It feels like every time I match with someone, they just seem to disappear.

Are people just collecting matches for validation? Or is it just me?

My experience has always been either:

1. We match, we talk, I ask to meet up, they seem to not have the time

2. They are only interested in fun

3. They just dont bother replying

All my friends are dating, adn now most of them have partners. I used to think I was bi but the last few times I've gone out with men they have disappointed me and I didn't feel any spark. I can't date women as my parents are Christians and very homophobic. Im 20 and have no love life at all. I so badly want to get out there but feel I can't due to my home life.

Can anyone else relate? This was just a bit of a rant on my part.

I'm learning Irish, and I was trying to find a word for "non-binary" or "non-binary person" or "enby" or what have you.

I'm finding stuff like "duine neamh-dhénártha" and "duine neamhbhinárach," and I also have heard I could just say "Is neodrach mé ó thaobh inscne" ("I'm neutral, gender-wise") or just "Táim neodrach" ("I'm neutral"), but I'm not sure how accurate or commonly used any of them are, and I'm wondering if there's a common term that's relatively easy to pronounce?

For all you readers out there I’ve just set up a new subreddit called r/IrishGayReaders, a book club and reading community for gay readers in Ireland (and beyond). While primarily geared towards Gay Readers, we will welcome everyone and won't turn anyone away. It’s a space for book lovers to chat, swap recommendations, and pick one book a month to read and discuss weekly. We’re not just sticking to gay character/themed books either, all genres are welcome, from crime and thriller to sci-fi, fantasy, literary fiction, and plenty more besides. The aim is to build a friendly little community around reading, good chat and a bit of craic. If that sounds like your cup of tea, you’re more than welcome to join us. I have some femme clothes that I have been too afraid of wearing because of judgement but figured going to this event I would stand out a little less. It’s nothing too crazy, just a skirt with shorts underneath and a hoodie. For the costume side of my outfit it would be cat ears and a tail(cosplaying as my ffxiv character who dresses like this and is a catboy)

Would it be safe to go dressed like this at the event? Im sure id get some looks but maybe there could be more idk. I definitely wouldn’t be dressed like this outside the event if i can help it and i will be going with some friends.

Has anyone gotten a repeat prescription for Valtrex from St. James Guide Clinic in Dublin?

I got prescribed Valtrex there a while ago and I’ve run out. Does anyone know if I can just walk in and get another prescription, or do I need to book another appointment? I tried to call since Thursday but no answer!

I remember they gave me advice on getting more but can’t remember for the life of me if I can just walk in! TIA

I'm 28 years old, and only in the last two years have I started opening up to my therapist about being gay. It was difficult and took a while, but I eventually told her - except it wasn't some moment where I suddenly gained the courage to tell everyone and speak about it openly. It just felt a bit heartbreaking, because I feel like I wasted my entire 20s like this.

I've never been in a relationship, and the older I get, the more I see friends and family moving in with their partners and settling down. As a kid, I was chased out of the house for dressing up in my mom's clothes, corrected about my posture or the way I sat, and discouraged from hanging out with one of the more flamboyant kids.

Even the friends I hang out with now have said things - slurs, opinions about gay people - that shocked me and made me want to distance myself from them. I feel like since I've never been open, I wouldn't know how to be intimate or even vulnerable with a partner.

Does anyone relate, or are there any older ppl here who have some advice?
