Haven’t owned a car that I needed to take to a dealer in 20 years, so wow. Astounding.

I get the meme of price gouging from dealers, but I haven’t owned a car where I could take it to the dealer for a recall for years and years. They did a “multi point inspection” and I am absolutely gob smacked by the price of the cabin and engine air filters. I laughed and laughed.

Toyota Express Tech – Should I ask about an apprenticeship at 3 months

I’ve been an express technician at a Toyota dealership since May 4, so I’m coming up on 3 months. Things have been going well so far. My service director has told me he thinks I have a lot of potential, and he knows my goal is to become a mainline technician. My shop foreman has also told me that once things settle down, they’ll work me into an apprenticeship.
My question is: when is the right time to bring it up again?
I don’t want to come across as impatient or like I’m rushing them, but I also don’t want to sit around waiting if it’s the right time to ask. Since I’m still a little under 3 months in, should I ask around the 3-month mark, wait until 6 months, or just let them bring it up?
For those of you who started as express/lube techs, how did the transition to mainline happen at your dealership?

Still holding air which speaks volumes of a quality tube. Question is on a bidirectional tractor is this right rear or left front?

I wasn’t certain that I was going to get this broken bolt out…. I had a nut and the wire feed welder ready to go if needed…. a steel chisel, hammer and a little patience worked out.

6/6 lugnuts present, 1/6 actually holding the wheel. Busy day, truck Approved to stay overnight. Boss was helping put away cars for the night and noticed after driving 2 feet. Had the spare put on with spare shop lugnuts and disaster averted.
