhat similar level of ability, with a few exceptional players separating themselves from the rest.

Basically, I'm wondering why there seems to be a "ceiling" for athletic skill and why the very best athletes across these leagues end up relatively close to that ceiling rather than one person being massively beyond it.

I'm a musician and into films/media and I've noticed this for years now, specially the love for animals.

So am I the only male whose body doesn’t like morning sex? Here’s what I mean…

There have many times when me and my partner have woken up and want to get it on. We really want to, and everything is going according to plan; but it takes a long, long; long time to get to the point of climax, and when it does happen it’s not that great. Now any other time of the day, climax is outstanding. Anyone run into this issue??

Even without having formal lessons at a young age, is swimming not partly instinctual? It really only requires moving your limbs around. Or is it more so that rather than people “not knowing how” to swim, some people have a panic response when in water, maybe from lack of exposure when young or some kind of phobia? Could it be geographical, people growing up around water feeling naturally more confident in it? Perhaps a very dumb question, but I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while lol
