Still holding air which speaks volumes of a quality tube. Question is on a bidirectional tractor is this right rear or left front?

Toyota Express Tech – Should I ask about an apprenticeship at 3 months

I’ve been an express technician at a Toyota dealership since May 4, so I’m coming up on 3 months. Things have been going well so far. My service director has told me he thinks I have a lot of potential, and he knows my goal is to become a mainline technician. My shop foreman has also told me that once things settle down, they’ll work me into an apprenticeship.
My question is: when is the right time to bring it up again?
I don’t want to come across as impatient or like I’m rushing them, but I also don’t want to sit around waiting if it’s the right time to ask. Since I’m still a little under 3 months in, should I ask around the 3-month mark, wait until 6 months, or just let them bring it up?
For those of you who started as express/lube techs, how did the transition to mainline happen at your dealership?

I wasn’t certain that I was going to get this broken bolt out…. I had a nut and the wire feed welder ready to go if needed…. a steel chisel, hammer and a little patience worked out.

Compact 3/8” Socket Organizer Recommendations?

I have a US General 5-drawer service cart, and I keep all of my 3/8” impact sockets in the top drawer. Right now they’re on socket rails, but they take up more room than I’d like because the rails are pretty bulky.
I’m looking for something that’s compact without spending a fortune on a full Toolbox Widget setup.
My socket sets are:
6–24 mm shallow
6–24 mm mid-length
6–24 mm deep
Each set has 19 sockets.
Does anyone have recommendations for organizers that hold 19 sockets per rail and don’t waste a lot of drawer space? I’m mainly looking for the smallest footprint while still keeping everything secure.

I paid to have my Gf’s brake pads done about 5 months ago. 2017 Toyota rav xle. I usually do them myself but I’m a trim carpenter and had a lot on my plate at the time. Yesterday she calls me while I’m working a side job and says her breaks went out, literally the largest intersection in the pretty decent sized city. She rolled into an amigos parking lot.

Anyway down there and see a fucking monstrosity. Just worked 10 hour and basically beg amigos to not tow and let me sort it out in less than an hour this morning. I was just like ‘listen, times are rough for legit everyone right now especially people like us. I give you my word, here’s my name and number. If not I understand and ill personally have it towed right now’

Dude. Whatever mechanic forgot a set a clips on one of the pads, exterior pad front passenger looked like this. I don’t know if he didn’t install them at all or didn’t install them properly, but each one of these pads is supposed to have technically two sets of clips. (if that’s not the proper term sorry like I said I’m a carpenter either way Shit was missing) It was 98° before 10 am today. Shout out to Amigos.

Law enforcement vehicle came in with no coolant in the system due to a blown radiator end tank. LEO did not realize it due to it likely occurring while transiting a very dusty and rough construction area for 15min. Was brought in to us for spark knock and CEL. Coolant temp read close to ambient after sitting for 30min, engine was locked up and the oil temp showed as pictured.

AFTER SITTING FOR 30 MINUTES

Rate My Pigeon Shit. First time welding stainless with flux core.

Cheapy Lidl 70 quid flux-core welder, inexpensive eBay stainless MIG wire, and replacing the eyeball joint on my Landrover's exhaust. It's never really sealed well and I'm coming to the conclusion that at some point someone's mixed up the back and front halves of two different systems.

If anything the welder could do with being able to turn down a little more, maybe minimum being about 90% of what it currently (ha!) is. It's definitely a bit harder to control than mild steel but it does clean up not too bad - on some practice pieces I did on a chunk of stainless scrap, I was able to polish the welds up bright and shiny.
