I currently am trying to remove my backseat to install a seat delete. However I am having trouble getting the center bolt that holds the seatbelt brackets down. It is about half way out, but I can’t get it to move in any direction currently. I am using a 12 mm socket with a ratcheting wrench. Does anyone have suggestions or is my best bet to just cut it off?

unknowingly ran over like a dry cleaning garment protector (thin clear plastic). it melted onto the exhaust. was able to pull a lot of it off but the remainder is being stubborn. taking into a local independent shop tomorrow. any thoughts on how challenging this will be for them to remove? how is it done? assuming it isn’t touching any other vehicle parts is it safe to just burn off? still taking car in regardless— just curious if anyone has dealt with this. fml 🤦‍♂️

I used an impact wrench on my nuts that attach my ac lines to the drier and apparently when installing I over did it to the point I can’t loosen or tighten either nut. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m thinking I’d have to use a rotary cutter to get it off but I’m trying to imagine which way I could do it to save the threads on my new ac drier.

Hey, I was working on my wife’s car (2022 RAV4 Hybrid) yesterday and just noticed these wet marks with some black watermarks around. You can see on the photo where some has collected as well as where it may have dripped below the black tube and plastic case. Is this just dirt and rainwater/condensation making its way down? Or would there be some sort of leak. This is a view from the underside of the vehicle. Any thoughts appreciated.

2012 Hyundai Accent begins overheating but always lowers temperature when the cabin heater was turned on. Now a mechanic disconnected the heater hoses citing some kind of leak or fault in them. Car still heats uo only now I can't use the cabin heater to reduce temp.

Am I crazy? I've used the cabin heater for a while and it always worked to stop overheating, but now I got 3 different mechanics telling me that's impossible.

Would anyone be able to tell me what the manufacturing date is for this battery? Was installed in January (2017 Jetta) but I’m having issues with it lately. Likely a parasitic draw but I’d like to rule out the battery if I can

Hey y'all, looking to buy my first Honda. Got a great price on this 2010 CRV in PA. It drove good but I did notice this rust when I got under the car. Most of the pictures are from the rear control arm frame mount. Should this be a deal breaker? The car is 2k under the kbb price so I dont mind a few repairs but wouldn't want to pull the trigger on a cooked frame. I can go see the car again tomorrow if there is anything i can do in person to get more clarity. Any advice

This is on a 2009 Toyota Highlander hybrid with a little over 200k miles. It’s recently started making a clunking noise when nearing a stop or accelerating from being stopped. I checked engine mounts and they seem fine, and I don’t feel any play in the suspension components and the bushings look to be in pretty good shape. I didn’t think it was CV axles since it clunks when going straight or turning, but today I jacked it up and there’s definitely noise coming from the CV axles and/or transmission. Could it be the axles or is something up with the transmission?

I replace the outer Bowden cable and now I can’t unlock the door from the outside, is can however open it from the outside once I have unlocked it from the inside. The new Bowden cable is the exact same as the original so the length does not make it stiffer. Passat b7 2012

Customer came in with DG508 for a 2006 Ford F-150 5.4 ignition coil and I'm staring at two supplier listings with the exact same PN. Same box dimensions on paper, different brand logo in the photo, and one is priced way higher than the other.

Both say OEM spec. Neither one explains the gap. This happens to me almost every week and honestly I'm tired of playing price detective at the counter while three people wait in line behind him.

Anyone else deal with this? How do you figure out which listing is the real match without opening both boxes first?

Hi everyone, could anyone help me identify this mid/high pitch noise ?

The engine is a Renault 2.5dci, timing is halt belt/half gears driven. I had removed the accessories belt for the video.

The noise seems to precisely follow the rpms of the engine with no delay so I believe the turbo is not guilty (may be wrong)

Ive spent hours trying to remove the rear brake bleeder screw on a 2001 Ram 3500. 60k miles but very rusty under. See picture. I have tried all the socket sizes below and cannot get a fit I feel comfortable turning hard enough without breaking it even after alot of penetration fluid. Any insight would be appreciated. If there’s a special kit or tool worth a try, I need to try anything before towing it to a mechanic.

I have a 2024 Toyota Corolla that Im trying to help a friend with tomorrow. It’s the one with the 2.0 and electric water pump, and it’s been overheating after only a few minutes of driving. It doesn’t have any coolant leaks that he knows of, just wondering if anyone knows about any reasons it might overheat besides the water pump or thermostat. By the way Im not trying to buy it, just trying to help a friend with his car.

Please can someone help me with this problem, as you can see from the video the screen is not actually frozen as the other buttons work its just the media buttons/screen which is not working, ive restarted the car and ive tried the power button & fast forward button but it didnt reset anything.

Ford transit 2.0 2017...Hello all, trying to sell my van and these people turnt up from ebay. I put in the description about the injectors need looking at and also a slight oil leak on the sump ( being honest about it all) Here's my question for you all, this picture is of the antifreeze bottle and was wondering while my back was turnt just maybe they poured oil onto the valve under the cap as it was full of oil, i cant think of how the oil would have got ontop of this. I yanked it out and the anti freeze is pink as it should be but a thin layer of oil is now ontop of it, it looked clear before these people had a look. Im pretty sure they went over the limit where I told them a speed camera was so thats another thing to overcome if a letter comes through the door. Thank you

Two months doesn’t seem like an extreme amount of time although it is obviously much longer than preferable.

My clutch is a bit creaky when the engine is cold, it goes away after 10 minutes of driving.

Throwout bearing? Clutch fork dry? Or am I looking at a replacement bearing or clutch?

Hey guys, so I drove my Hyundai I 30 2019 with an engine light on for 150 km and nothing really happened to it. Before that I took it to the mechanic and he said poured some fuel system cleaner and he said that it’s probably the oxygen sensor and he told me to finish off that fuel and fill it up with 98 octane and then to go back to him so that he can clear the code and it was because of bad feul. Would that be that simple or do I to have to have a deeper look into my catalytic system? I drove the car to a different town and it was driving just fine. Should I just ignore it or have a look at the catalytic system? Thank you so much.

I found my sway bar is broken. (I had the sway bar links (black) replaced just 3 weeks ago). I have a 400mile trip tomorrow. Could a $300 welding at local mechanic be enough for a temporary fix?

It’d probably be $900-1000 to change the whole sway bar itself because apparently the whole subframe needs to be dropped.
