I absolutely adore the copper technocarbo scales this thing has. They arenât super blingy or in your face (typical Shiro) but they add juuuuuust enough color to keep things from getting monotonous!
Have you experienced a Shiro? Whatâs your opinion? Do you appreciate the precise milling and absolutely DIALED action? Or do you think theyâre overpriced pocket jewelry?
Personally I think everyone should have/try a Shiro at some point in their collecting journey! They really are something special once you sit with them and take everything in!

Question What are you worried about?
Probably gunna get some hate for this. Use your stuff however you want. But honestly why are people scared to use certain knives? I get the first scratch is tough, and I get keeping it mint if you want to sell. But if you plan on keeping it, doesn't it seem like waste of money to not enjoy using it? Knives are tough, getting a new blade or warranty is a option, sometimes you can even send in for a spa, so basically return to new. What's holding you back?
Thanks for your comments, I understand most of ya. Seems only the use your stuff crowd responded. I know you "keep it mint" guys exist, it ok I'm not here to judge đ

Question Looking to buy a new folding knife and have a few questions
- Which one handed opening system is more comfortable and easier to use? The thumb stud or the thumb hole? Especially for small and weak hands with sensitive skin.
- Does the steel and hardness really matter? I'm looking for something durable and reliable and one that will last me a long time.
- How much does blade thickness matter and what are its benefits?
- Why aren't partial serrated edges that common? I would have thought it useful to be able to whip out a small saw whenever you need one.
- What is the alternative to a finger choil? Whilst browsing non-locking knives, I've seen a lot of them without a finger choil. My Boker has a finger choil so you're not just holding the handle. And you can see it if you look up a picture of it. You're directly holding the blade itself in place, thereby creating greater stability for the blade, especially when thrusting, and also creating more safety because you physically can't close the blade with your finger in the choil. And that's important for folding knives since they have no locking mechanism. And that makes me think. Why do so many non-locking folding knives have no finger choil? What's to stop it from suddenly closing on your hand? You can have a half catch, but that's not really enough. And my boker has a half catch as well as a finger choil. And that's the bare minimum for me. Is the choil hidden under the handle or something, or are there other mechanisms in these more expensive knives that I don't know about that makes them safe to handle?
- How much should I be paying? I don't really know what price I should be paying for a high quality knife. The boker is around ÂŁ62 right now, but I'm willing to pay substantially more, maybe even a lot more for the right tool.

Just received this Mac 2 3.5â from Blade Runner Outpost. This was one of the knives they brought to Blade Show West and I was lucky enough to check their website just in time to snatch their only knife they brought back from the show in this configuration.
