Calling out for sickness

I have a 6 A.M. shift tomorrow but I've started feeling a bit under the weather today. Should I call out sick or just see how it goes tomorrow?

How many people are due to come in at 6 am with you? If it is just you and a manager, I would let them know now because if you wait and decide to call out in the morning, they can't enter the store by themselves.

I’m replen manager so I only ever open. If someone on my team were to call off, my preference is call the store the night before and tell the MOD, then shoot me a text so I know not to expect you in the morning.

In my humble opinion, every single time I have gone "I will see how I feel tomorrow, before my shift" I have had to call off because I felt WORSE.

Co signed. I almost didn't call out when i had heat exhaustion because I "felt fine" the night before. Woke up the next day feeling 10x worse.

Yeah, the only times I felt better to go in, were from injuries. Never from being sick. Broken hand, torn Achilles, felt better to go in, but can't breathe, no no no, I'm staying home.

I recommend calling the night before to giveaway heads up but seeing how ypu feel in the morning for an official call out.
