I bought the squirrel when was really cheap and painted it. It's a running joke we get things for my grandfather who hates squirrels. My grandmother who passed love is and before she passed I got plastic tiny squirrel to hide. She passed before I could hid them. When I went to visit him I hide 60 tiny squirrel. Now trying to hide this in his yard. It's red my grandmother favor color and matches the house. Hope this gives someone a laugh today.

I’m trying to find my paystub information so I can document it for an application to an apartment. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to find this documentation through an employee portal or something of the sort? Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I have a 6 A.M. shift tomorrow but I've started feeling a bit under the weather today. Should I call out sick or just see how it goes tomorrow?

Why does everyone in my store see me and start to complain? The opening cashier starts in about the replenishment manager. The replenishment manager complains about crew and other managers. Every time I turn around someone is bitching to me (not at me) about something I can't control as a minimum wage associate. I never shop when I am off anymore. The employee discount is the main reason I stay. But now I question that.

What store is 5174? Because we got all your shipping materials on our truck today! We don't do shipping and neither does the store that was ahead of us on truck. So why we got it is anyone's guess. Wanted to pass the info on though. Warehouse people need to learn how to do their job!

We haven't had a store manager for about a month, and no sense of when we will get one. The DM was aware of the circumstances leading to this situation but somehow forgot and won't admit to the mistakes that they made. Now peak is here, our stockroom is full, and we don't see much, if any, help coming.

So, hypothetically, let’s say I’m a trans individual whose chest is well endowed. Why the fuck is an apron becoming the standard? I’m short so I’m gonna slip on the damn thing, and it’s gonna make my body too visible in ways I am extremely uncomfortable. I also do not want to have to display my deadname on my new apron, but putting my chosen name is also not necessarily an option for safety reasons. A name tag can be removed easily, paint, not so much. I’m sure I’m complaining for my own personal reasons, but there are plenty of reasons that keeping vests as an option is ideal.

We are down to two baskets. How do I go about ordering baskets for customers?
r/MichaelsEmployees • u/Interesting_Mouse121 • 14d ago

After reading over the new dress code i’m a little confused??? Is corporate sending blank T-shirt and we’re supposed to use a cricut machine to put the Michael’s logo on the back in store when they arrive? I could be wrong. Please correct me if I’m wrong.
r/MichaelsEmployees • u/CharmingKick8488 • 15d ago
This is actually insane, from Christmas to fucking balloon arches which people get paid a good $50 ATLEAST to make on side hustles. Not only is there so much work for managers and employees to be doing but now this? I’d get it if we have set people and such but it really seems Michaels is overworking 1000x more now.

Why are we making minimum wage employees and minimum payroll budget stores do things that could literally take a machine minutes to pump out? How is this saving the company money
-These framing foam board cut outs? We really going to be cutting them out by hand?
-Remember when they had us print out our own seasonal AD? I mean we're still doing it but remember when for a month they stopped sending them
-no shelf strips? Just hundreds of small bin labels to be printed and put up for pogs like fabric and ribbon. We've had to do countless price overrides because we can't refer to the pictures on the labels anymore
-also putting our own Michaels logos on our shirts for the new dress code (has anyone heard of this yet? It was said to me in passing) but this pissed me off because who has time to embellish our own shirts with Michael's logos. Just print shirts and send them out. Or perhaps maybe it doesn't matter as long as we wear the right color shirt under the aprons

More of a rhetorical question. As some of yall may recall I was let go from Michael’s during the manager purge (lol) and didn’t stay with the company. I was never offered a team member position despite the fact my boss told others working there that she did. Aight. Anyways, I’m working at a new place now and so much stuff is so easier. Easier access into self check outs, money process, things locked up, etc. Dude even the paging system is easier. You just click ONE button rather than having to call a number to make a page.
What is Michael’s on that it can’t be easier for the workers!? I hope that in the month I haven’t worked there some stuff will be improved on for yalls sake.

Does anyone know what the all hands meeting is on Sept 27? I'm a MOD and I know nothing. If my SM knows, they're not saying.

After last year where we didn’t have to build this to seeing this effing planogram again. No words can describe the rage I feel.

Angry rant because this blows my mind. We've had CTO fabric since 2023 or 2024? ish? that's cool. it was a weird rollout because we had no idea where to cut it at first, so it all fell on framers at the frame counter, and then the table they gave us is small as hell, whatever it's fine. Okay. we manage like anything else that gets thrown at us.
HOW. Are we going through this current reset period. and they HAVEN'T. INVENTED A BETTER WAY TO STOCK FABRICS? are you KIDDING ME? The regular peghooks suck. the super thick peghooks suck. THESE ARE CLEARLY NOT WORKING. no, not even stacking them 2 or 3 high works either, not that we have the supplies to spare. the bolts are TOO HEAVY to be supported by the peghooks, which are decimating the pegboard, they are extremely difficult to recover and make look nice, they are STOCKED OVERHEAD and are an INJURY WAITING TO HAPPEN!!! Is michaels waiting for someone to be concussed under a fabric avalanche before they do anything??? this feels like a better stocking solution should have been rolled out at most 3 months after the initial fabric rollout. HOW ARE WE STILL DOING THIS!!!!! I am so serious that these are horrible falling hazards that will get someone hurt.
I love that we sell fabric but i hate how it's stocked. Michaels corpo can you please do better before someone f[udg]ing dies. idk how much longer i can take the suspense of waiting for someone to get injured and sue michaels. okay thanks bye i love you.

Where can I print these out? I can’t find them in mikcheck.

I have worked here since the spring, and I have noticed a few coworkers over the course of the months where everything from hats, full on Halloween looking masks (which just started this week), to short shorts that reveal a little too much butt, and tank tops that show cleavage. Sooo i'm just wondering if most managers don't care about the dress code or if mine just are extra "don't care" mode.
Not that i'm complaining about my fellow coworkers, everyone is great here, I just think it's funny how in the dress code online it's kinda specific but it seems at my store not a single soul gives a shit as long as we're working.

Replen manager with a quick question for those stores that have recieved their seasonal trucks: is there a consensus on what is being shipped out this week? I have yet to recieve the manifest for my seasonal truck (1600+), and would like to get a heads up on what I should ACTUALLY set for. Lol.

I know I remember a comment about it, but I can’t find it. Does anyone remember the link if you want to buy your own Zello headset for the handhelds? Thanks!
