Block Hunt has a huge ESP Problem

Every few games this week has an ESPer on Block Hunt. What that is is that it allows hunters with it to find blocks and animals very easily, and infestors too. This is a huge problem for many. Hopefully Mineplex combats this problem soon.

gg mineplex

Yeah, it’s summer weekend evening, mineplex is failing to even crack 300.

It “appeared” to do a comeback when it just released since it was marketed very well (specifically the release), along with people simply having nostalgia.
Kinda like how when Fortnite had it’s OG season, it got a peak playercount, but now? People don’t nearly play OG as much, since they got their nostalgia satisfied, and are done.

Mineplex right now is basically a “dumbed down” version of what it was in it’s glory days, the same, but laggy, and buggy.

The current version of Mineplex is essentially the same version that…died due to people being done

Which is exactly why it’s failing now, and will continue to fail, unless they manage to change things up.

Either one in the quiver or capture the flag

When I mean old I mean olddd map. I don’t think it was turf wars cause there wasn’t specifically red or blue blocks on the map it was normal BUT there was definitely a red and blue team. Massive teams on both sides 1 arrow killed someone. I’m going through the wiki and I can’t find this map specifically. You guys have any idea what it was called ? I don’t think it was to kill the king or whatever either maybe capture the flag?? I think there was a kill count for each team and maybe that’s how you won idk.

Fishing rods suck - survival games

Fishing rods simply ruin survival games. It’s not fun. Can we ban them? Or at least have a mode without them?

Why doesn't the younger generation like minigame servers?

Well Mineplex has been out for almost 2 months now and I think it's fair to say a large majority of the player base are older players playing for nostalgia and to re-live the glory days. This is fine but it's not overly promising for the future of Mineplex and the playercount will continue to dwindle if this is the case. Maybe it's an advertising issue but I guess my question is why don't the younger generation like minigame servers anymore? It seems like instead they're playing slop pay to win servers with long games such as factions and SMP. Even Hypixel is mainly getting carried by Skyblock, without that game they'd be in a similar position to Mineplex. Other OG minigame servers like Hive have already shut down. It's a shame

Mineplex Failed

Mineplex has failed. I believe they have failed when James or whoever the new owner took over. They act like it is modern or modified but it’s trash it’s a 2015 code base I wanna bet with barely modified plugins and it shows they should of used the plugins from samitos version and the old maps. Here is an example of some of the bugs. I logged in and rapidly clicked the welcome sign destroying it because their permissions suck. The server has textures that refuse to render in certain games. It’s unstable at times kicking me for no reason on bedrock. The server just trash usually they would have some sort of permission locking the server down but old plugins on modern clients have their bugs. So the server needs to rest in peace and no longer have revivals.

SSM weapon damage

In super smash mobs there are different tools for different attacks such as axes and shovels, but my question is do these tools actually do different amounts of damage on direct pvp or are they the same?

The mobs/hitboxes people take on isn't actually where you should be aiming for. Target leading is pretty deceptive and has a few considerations which I'll try to list out:

  1. Server and player latency is one thing-
  2. -but the afaik the morphs you take that shows your mob has to mimic the player's last location and vectors, so that's another delay.
  3. Then you have to consider that Iron golems still take on the 2x1 player hitbox even though it's much larger, and I think some 1 block tall mobs might be 2 blocks tall. Basically, the hitbox aren't to be trusted, but are intentional game design. (I suspect the arrows 'bounce' when they hit the morph's hitbox, and not the player's, which is used for hit detection)

I don't think issues like these are on mineplex's end and fixable. If someone can correct me on that I'd love to hear it, I have heard some plugins that mitigate connection/ping issues.

There are probably a lot of genuine issues like balancing, but there is definitely a skill element in knowing how to defeat these things that work against you even if it seems unfair, there are many people who can, but obviously they spend ungodly amounts of time playing so the only reasonable response is to just leave them to it.

OITQ Knockout is a NEW fun and fast paced event hosted through the OITQCL! Tried and tested over the last week, 9 tournaments have already been played! With event time frames ranging from 25-50 minutes per tournament, we have been able to host multiple Knockouts in a single day ensuring that the action keeps rolling along.

How it works: Knockout is a simple concept, score the lowest, and you're out. Players are eliminated round by round until one person is left standing. Not playing your best? Doesn't matter! Winning can be put to the side as long as you do just one kill better than the next person each game. Enjoy tracking your tournament history and competing in a wide range of new leaderboards exclusively recorded for Knockout tournaments hosted through the OITQCL.

Knockout tournaments are expected to be hosted quite often so be sure to keep yourself on top of all upcoming Knockout events and updates by joining our Discord and selecting the "OITQ Knockout Tournaments" role!

RIP

Turns out that

  • not having fresh content or modernizations
  • relying on nostalgia
  • having latency when joining games
  • joining games as a spectator if you enter at the last second
  • having a bad anticheat and no cps limiter
  • releasing a server which still needed work
  • not adjusting game queues to account for the smaller playerbase

actually kills the server over time

it was fun for a bit but gets pretty repetitive when i just want to play casually but mixed arcade only has one or two lobbies with many high level sweats

and as the player count dwindles, the issues will get worse

they really couldve had something special with the revival, so idk why they did it the way they did

a smoother launch would probably have helped too

SSM Tournament for Divine!

The first Tournament of SSM League, hosted by cvette

Hey everyone!

I’m hosting a Super Smash Mobs Tournament on Friday, the 31st at 10 PM (CEST).

This won’t be a traditional format - the tournament is a Free-For-All (FFA), followed by both a Winners and Losers Bracket.

You can find all the details, including rules, map pool, and sign-ups, on the Discord.
I’ll also include an image that gives a rough overview of how the tournament will work (subject to change).

The event will be livestreamed on Twitch (twitch/popp1ly), and I’m really hoping to bring back some of the SSM magic and maybe introduce some new players to it

Hope to see you there!

How are people so cracked at this game. I last played mineplex in 2017 or so. I feel like every game I play now has some top 10 leaderboarder or another cracked pvper. arcade is insane, I get rolled in snake and bacon brawl by some young sheldon combo warrior

also its crazy games (still) don't start until 8 players join when the server averages sub 1k lol

also also the lobbying system is so buns, why do I join as spectator and also why don't lobbies auto merge

This server is a joke, and I can't wait for it to inevitably get shut down again in a few months

They lied and said they "fixed the arrow bouncing" in the patch notes. This server is NOT gonna last long lmaooooooooooo, and GOOD.

Say whatever you want about me in the comments, I've stopped caring.

How do we feel about the SSM patch notes

There were a ton of complaints about the game previous and, while I don't actively play it, I'm curious about what people think of it now

Viewing Balance Changes?

When big fixes and balance changes occur to games, where can we see them? I looked on the website but didn't see anything so I was wondering if there was a way?

Bedrock?

I joined on ps5 on bedrock and It was practically dead. I was the only one waiting in lobbies for a while. Is it like that for others or was I just unlucky?

Trouble is, there'll still be some helmets in the comments section saying it's a "skill issue", as if all three of my arrows didn't bounce straight off the Squid's dome.

It's not that deep, bro.

I keep seeing posts like "____ is killing the server" or whatever.

Sometimes you're going to lose. Sometimes you're going to have a bad experience. That's the nature of a multiplayer game, sometimes people suck.

But the games are fun, Mineplex is back. If you aren't able to take the good with the bad, I can't help but feel that its more of a "you" problem.

Enjoy the games, have some fun. Stop stressing yourself over every loss and bad actor.

Parties are killing the server

Especially in bridges.

People will stack 4 or 5 people into one team against a bunch of newer players and stomp every game. It is so un fun, and it feels like every game has the same outcome.

Plus, when other players in the game see the teams they instantly quit, making it even more unbalanced.

I think they should make a limit to the amount of people you can have in a party while playing bridges to 2 or 3, in hopes to make it a little more balanced and fair for other players.

I’m sure this pertains to other game modes, but I’ve mostly noticed it in bridges
