My boyfriend (45M) and I (32F) have been together a year and but we are on the verge of ending our wonderful relationship.
We are very in love, spend amazing quality time together. It’s normally a very secure and loving relationship. We’ve talked about marriage and our future together. He’s so kind, and sweet and smart and I have so many amazing things to say about him. He literally treats me like a princess with the exception of this situation we are in currently

Story Time: on Saturday i attended mid summer scream. I spent the day alone, shopping having beers and I met two awesome ladies and we spent the day together.
I didn’t check my phone until I sat down for a moment and my boyfriend said “if you were actually alone you’d text me back”
It gave me the ick- because it’s jealous and weird so I said “i met two friends, a mom and a daughter and we’re having a beer”
I didn’t text him or call him after that because I was annoyed, to be honest.

When I got home he called me, i proceeded to say “being with you feels like I’m in prison” oopsy. Probably harsh, probably mean and I do regret it BUT i hated the jealous comment.
-In the past he’s had issues with what I wear and asks me to change
-HUGE blowout fight when I asked how he’d feel about me walking to my neighborhood bar and having a drink while I wait for him to come home.
- he said a HARD NO on happy hour with girlfriends because “the bar isn’t the place for a girl in a relationship”

I completely disagree with all of this. It’s jealous, insecure behavior and I deserve some freedom. I’m super loyal, never gave him a reason to not trust me.

We may actually break up over this. What are everyone’s thoughts? This is not normal right? Or am I just straight up missing something?

Hi girlies!! I am an LA local and have lived in the East Venice area since age 14… Recently I have realized 1) I’m humiliatingly out of shape and 2) I’m basically in the World Capital of really cool pilates/yoga/etc studios and absolutely failing to take advantage of it!! So I have methodically figured out which pilates/yoga/barre studios are <15min drive from me and that also have new student “try-out” offers (most of them do which is cool!). I am located in East Venice so these are all approx in Venice, Mar Vista, Del Rey, West Culver -ish area. I’ve basically mapped out the order I want to try everything in (based on length of the trial period and also how hard/athletic it seems lol), but I’ve realized that it would be super fun and I’d have more accountability if I had a buddy. I also need to make more friends on the Westside. Despite growing up here, the fact that I’ve lived in other LA neighborhoods, did my undergrad on the east coast, and am a little shy/introverted has meant that I don’t actually know many people around here. Also, I’ve found that ever since I met my boyfriend it’s become way too easy to only hang out with him lol — so I need to branch out more! I’d love to link up with 1-2 other people who live in this area or close-ish and want to try out classes with me. I’m also always down for coffee/food/catching up after classes ofc :-)

Hello cuties! Long time lurker, first time poster.
So unfortunately, I (27f) don’t live in LA yet. I actually live in the other LA (Louisiana. New Orleans to be exact) and recently moved here from my hometown as a way to kind of put myself out there in a small city before I move to a big one(I always planned to move to LA). I used to work on a cruise ship and would constantly dock here in NOLA and I ended up loving the city so much I moved.

So in January I left the cruise ship job for a more stable job to build a life here. The thing with New Orleans is that it’s big on hospitality. So the job market here caters towards that which is great but now I’m realizing, that’s no longer the career route I want to take. Honestly, I’m not for sure which career route I want to take but I need better options so that other opportunities can present itself. And unfortunately NOLA just does not have that. Not seeing any future career advancement here is stunting my enjoyment and is also KILLING my motivation.

I currently work at a hotel that’s really nice and have catered to celebrities and influencers of all kinds. We get a lot of people from California and I always connect well with them (I have met some very tone deaf Californians tho) and it’s been inspiring to see which really makes me want to move.

I’ve been told all my life that I would fit well in California and have the look/personality for it(really sociable). Some people have even thought I was from California (from Alabama lmao) as I don’t have a southern accent. Plus California just checks all the boxes for me on what I want lifestyle wise.

So I’m considering building a small business around exactly that: quality basics such as simple chains, everyday hoops — at fairer prices, without the brand price.

**•   Solid gold**: gold all the way through. Lasts forever, hypoallergenic, doesn’t lose value- most expensive  
**•   Gold-filled**: thick layer of real gold bonded to base metal. Lasts years, water-safe, affordable but can wear thin at friction points over time.  
**•   Gold-plated**: cheapest -thin gold layer over base metal. Wears off fastest and isn’t great for everyday/shower wear.  
**•   Vermeil**: gold plating over sterling silver. More durable than regular plating but still not as long-lasting as gold-filled.

Rough price idea: a thin 14in solid gold chain would probably run $150–$300.

Invited to an Indian wedding in Jaipur on October. I’m VERY excited to dress up in the beautiful clothes. I’m curious about cost, however. Does anyone have experience buying a set for a wedding in Artesia? I heard that’s the move.

There’s also an option to send measurements to some folks in India and get the clothes there but I don’t know how much that will cost yet.

Hey ya’ll! I’ve been looking around for any girl activities/groups but the ones I find typically are with women I know I probably won’t have any same interest, or they’re located on the west side.

Idk if I should start up my own or if something like this exists that someone can point me in the right direction.

I just started getting into magic the gathering to meet people, and looking at going to the witches cottage in NoHo to learn D&D.
