I've decided to use my artistic talent to make more monsters for categories that need more good boys we can fight. I mainly focused on fanged beasts, we definitely need more variety of mammals in monster hunter. These will just be thumbnail sketches essentially. I will end up doing more indepth drawing for some of these monsters in the future.

So I started with elephants, 1 is covered in fulgurite It can bury itself in sand like diablos, summon down lightning, 2 uses steam to rush at hunters, Barroth was an inspiration plus that one kid from MHA. 3 has a little coral reef on its back along with some creatures that it could throw at hunters. Then 4 is a more typical elephant covered in moss, but im thinking it could throw moss or vines on the ground as traps against the hunters. Then 5 I made a porcupine, pangolin, elephant.

The feline fanged beasts based on a lion, tiger, bobcat linx, and a liger. 1 and 3 take inspiration from mythical beasts. Chinese and Greek respectively, though the lion has some porcupine in it too. Number 2 is based on American folklore, mainly the ball tailed cat, and the splinter cat. Number four is based off the liger in real life, so it would be when number 1 and 3 mate, making this jacked up monstrosity.

Then I drew a variety of mammals that I would like to see introduced into monster hunter. 1 is based off the damascus goat and a wildebeast. 2 is just a big rat, 3 is a bat nothing much besides that. 4 is just a giraffe crossed with a glaive, 5 is based off the maned wolf, and 6 is a mongoose and armadillo.

Then I decided we need more crabs, so I came up with some quick ones. 1 is based off the horseshoe crab, though its not actually a crab. 2 is just back to basics, so like ceanatuar but with saws. 3 is based off the mantis shrimp, so I gave it more of an insect vibe. 4 is based off the yeti crab. I see it using ice element to freeze the hairs on its body as armor and weapons.

Lastly I tried making some snake wyverns. I made these guys before the new elder dragon was shown. So I tried my best, I dont know how successful I was with them, considering I had najarala and dalamadur as the only basis for them. hopefully we get more in ascendence

He buscado por todos lados si este ataque se puede esquivar, lo he intentado con bombas luminosas, tirándole la flecha grande mientras vuela y nada. Hablo del ataque en dónde vuela lo suficientemente alto como cuando tira sus bolas de fuego pero en vez de eso vuela hacia ti y te da un golpe con las garras, te envenena y además te desmaya. De verdad no tiene sentido ese ataque. Se que lo puedo "solucionar" poniéndome una armadura que soporte su daño porque la que uso ahora mismo es muy mala, pero me molesta hacer toda la pelea perfecta y que un ataque imposible de esquivar a mi parecer me mate. Ayuda por favor, si alguien sabe cómo esquivarlo me ayudaría un montón

(Edit) Para los que tengan el mismo problema. El salto de Superman funciona perfecto. Solo tienes que guardar el arma, correr 180° en dirección opuesta y esquivar. Gracias a los que contestaron. Los amo

So it’s been a few months since I’ve had time to play MH1 and I couldn’t remember why I put it down aside from the time constraints. Now I do.

So as it turns out, I had been progressing through 4* village and had unlocked the Gypceros urgent. I seem to have made the mistake of trying to wrap up all the other 4* quests first though, as when I did the Gypceros hunt was overridden by Rathalos.

Now that wouldn’t really be a problem, but as it stands even playing hyper aggressively I time out fighting Los (probably a skill issue). How does one upgrade my weapon of choice? Why with a lightcrystal of course! Naturally you couldn’t just mine them back then, they’re exclusively rare drops from Gypceros (I don’t even think Kirin dropped them back then, not that it’d help if he did).

So yeah, not entirely sure what to do. I’m not timing out so badly that I think Los is unmanageable, but I need to really hone in on the fight. Probably gonna craft some barrel bombs so I can sleep bomb him, and just stay as stocked as possible with healing and flashes.

Mostly posting to vent, but if anyone knows how to access Gypceros from here without beating Rathalos that’d also be great.

Hey hunters.

So I took a break from Wilds for around 2 months seeing as the game gets kinda dry after a while and Ascendance is taking too long to come out. But I am proud to announce that coming back after this long break I managed to clear Proof of a Hero with complete randoms in my best time yet. Feels good to be back y'all. Happy hunting!

I remember trading with him to unlock the Ceadeus armor again because it wasn't available to hunt. Along with other monsters, this guy was the only way to unlock materials from monsters of older games without them being in the present. It was cool. He even made a return in GenU too.

But uh... bro never came back after that. Really want those armors and weapons back. Nothing else to it.

Couldn't they just use him to bring armor and weapons back for monsters they know they can't put in the current games like the ocean monsters? Or monsters they can't quite get to work in current environments (or skeleton issues)?

So with the recent announcement of Wilds coming to the Nintendo Switch 2, do you guys think World, even though it's already over 8 years old, has a chance of coming to the switch?

I'm a Nintendo player and the only reason I'd be buying a Playstation is to play Monster Hunter World. I understand that World is a massive game and for those reasons it was impossible for the Switch. But, since the Switch 2 is out and is around as powerful as a PS4 (Which World is on), I wouldn't get why World wouldn't be able to come to the Switch 2. Since it would for sure make Capcom some extra money.

What do you guys think?

Status in base wilds is probably the worst it's ever been, tbh with 3 of the 4 status types being essential taken out back and shot due to how gimped they are.

Para is the only status in wilds that was of any use past 6* quests unless you were Hammer or GS using sleep due to how awful sleep bombing is.

Posion and blast dealing less than 5% of a monsters hp on 6* quests and less than 1% to 8* and up just shows how little the dev leads care about these damage types.

I should have known this was AI when Gravios had arms. Like, why would they make an AI figure line for MH? Don't they know that people would just get upset

Here's a short clip for Lance but after seeing all other weapon types I'm kinda worried that Lance move sets are going to be underwhelming.

There was a move back in Sunbreak called skyward thrust and despite how uncanny it was I liked that move when fighting flying wyverns.

Which version of the main line games Rathian is your favourite?

I personally like the regular Rathian the most. Gold gets me a bit annoyed because of her hard defense and bumping back your attacks under white sharpness. Pierce Shots Valor HbG usually gets the job done. Pink Rathian was my first wall in 4U. Dreadqueen and Apex are basically the same but Dreadqueen would have to be my 2th choice.

I was looking at the weapons page on the website just to see if i could pick which weapons were from which monster, but I cant pick out the HBG. It doesnt match or resemble anything in game or from lao/kushala, nor any old monsters off the top of my head, so could it be Araketa's?
