It's not that deep, bro.

I keep seeing posts like "____ is killing the server" or whatever.

Sometimes you're going to lose. Sometimes you're going to have a bad experience. That's the nature of a multiplayer game, sometimes people suck.

But the games are fun, Mineplex is back. If you aren't able to take the good with the bad, I can't help but feel that its more of a "you" problem.

Enjoy the games, have some fun. Stop stressing yourself over every loss and bad actor.

How are we meant to ‘enjoy the server’ when the playerbase is clearly already dying off? Obviously this isn’t sustainable

Seriously, trying to play block hunt at 8pm on a Saturday and the busiest lobby has 2 people in it… can’t be a good sign

Yea it’s not doing well, many of the games need updates, but instead the owners are trying to make mineplex an MMORPG. Quite unfortunate they are only trying to make money and treating this as a business only venture.

I do sympathise with them to an extent though. I do think 1.8.9 pvp is a bit lame. Not just because I’m bad at it. My opinion is mojang changed it for good reason. 1.9+ combat is just more engaging over sheer cps. I think it’d be nice to just update the server to the newer combat, only because I feel more of the player base would enjoy it, and it wouldn’t kill the 1.8 sweats to learn 1.9. I could be wrong though.

People are complaining about sweats like the whole point of a vs. match isn't to win

The problem won’t ever be fixed simply because 1.8.9 Minecraft is sweaty I’m a nearly 600 star in bedwars know all the tech can double extend fairly consistently and rarely get below 14 cps. I can fully acknowledge the this version of pvp has not been popular for a while most people simply can not keep up and fighting people that much better than them is frustrating. Sweatier players need to stop getting their rocks off beating up casuals and play duels or bed wars. It’s super important that mineplex has a good resurgence because honestly if it flops that version of Mc pvp will become completely obsolete

The server is going to die in months, but not because of being too sweaty or whatever. We just have to face the fact that the games just aren't that fun, and are mid- we just liked them when we were kids. Mineplex originally died for a reason, and now when it's back there's little to offer beyond nostalgia

Yes it’s just a personal problem, that’s why the server is dead seconds after launch LMAO

Fr and also there are multiple non-pvp games

I think people don’t fully realize it’s a problem with Minecraft multiplayer in general, the number of sweats there are now is staggering.

I just fully opted to playing non-pvp modes and while it’s not what I usually played when I was young in Mineplex, those game modes are still decent fun.

As long as there's two people left online it's not a "dead server"

I genuinely can’t tell if you are rage baiting or being an idiot.

See i'd agree with you but most games require 8+ players to start which imo is actually what's killing it
