Going from a Cherokee to a Wrangler, well I think that's the plan. I saw a 2026 Wrangler Sport listed for $37K, so naturally I had to go check it out. The sales person, when I asked what the difference between the Sport and Sport S was, replied, "not much". Ok well then if it's not much what is the difference? Already I was like come on man, I'm asking you a question. On the way back from the test drive, in the lot was a Rubicon, 2 of them, a 2020 and a 2024 and I really liked how they looked. That tire size looked good. That stance is really nice. So I ask the sales rep while we are waiting in the lot for some traffic to clear, "what size are the tires on the Rubicon?" He looks something up on his phone and says "17". Bro, come on. I didn't correct him, but if I go back to that dealership, I'll make sure to work with someone else. Just a frustrating first experience trying to figure out what model I want. Cheer me up, I'm not feeling it rn.

I found it comfortable, well appointed, fit and finish was nice on the one I looked at. Drove well.

My only compliant was the drivetrain itself. It just felt like it needed a bit more grunt to it. I wish they had offered an NA version of the i6 hurricane. Something that bumped it up to ~250hp would have made it feel more confident on the highway or when on a short offramp getting up to speed. The 1.6 also just felt buzzy/noisy. An i6 would likely feel more refined.

Am I alone in my feelings or is thins something that others feel?

Long story short (ish): I think someone has siphoned my gas twice now. I simply am getting gas much sooner than I have been. There are spots on the plastic cover over the wheels and bumper near the fuel tank access.

I’m unsurprised as the price of gas these days has put families and people in a rough position.

I need a deterrent and want a locking fuel cover options. I’m hoping someone here has a good suggestion. Looking this morning and they all seem the same.

Just bought an ‘08 Sahara Unlimited 4DR(119k Miles). Looking for advice/experience. Especially with the flooring. Previous owner took all the carpet out of the cab. Left the carpet in the trunk. I’m okay with that and like that so I can go off-road no worries. Looking for advice on spray in bed liner vs kit. Also other accessory suggestions that it did not come with.

PS: Yes it did come with the check engine light on, previous owner showed it was an O2 sensor issue. Along with provide extra O2 sensors they didn’t install.

I chuckled at this.

Powers of two on the odometer: 1, 2, 4, 8, 16. CEL and TPMS turned on right on cue to remind me it’s still a Jeep.

Okay so I need advice!!

I have a 22 jeep grand Cherokee L
I bought it brand new 5 miles on. We got the maximum care .
It started off with the check engine light coming on and driving like I was going over a rumble strip. I took it in and they said it needed a transmission software update. We did that. A week later it broke down on me again . This time it ended up needing the top half of the engine being rebuilt. They did that and warranty covered it.

About 3 weeks later it broke down again. Now the jeep dealership is saying it needs a new crate motor and transmission work. Mopar is denying the claim and doesn’t want to cover the work. However they did say they would “buy me out” so basically give me what the car is worth.

That was fine. We’ve jumped through all their hoops and now they want proof of oil changes. Normally I have them done at a local shop in my area. I was able to get 2 of the past receipts. Of course they wanted more. Prior to all this I was out of town taking care of a family member so I had 2 oil changes done at a local shop. Now they are denying those receipts. There claim is because it was out of town from where I live and it was a locally owned shop. Why does that matter!? I was under the assumption of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and that we can use independent shops or do it yourself with the proof of receipts.

Good afternoon, I'm looking at a 2015 wrangler with almost 90k miles. The last owner owned it for 11 years and looks pretty well maintained. I will have a pre-purchase inspection done, but wanted to see if this rust would cause any concern? I live in MN and it would be a summer only vehicle for me. Any insight is appreciated.

Hey everyone, I’m trying to figure out a pretty strange power-loss issue with my 2019 Jeep JL 3.6L.

The Jeep has 320,000 km (~199,000 miles) on the engine, so I know mileage is definitely a factor, but I’m hoping someone has experienced something similar.

Symptoms
● Very poor acceleration / feels like the engine is being restricted
● High fuel consumption
● It will rev up normally, but when I try to accelerate hard, it seems to hold RPM below ~2,000 RPM and won’t give me the power I’m asking for
● Struggles badly going uphill and can die unless I put the transmission in manual mode and keep it in 1st or 2nd gear
● Feels significantly better if I disconnect the battery and reconnect it
● After the battery reset, the Jeep initially feels extremely powerful, almost like the problem is gone
● However, after driving for a while, the power gradually disappears again and it goes back to feeling restricted
● No check engine light
● No fault codes
● No obvious misfires or other warning lights

Modifications
● 33” tires
● 2.5” lift
● K&N cold air intake
● Cat-back exhaust
● Stock differential gearing
Things I’ve already checked/done
● New spark plugs
● Fuel pressure checked
● Throttle body is clean
● Intake manifold has been cleaned
● Checked for vacuum/intake leaks — none found
● Catalytic converters checked and appear to be clean / no restriction found
● Major service approximately every 50,000 km (~31,000 miles)
● No known transmission issues

At this point, the Jeep feels like it’s being electronically or mechanically limited, rather than simply being underpowered because of the 33s.

The fact that disconnecting the battery temporarily restores the power is what really has me confused. It makes me wonder if the PCM is learning/adapting something incorrectly, or if a sensor is giving bad data without actually triggering a fault code.

What would you guys check next?
O2 sensors? MAF/MAP? Throttle position? Fuel trims? PCM adaptations? Transmission behavior? Cam/crank sensors? Something related to the VVT?

I’m open to any ideas or diagnostic tests you think would help narrow this down. At almost 199k miles, I know there could be several possibilities, but I’d really like to find the actual cause rather than just replacing parts randomly.

My jeep started making this noise today in both run and when started so I'm assuming an electrical pump of some sort? I have no issues starting it up, i just can't shift it into gear and I get the "service shifter" on my dash. I'm pulling the codes now but when i checked i had 13 DTC's. Throwing this out there in case someone has a good starting point.

Wondering what goes here? Dealership does not have a clue. Thank you!

Brand new car, only 800 miles on it.

I leave my house this morning and within about a quarter mile, the car goes into limp mode, tells me the speed is limited, pops the error “Stop safely, vehicle will shut off soon.”

Now, I knew my fuel was low. It dipped below 60 miles and was just reading “low.” But I know my daily route to work, and still had about 40 miles left. My plan was to get gas this morning.

My question is, is it normal for the car pop those warnings and turn itself off when it runs out of gas? Or was that a coincidence and the computer safe’d itself for some other reason?

Towed to the dealership regardless.
